Abstract: In a ruthenium complex compound according to the present invention, an NHC ligand has an excellent electron-donating ability to stabilize methylidene species due to the steric interaction between substituents having relatively different sizes. The ruthenium complex compound can improve selectivity when used as a catalyst due to having an asymmetric structure, and the activity of the ruthenium complex compound can be improved by adjusting substituents and additives. Accordingly, the ruthenium complex compound can be used as a catalyst in cross metathesis reactions including ethenolysis to produce desired compounds such as linear ?-olefins at high yield, even under relatively mild conditions.

Abstract: The present invention deals with catalysts for the conversion of CO by the shifting reaction of high temperature water gas, free from chromium and iron, consisting of alumina promoted by potassium, by zinc and copper oxides and in a second embodiment also additionally nickel. The catalysts thus prepared maintain high CO conversion activity, not having the environmental limitations or operating limitations with low excess steam in the process, which exist for catalysts in accordance with the state of the art. Such catalysts are used in the hydrogen or synthesis gas production process by the steam reforming of hydrocarbons, allow the use of low steam/carbon ratios in the process, exhibiting high activity and stability to thermal deactivation and lower environmental restrictions for production, storage, use and disposal, than the industrially used catalysts based on iron, chromium, and copper oxides.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for determining the sensitivity of a target to a therapeutic formula. The systems include a measurement device for measuring properties of a target sample fluid housed within a cartridge (the cartridge having at least one test compartment and at least one control compartment). Methods can include determining the concentration of the target suspended in a target sample fluid and placing the target sample fluid into at least one test compartment comprising a first therapeutic formula. The system, via a processor, measures the properties of the sample fluid, compares the measured properties to a threshold property, determines the sensitivity of a target species to a therapeutic formula, and presents an indicator of the target sensitivity to an end user. In some embodiments, the sensitivity data can be stored to a database for later use by an adaptive machine learning tool.
