  • Patent number: 11959698
Abstract: An apparatus, system, device, and the like, for a liquid nitrogen dispensing head that may be used in a system for cooling aggregate, such as may be found in a batch plant involved in producing concrete. The dispensing head is positioned over a conveyor belt that conveys aggregate to a mixing apparatus to produce concrete. The head dispenses liquid nitrogen onto the aggregate to cool the aggregate and may include interior chambers separated by one or more baffles. The chambers may reduce the pressure of the liquid nitrogen onto the aggregate in relation to the flow pressure of the liquid nitrogen entering the dispensing head. In another example, an assembly may include sidewalls that extend to the aggregate on either side of the head to form a cooling tunnel through which the aggregate is conveyed and is exposed to the liquid nitrogen being dispensed from the head.

  • Patent number: 11959712
Abstract: A firing mechanism for a striker-fired, magazine-fed semi-automatic pistol includes a linear cam that is attached to and moves with a slide. The linear cam moves a cam follower that pivots a reset bar. • Patent number: 11959719
Abstract: Pneumatic simulator for an open bolt firearm including an actuator group having a stationary piston and a moving bolt. With each simulated firing cycle producing a firing event, the spring actuates moving bolt toward stationary piston such that the activator unseats a valve located in the stationary piston. Unseating the valve allows regulated compressed gas to exit a high pressure reservoir located in the firearm magazine well which drives the moving bolt back against the spring to complete a firing cycle. Subsequent firing cycles will continue automatically as long as the shooter keeps the trigger depressed. A tension rod, and laser also may comprise the simulator assembly. A nut may be used to secure the tension rod and laser. A laser cable may be used to electrically connect laser to a firing event signal generator. • Patent number: 11959731
Abstract: A handheld personal security device comprising a computer processor, at least one trigger switch, noise generator, wireless transceiver, a directional defensive mechanism, and an electronic camera having a field of view. The defensive mechanism projects at least one defensive agent along the field of view. This agent can be a chemical spray or high-voltage low-current electrical charge. The device is configured so that activation of the trigger switch automatically activates the at least one defensive mechanism and the electronic camera. The device processor is also configured, when triggered, to use this camera to obtain at least one image of the field of view, and use its wireless transceiver to wirelessly transmit this image to an external computerized device or 911 emergency call system. Further, when triggered, the security device is also configured to activate its noise generator, which can produce at least one sound with an intensity exceeding 100 decibels.

Abstract: A target turner and associated components and methods. The target turner is configured to hold a target to be shot by a shooter. The target turner is configured to hold the target in a shooting orientation for being shot by the shooter and in a non-shooting orientation for hiding a face of the target from the user. A turning assembly of the target turner includes a crank wheel and two turning wheels. The crank wheel drives the first turning wheel for turning the target toward the non-shooting orientation and drives the second turning wheel for turning the target toward the shooting orientation. A target support of the target turner is configured to disconnect from the turning assembly to avoid damage to the turning assembly if outside force is applied to the target support.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to mobile correctional facility robots and systems and methods for coordinating mobile correctional facility robots to perform various tasks in a correctional facility. The mobile correctional facility robots can be used to perform many of the tasks traditionally assigned to correctional facility guards to help reduce the number of guards needed in any given correctional facility. When cooperation is employed among multiple mobile correctional facility robots to execute tasks, a central controller can be used to coordinate the efforts of the multiple robots to improve the performance of the overall system of robots as compared to the performance of the robots when working in uncoordinated effort to execute the tasks.

  • Patent number: 11959738
Abstract: An apparatus and method for inspecting an object by optical triangulation, where the signal of interest in a captured image corresponds to an interaction between a light beam and an environment surrounding the object rather than between a light beam and the object itself. The surrounding environment may be configured to interact in a manner that is detectable by filling it with a flowable scattering medium, e.g. a gas, mist or vapour comprising a suspension of fine particles in air. Light that is scattered by the flowable scattering medium is visible in a captured image. Where the flowable scattering medium is not present, e.g. because the object blocks it, the scattered signal is less. A boundary of a scattered signal region may thus provide information about the location of an object.

  • Patent number: 11959739
Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer readable medium are provided for determining a wall loss measurement associated with corrosion and/or erosion present within an insulated pipe. A inspection image is acquired for a pipe wall of an insulated pipe at a first location and used to determine an inspection thickness of the pipe wall at the first location. An amount of wall loss measurement can be determined based on a difference of a nominal thickness for the pipe wall at the first location and the determined inspection thickness. The wall loss measurement can characterize an amount of wall material lost due to corrosion and/or erosion present in the pipe wall at the first location. The wall loss measurement can be output for further processing and/or display.

  • Patent number: 11959741
Abstract: This is a measuring tool for use in the installation of metal roofing when such metal roofing must be cut in order to fit along valleys in the roof structure. Valleys are places where the roof surface changes direction, such as where the roof of a gable joins the main body of the roof. The tool measures the point at which the metal roofing panel is to be cut by sliding the base of the tool down the last rib of the last installed panel until the tip of the pointer arm touches the chalk like along which the next panel must fit. The distance from the top of said last panel to the bottom of the base of the tool corresponds to the distance from the top of the new panel to the point at which its leading edge should be cut to fit along the chalk line.
