Abstract: An artificial hair fastening tool is provided which enables efficient operations of putting a human hair into a loop of an artificial hair and making a knot in the human hair for preventing the artificial hair from coming off. An artificial hair fastening method for fastening an artificial hair to a human hair efficiently and without imposing strain on the human hair is also provided. The artificial hair fastening tool includes: a front end portion having a spindle shape with a groove on a circumferential surface along a longitudinal direction and having a tip end on one end; and a rear end portion having a rod-like shape and extending from the front end portion toward an opposite side to the tip end.

The bicycle helmet includes a first and second side frame disposed respectively at the first and second ends of the honeycomb matrix. A sliding latch permits selective translation of the first and second side frames.

Abstract: An infant hat with magnets and a detachable strap with magnets are described. The magnets in the hat are opposite in polarity to those in the detachable strap. The detachable strap secures the infant hat under the chin of the infant. Alternatively, hook and loop type fastening materials are used with magnets or instead of magnets.

Abstract: A liner for a ski boot has a tongue with an outer substantially saddle-shaped generally stiff layer generally conforming to a dorsal surface of a foot, an inner padding layer contacting the dorsal surface and having a first and second portion. The second portion covers at least a part of a dorsalis pedis artery and is softer than the first portion. A support layer is outside the outer layer and at least partially overlaps the second portion. Also provided is a tongue for footwear having an outer substantially saddle-shaped generally stiff layer conforming to the dorsal surface, an inner padding layer contacting the dorsal surface and having a first and second portion. The second portion covers at least a part of a dorsalis pedis artery and is softer than the first portion. A support layer is outside the outer layer and at least partially overlaps the second portion.

The multi-surface traction sling is composed of a generally flexible and stretchable sling and a traction sole that is much less flexible and possesses a high coefficient of friction.

Abstract: A medical shoe having a plurality of outsole projections is provided. The medical shoe may include a sole assembly configured to support a foot, and a frame surrounding the sole assembly. The sole assembly may include a midsole portion forming a substantially planar surface for supporting the foot and an outsole portion including the plurality of outsole projections extending from the midsole portion. The frame may include a plurality of through holes corresponding to the plurality of outsole projections. The plurality of outsole projections may extend through the plurality of through holes so as to form a ground contacting surface. The plurality of outsole projections may also be provided in a symmetrical pattern. The sole assembly may be secured to the frame by a self-locking fit between the sole assembly and the frame.

The spring holding unit includes spring holding members and branches connecting corresponding spring holding members.

A soft grip sole will be added to the bottom of platform which will include lines on bottom of sole for grip when walking in high heels.

The cleaning implements can be selected from one or more mops, brooms, dusters, and the like. The device further includes covers that house the cleaning implements when not in use. Specifically, a particular cleaning implement (e.g., mop or broom) can be concealed by a cover, allowing the user to easily use the full length of the handle during cleaning.

Abstract: A magnetically driven electric toothbrush head includes a brush body, a movable board and a screw cap with a cavity. A fixed frame is arranged in the cavity. Two spaced twisting plates are connected between the fixed frame and the movable board. The movable board is connected with a driving shaft extending through the fixed frame and the elastic cover is fixedly connected with the brush body. The bottom of the movable board is provided with permanent magnets. When the screw cap is connected to the brush handle, under the magnetic effect between the electromagnet and the permanent magnets and the distortion restriction of the twisting plates, the movable board drives the driving shaft and the brush body to rotate reciprocatingly and synchronously. The lower part of the twisting plate is exposed to form a twisting section which is connected to the driving shaft via a rubber strip.

Abstract: Described herein are devices for cleansing the internal surface of various body cavities. The devices generally include a handle and one or more cleansing tips having different sets of cleansing surfaces. In addition to removing debris, and disrupting bacterial biofilms so as to make these bacteria more susceptible to various cleansing agents, the devices may be configured to deliver an antiseptic agent, an anti-inflammatory agent, or a fragrance to the body cavity surfaces, or deliver UV light to sanitize the surfaces. Methods for cleansing the surfaces of body cavities such as the nasal passages and vaginal cavity are also described herein. Systems including one or more cleansing devices and one or more cleansing formulations are further described.

Abstract: A method of identifying a toothbrush user from among a plurality of different toothbrush users comprises obtaining data indicative of toothbrush motion relative to at least two axes of the toothbrush and filtering the motion data to extract motion data over a predetermined frequency range, such as within a predetermined frequency passband. A motion component distribution of the filtered motion data is determined, and the motion component distribution is compared with a plurality of user-specific motion component distributions to establish the data as indicative of one of said plurality of users. Toothbrushing data captured by a multi-user toothbrush motion tracking system can thereby be ascribed to a correct user within a cohort of users of the system.

Abstract: The present application relates to a lifting column for a piece of furniture, in particular for a table. The lifting column comprises a first element and also a second element. The second element is introduced at least some way into the first element. The first element has a spindle, which extends along the longitudinal axis of the first element and projects at least some way into the second element. The second element has a rotor, which is mounted in a rotatable manner in it and has at least one rolling body, which runs in or on a thread helix of the spindle. A rotation of the rotor relative to the spindle gives rise to a linear movement of the second element relative to the first element. The second element also has an arresting device, which, in a first state, blocks the rotation of the rotor relative to the spindle and, in a second state, frees the rotation of the rotor relative to the spindle.

Abstract: A portable and stackable combination umbrella stand and table system comprised of a stand housing interoperable with a first lid portion to cover an opening in an umbrella securing body and a second lid portion to serve as a table top. The stand housing may be configured to form a concave area for receiving sand or other ballast to securely anchor the system in an upright position. As the concave area of the stand housing is filled with sand or other ballast, the first lid portion may serve as a cap by covering the upper portion of the umbrella securing body and prevents the ingress of sand or other ballast material from entering the channel (through which the umbrella pole may thereby be more easily inserted). The first lid may be removed to receive an umbrella within the umbrella securing body, and the second lid portion, which may be configured to be installed with the stand so as to form a table surface, may thereby facilitate snacking once ballast has been received.

Abstract: The present invention provides an automatic pull-down shelf assembly. The assembly can be easily installed within existing article storage racks or cabinets or new cabinets or racks can be built with this assembly. The assembly allows a user to move shelves closer to the user. The assembly includes a cabinet or rack, moving shelves, a pair of shelf guide mechanism, a prime mover, a controller and an operating device. The shelf guide mechanism includes a transition mechanism, a mounting plate, a first bracket, a vertical arm, a second bracket, a horizontal arm and a pivotal arm. The controller enables the assembly to move from a retracted position to the extended position and vice versa as per command received from the user. The assembly can be remotely controlled by software running on an operating device.

Records or other items may be stacked upright and retained in the system.

The base portion further includes a first bracket and a jackscrew threaded into a threaded opening in the first bracket and the post portion further includes a second bracket, where the jackscrew engages the second bracket so that rotation of the jackscrew causes the second bracket to move relative to the first bracket so that the studs slide in the slots and increase the length of the post assembly to remove the sag.

Abstract: This base isolation system protects barrel racks from earthquake motions through a pad designed to slide on a prepared surface to critically reduce the amount of energy otherwise transferred to a stack of barrels. The pad is comprised of two layers: a plate, usually steel, and an underlayer, usually a high density plastic. The interaction of the underlayer with the prepared surface depends on a coefficient of static and kinetic friction between the underlayer and the surface that prevents relative movement in normal operation and yet allows the isolation pad to move relative to the surface during a seismic event.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a power recliner including a seatback having an angle that is adjusted when an external gear coupled to an accommodation groove of an internal gear is eccentrically rotated as wedges are operated, in which a support groove having a level difference is formed in the accommodation groove of the internal gear and maintains a predetermined radius based on a burring part, in which the wedges are installed and inserted into the support groove so as to be moved along the support groove, and in which when a load is applied to a seatback, the wedges are dually in contact with a cam and an inner stepped surface of the support groove or dually in contact with the burring part of the internal gear and the inner stepped surface of the support groove to disperse the load, thereby improving maximum strength of the recliner.
