Abstract: A method for measuring cardiac pressure includes positioning a fluid-filled catheter and a pressure wire sensor at a cardiac pressure calibration location. A first pressure measurement is acquired from the fluid-filled catheter and a second pressure measurement is acquired from the pressure wire sensor. A set of equalization parameters is identified to apply to the first pressure measurement to reduce an error between the first pressure measurement and the second pressure measurement. The equalization parameters include a frequency correction parameter and a damping correction parameter to correct for frequency and damping of oscillations in the first pressure measurement. A third pressure measurement is acquired from the fluid-filled catheter. The set of equalization parameters is applied to equalize the third pressure measurement.

The pressure sensing circuit may sense a pulse vibration to generate a sensing signal. The reference circuit may generate a reference signal according to a base signal. A first input terminal of the output circuit is coupled to the pressure sensing circuit. A second input terminal of the output circuit is coupled to the reference circuit. The output circuit generates a pulse sensing current at an output terminal of the output circuit according to a difference between the sensing signal and the reference signal.

Abstract: An optical sensing system includes an optical detector, a rigid support structure for attaching the detector and a coherent light source to a patient and holding those in position, relative to soft tissue, while the coherent light forms a speckle pattern within the tissue in view of the detector. Attaching the detector to the patient via the rigid structure permits hands-free detection of the speckle pattern by the detector. Preferably, the rigid support structure is configured for fitment to teeth of the patient for hands-free positioning of the light source and the detector to image sublingual tissue of the patient and the detector and light source are communicatively coupled to a computer station such that the system is operable for: continuous, hands-free monitoring, by laser speckle imaging, of microcirculation while the patient is in shock, and to manage fluid delivery.

Abstract: An electronic device receives a first input, where an air pump inflates and pressurizes an airbag. The electronic device obtains a pressure value of the airbag in a process of controlling the air pump to inflate and pressurize the airbag. The electronic device obtains a first pressure signal, where the first pressure signal is a signal indicating that the pressure value of the airbag changes with time in a process in which the air pump starts to inflate and pressurize the airbag until the pressure value of the airbag is equal to a preset pressure value. The electronic device determines, based on the first pressure signal, tightness of wearing a wristband by a user. The electronic device corrects, based on the tightness, a blood pressure measurement value determined based on a second pressure signal, to determine a blood pressure value of the user.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a technique for determining a position of a distal end of a probe relative to a blood vessel. The method comprises receiving a first pressure pattern comprising a plurality of pressure values being indicative of a pressure of a fluid when the distal end of the probe is located inside the blood vessel, processing the first pressure pattern, and determining at least one adaptive threshold and/or a tendency indication. The adaptive threshold is indicative of a transition from a first position state to a second position state, or vice versa. The tendency indication is indicative of a certain trend of the pressure pattern. The first position state defines an in-blood vessel condition in which the distal end of the probe is located inside the blood vessel and the second position state defines at least one exit condition in which the distal end of the probe is located at least partially outside the blood vessel.
