An end of the rotation shaft passes through a respective though hole. The middle of the rotation shaft is provided with a bump. A part of the middle of the rotation shaft is rotatably disposed in the second groove, where the part of the middle of the rotation shaft is not provided with the bump. In one embodiment, a swaddle includes continuous upper and lower portions wherein the upper portion includes a flap configured to be secured in a tucked condition to prevent downward migration into the swaddle and the lower portion includes a pocket for accessing the lower body while the infant remains swaddled, for example, to perform a diaper change. First and second fastener pairings secure the flap to the upper portion and left and right side portions in a folded condition, respectively. In embodiments, the left and right side portions may be removably attached to at least the upper portion.

Abstract: A control system for use within an adaptive support garment is discussed herein. The control system can include a lace spool, a ratchet mechanism, an actuator, and a control circuit. The lace spool can include a lace groove adapted to accumulate a portion of a lace cable coupled to a support structure within the adaptive support garment. The ratchet mechanism can be configured to control rotation of the lace spool during operation of the control system. The actuator can be adapted to control engagement of the ratchet mechanism. The control circuit electrically can be coupled to the actuator and can be configured to operate the actuator to engage or disengage the ratchet mechanism. In operation, rotation of the lace spool controls an effective length of the lace cable to provide adaptive support.

Abstract: A control system for controlling tension applied to a lace cable coupled to a support structure of an adaptive support garment is discussed herein. The control system can include a lace spool, a damper mechanism, and a locking ring. The lace spool can include a lace groove to receive the lace cable and a rotary bias member to apply rotational tension to resist extension of the lace cable out of a housing holding the control system. The damper mechanism is engagable with the lace spool to generate an additional rotational tension resisting extension of the lace cable out of the housing. The locking ring is frictionally coupled to the lace spool, and the locking ring can include a lock wedge adapted to disengage the damper mechanism upon rotation into a pre-determined rotational position relative to the damper mechanism.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved brassiere for wearers pre-surgical and post- surgical mastectomy. The brassiere is designed as a universal bra for any woman going through breast cancer treatments. More specifically, the brassiere features removable mastectomy inserts that can be removed for wearing the brassiere as a pre-surgery or traditional brassiere, and can be worn post-surgery with the mastectomy cups removably-attached. The brassiere includes laced insets at shoulder straps and includes ‘royal’ emblem(s) sewn or detachably-attached on the straps. The brassiere includes bra pockets with magnetic strips that can attach to the brassiere underwire without contacting the skin of the wearer. The mastectomy inserts of the brassiere include positive messages printed on them to inspire and motivate the wearer and help in the healing process.

Abstract: An article of apparel providing dynamic support for an appendage of a person is discussed herein. The article of apparel can include a support garment control device configured to provide dynamic support. The support garment control device can include a control lace coupled to a support portion of the article of apparel. In an example, the support garment control device configured to apply a first tension on the control lace, lock the support garment control device at the first tension to inhibit movement of the control lace in response to detecting a change in movement of the person, and unlock the support garment control device after a pre-determined event subsequent to the change in movement of the person.

Abstract: Mesh fabric panels that provide a compressive force to a wearer's mid-section and tummy-covering garments equipped with the mesh fabric panels are disclosed. The mesh fabric panels can be formed of a material having a suitable rigidity for providing the compressive force. The mesh fabric panels include left and right panels adapted to be stitched or otherwise affixed to left and right front sections, respectively, of a garment such as a pant, a dress, a skirt, shorts, swimwear, or the like. Each of the left and right mesh fabric panels includes a seam side edge adapted to be affixed to a corresponding seam side of a tummy-covering garment, a fly side edge adapted to be affixed to a fly facing of the garment, a waist edge, and a bottom edge. The left and/or right mesh fabric panel may be a dual layer panel.

The localized compression effect is configured and adjusted by a textile piece attached at the left side area of the back waistband that can cross the front of the abdomen to the left and a textile piece attached at the right-side area of the back waistband that can cross the front of the abdomen to the right. The two textile pieces that cross the body are anchored from the opposite side areas of the waistband creating a compression and opposite horizontal pull across the back and can be adjusted to attach across the front of the body. The configuration of the waistband and adjustable textile pieces allows a wearer to self adjust the fit.

Abstract: Separable articles of clothing such as trousers to allow for field removal of the lower portion of the trousers are disclosed while maintaining control of a duty belt attached to an upper portion. Two or more separate portions of trousers may be removably attached by an attachment mechanism, such as a zipper. The zipper can be unzipped to allow for restroom use without completely removing the trousers. This may be especially useful for first responders, or other professions requiring complex trousers and a need to maintain control of their duty belt and its contents at all times.

The clinical garment includes an inner surface for facing the patient and having an inner surface area. The clinical garment has a hemline and forms a longitudinal axis. The first pneumatic convective device can have an air-permeable layer having a pneumatic surface area, the pneumatic surface area is at least 25% of the inner surface area in a deployed state. The warming device can include a first inlet for admitting a stream of pressurized, warmed air into the first pneumatic convective device. The second end of the first pneumatic convective device extends past the hemline when in the deployed state, and, when the first pneumatic convective device is in a folded state, the second end extends no greater than 3 inches past the hemline.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cooling garment for cooling a torso of a wearer, comprising a front and a rear panel with a neck opening therebetween, wherein the front panel and the rear panel together comprise one single cooling section composed of two outer layers with a water absorbent layer sandwiched therebetween. The two outer layers are sealed together along their edges to form a single compartment for the storage of water, wherein the portions of the compartment that are at the front and the rear panel are in fluid communication with one another over the shoulders. Both outer layers are impermeable to water but permeable to water vapor. The cooling garment may be activated by filling the compartment with water via an inlet in one of the outer layers.

Abstract: The invention relates to a neck guard having an impact guarding insert. The neck guard has a body with a top with two tabs, a bottom, two ends, a front side, and a back side. A cavity is formed within the neck guard for containing the insert. The insert can be a removable insert that is selectably inserted and removed through an opening in the front side of the neck guard. The insert can also be permanently secured within the cavity. The insert can have a plurality of honeycomb shaped holes through it, and it is preferably made of a flexible and compressible material. The insert has tabs that can be aligned with and mate with tabs of the neck guard body. The body also has a bib at the bottom of the neck guard. The insert is also positioned through interfacing with the top of the bib.

The garment may be a typical article of clothing; however, heat trapping agents are applied to the garment, particularly on the inside of the garment so as to make contact with the skin causing increased perspiration of the user at the location where the heating trapping agent contacts the skin. The heat trapping agent can be applied to the garment at desired locations and with a desired pattern to increase the efficiency of perspiration, and therefore, water weight-loss. Advanced materials and systems innovations (1) enable novel garment manufacturing and application strategies, (2) facilitate topographical fitting (spatial actuation) through garment architectural design, and (3) provide tunable NiTi-based SMA actuation temperatures to enable actuation on the surface of human skin. Such fabrics and garments are usable in a variety of fields including medical compression, technical sportswear, exosuits, space suits and components thereof, or non-garment applications.

In operation, the first directional fibers can engage with the second directional fibers to resist movement in a second direction opposite the first direction.

Abstract: A deployable frame for a weather and/or sun protection device, including: a mast with a longitudinal axis on which a slider is mounted so as to slide between a first position in which the frame is closed and a second position in which the frame is open; at least one rib connected by a stretcher to the runner, the rib including an end connected to a notch carried by one end of the mast, wherein the rib includes a first segment formed of a first part and a second part that are movable relative to each other about the extension axis of the first segment, the first part of the first segment of the rib is connected to the notch by a pivot connection about an axis which is perpendicular to a plane inclined obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the mast so that in the first closed position of the frame the first segment of the rib extends along the mast and in the second open position of the frame the first segment of the rib is moved away from the mast.
