Abstract: An article of footwear includes a heel counter support situated on the upper and above the sole structure. The heel counter support may have at least two hollow receptacles with backward angles, a compressible component having two ends, and each one of the two hollow receptacles receives one end of the compressible component. The compressible component may have a first configuration and may be capable of distorting into a second configuration under a load of a user's foot when the user is donning the footwear. The compressible component may be capable of automatically returning to the first configuration after the user's foot in fully inserted into the footwear.

Abstract: A customizable shoe and accessory kit are provided. The accessory kit comprises at least one shoe, each shoe comprising an upper having an outside layer defining an outer surface and a lining, a sole attached to the upper, and at least one means for removably securing at least one accessory to the outer surface. The at least one means for removably securing at least one accessory to the outer surface is disposed beneath the upper and, in some embodiments, between the outside layer and the lining of the shoe, such that the means for removably securing at least one accessory to the outer surface is concealed within the structure of the shoe.

Abstract: An article of footwear includes a heel cup that is attached to the upper and extends from the sole structure to at least a portion of the rear heel collar of the upper. The heel cup may be uniformly molded with an upper portion, midportion, and lower portion and the upper portion has a smaller mediolateral length than the midportion, and the midportion and lower portion form a concave structure that receives the heel. The upper portion has a first configuration and is capable of distorting into a second configuration under a load of a user's foot when the user is donning the footwear. In the second configuration, at least part of the upper portion is lowered and is capable of returning to the first configuration after the load of the user's foot is removed. The midportion includes a peripheral portion that may be thicker than a central portion.

The ankle collar may form the topmost region of the foot receiving shoe opening and the foamed ankle collar may extend at least partially around and over a foot receiving shoe opening. The ankle collar is capable of being compressed by the user's heel during foot insertion and the ankle collar may exert pressure on the user's ankle once the foot is inserted. The ankle collar may have a flattened region along its length forming a downward angle from the topmost region toward the front of the article of footwear. The ankle collar may be located along at least a portion of an inner surface of a heel cup and the heel cup may have a shoe-horn like configuration. The ankle collar may reduce the dimensions of the shoe opening when not compressed.

Abstract: A stud for an outsole includes: an outer tubular portion located on an outsole body and having a tubular shape; and a core portion located inside the outer tubular portion. The outer tubular portion is integral with the outsole body with no seam between the outer tubular portion and the outsole body. An inner wall surface of the outer tubular portion surrounds, and is in contact with, a side surface of the core portion. This configuration reduces separation of the stud from the outsole and firmly holds the stud on the outsole.

Each subsection of hair is grabbed and pulled (in a direction of a cut line of the hair) with one hand of a hairdresser, and different (e.g., short, medium-length, and long) layers of hair are blown out of the subsection of hair by an air flow from the blow dryer held in another hand of the hairdresser. After that, at least one of the blown-out layers of hair is fixed (e.g., with a clamp) and colored. The hair thus colored is then rinsed and treated according to a post-coloring recipe.

Abstract: A dual use device adapted to define a furniture component when in a stored state and provide access to a cover for covering a furniture item when in a covering state. The device includes an enclosure with a plurality of enclosure panels, the enclosure panels being connected as to define a shape of the furniture component. The connection between at least some of the enclosure panels is through detachable attachments which permit access to an internal space within the enclosure. A cover for covering a furniture item is foldably received within the internal space when the dual use device is in its stored state and the dual use device serves as a furniture component. The cover adapted to be extracted from the internal space and unfolded to cover the furniture item when the dual use device is in its covering state.
