The controller is capable of operating in a charging mode for controlling charging of the power supply, a first mode different from the charging mode, and a second mode different from the charging mode and the first mode, and is capable of executing diagnosis processes of the power supply in each of the first mode and the second mode.

The sock will additionally increase an athlete's vertical jump height and lateral foot speed. The sock enacts tensions on the foot at specific locations causing the foot to dorsiflex. The sock incorporates elastic material from the balls of the feet to an area ranging from the instep to above the ankle to provide tension for dorsiflexion. Elastic material is placed around the ankle and heel for support and protection while maintaining tensile strength that does not inhibit easy application of the sock or the foot's range of motion. Elastic material can be added around the arch of the sock to further reduce the aggravation of, or bring relief from, plantar fasciitis.

At least some of the cellulose particles are at least partially exposed from the outer surface.

Abstract: Aspects of the present invention relate to systems and methods of integrating dynamic materials into articles for adjustable physical characteristics (e.g., aesthetic, functional). For example, in response to a human's body heat, a dynamic material may change shape to allow additional permeability in an article of clothing. Similarly, in response to the presence of moisture, an article of clothing may close a vent to prevent the introduction of rain into an internal portion of the article. The shape changing material may change shape that merely affects a feature formed by the shape changing material. Additionally, it is contemplated that the shape changing material may change shape that affects a geometric structure of the article as a whole (e.g., protrusions, dimples, vents, etc.).

The textile layer has at least one breathable region at a distance from the wearer's skin when the garment is worn, in which breathable region a plurality of thread tentacles, each designed in a single piece as an open loop, are brought out of individual second threads into the textile layer in such a way that each thread tentacle has two tentacle sections pointing away from the inner side of the textile layer and one central section extending along on the outer side. The tentacle sections of the thread tentacles can, when the garment is worn, be brought into direct contact with the surface of the wearer's skin, while the inner side of the textile layer remains at a distance from the skin surface in the region of the breathable region.

The protective headwear provides an elongated member that can be selectively attached around the head of a wearer by way of an adjustable attachment point. The elongated member also has a draping material for extending therefrom for protecting the wearer's neck and ears from the environmental elements, such as the sunlight.

Abstract: A single-layer shock-absorbing sports helmet formed by steam, including a hard shell and an EPP layer. The hard shell is fitted and bonded with the EPP layer by glue, and the hard layer covers an outer surface of the EPP layer. The EPP layer is made of an EPP material which is waterproof and heat resisting and insulating, such that the wearing comfort of the helmet is effectively improved. The hard shell and the EPP layer are bonded by glue, so less materials are used, thus the weight and cost will be reduced without affecting the use of the helmet. In addition, the helmet also has excellent impact resistance.

Abstract: A helmet comprises a protective shell, an energy absorbing layer defining an inner surface of the helmet and a shear component. The shear component extends over one or more areas of the inner surface of the helmet and has an outer surface removably coupled to the inner surface of the helmet. The shear component has a distal inner surface configured to contact a wearer's head, or to support and retain a separate comfort pad configured to contact the wearer's head. In response to an oblique impact to the helmet, the shear component undergoes internal shear to allow displacement between the helmet and the wearer's head.

Abstract: A removable chin curtain assembly selectively attachable to a helmet is disclosed. The helmet has a helmet shell, a chin strap, and a pair of fasteners connecting the chin strap portion to the helmet shell. The fasteners are made at least in part of ferromagnetic material. The removable chin curtain assembly has a chin curtain and at least one permanent magnet connected to the chin curtain. The at least one permanent magnet is adapted for selectively magnetically connecting the chin curtain to at least one of the fasteners. Alternative embodiments of a removable chin curtain assembly are also disclosed.

Abstract: A motorized personal transportation article is described which transports a person by wearing a pair of power-assisted motorized shoes, wherein the shoes provide an increase in a user's walking speed in a forward walking action through supplementary motion of moving or propelling means based on an intended walking speed of the user, such that when a user's intended walking speed changes or when a user intends to substantially decelerate or immobilize, the speed of the supplementary motion can be adjusted before the step is completed. The sole of each of the shoes houses at least one plate coupled to moving or propelling means such as conveyor assemblies, and the moving or propelling means are designed to neutralize forces acting to disrupt the operation of the moving or propelling means during a forward walking action or the balance and comfort of the user.

Alignment of the parts may be provided through at least partial alignment of apertures in the flat pattern upper and apertures in a securing element and/or other flat pattern pieces, including using multi-purpose apertures, allowing streamlined processing and manufacturing of footwear.
