Abstract: BLR-200 prevented and treated fibrosis in bleomycin-induced SSc fibrosis, as indicated by impairment of skin thickening, collagen deposition, and myofibroblast activation. BLR-200 treatment prevented bleomycin-induced CCN1 and CCN2 expression. Through single-cell RNA-sequencing analysis, and spatial gene analysis of tissue, specific populations of myofibroblasts could be identified that were responsible for driving the disease initiation and progression not previously identified. BLR-200 impaired the ability of collagen-expressing fibroblasts to respond to bleomycin-induced inflammatory-driven fibrosis, including the creation and expansion of critical sub populations. BLR-200 prevented overexpression of pro-inflammatory genes including Il6, Cxcl2, and NLRP3 inflammasome markers and activation of epithelial cell markers and the Wnt pathway in these populations. CCN proteins play an important role in dermal fibrosis, and other forms of fibrosis including cancer.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating neurodegenerative diseases comprising a COX2 acetylating agent as an active ingredient and, more particularly, to a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating neurodegenerative diseases comprising, as an active ingredient, a COX2 acetylating agent which exhibits an effect of inhibiting the deposition of amyloid-? in brain neurons, reducing excessive neuroinflammatory responses, and increasing the phagocytosis of amyloid-? in microglial cells. The pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating neurodegenerative diseases comprising the COX2 acetylating agent as an active ingredient has the effects of alleviating neuroinflammation by promoting COX2 acetylation in neurons and secreting specialized pro-resolving mediators (SPMs) and thus, can be very useful in the development of a preventive or therapeutic agent for neurodegenerative diseases.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed toward systems and methods for measuring electric current in a multi-wire cable, as well as the apparent and real power associated with an electrical load connected to the cable. A probe comprising an array of small form-factor, high-speed magnetometers is operatively coupled with the cable such that the magnetometers partially surround the cable. Each magnetometer detects the composite magnetic field at its location, and this plurality of measurements is used to generate a magnetic-field map. The contributions of the current flow in each wire are identified by deconvolving the magnetic-field map, enabling their locations to be determined and monitoring of the current and power flow. A sensor included in the probe is used to determine the phase of the applied voltage. The phase difference between the voltage and current is then used to determine the real power dissipation of the load.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for monitoring the effects of conductive dust deposits that compromise the ability of a trip unit to accurately detect AC current in a circuit interrupter. When a Rogowski coil is used as a current sensor in the circuit interrupter and the trip unit processes the output of the Rogowski coil using a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA) processing circuit, the DC component of the processing circuit output signal can be analyzed to determine whether any conductive dust has formed unintended electrical pathways on the PCBA and compromised the ability of the PCBA to accurately measure AC current in the circuit interrupter. It can be determined that such unintended electrical pathways have formed when the DC component of the processing circuit output either exceeds a predetermined threshold or has increased by a significant amount after opening of the separable contacts.

Abstract: Faults in the secondary-loop of a trans-inductor voltage regulator (TLVR) are detected. Each power stage of the TLVR is connected to a primary winding of a respective transformer in the TLVR. The secondary windings of the transformers and a compensation inductor form a secondary-loop. A phase controller in the TLVR operates to both drive a first power stage to an ON state and to place a second power stage in an OFF state in a first duration. In the first duration, if the first power stage draws a current less than a maximum threshold and if a voltage at the switching node of the second power stage is negative, the phase controller determines that no faults exist in the series secondary circuit. Otherwise, the phase controller determines that one or more faults exist in the series secondary circuit.

Abstract: A method for detecting a topological structure of a grounding grid under extremely cold condition, includes the following steps: in a substation in an extremely cold area, determining a measuring area S on a ground surface of a grounding grid according to the positions of branches and nodes of the grounding grid in a selected area, acquiring dynamic current values of the branches and nodes through a current sensor based on TMR tunnel magnetoresistance, and then indirectly acquiring the magnetic induction intensity of the measuring area S through conversion; calculating moduli of first to third derivatives of magnetic induction intensities; and determining specific positions and laying depths of the branches of the grounding grid according to peak distances between main lobe peaks and side peaks between strong peaks of the moduli. According to the method, the calculation amount is greatly reduced, and the detection method has strong anti-interference.

Abstract: When implementing a PMU network, creation of synchrophasors is achieved by centralising the determining of phasors and corresponding time-stamps at a location away from the actual measurement locations. Alternatively, or in addition to time-stamping phasors, time-stamping of any received signals and/or measurements derived from those signals is enabled. These signals are received from appropriate sensors distributed along optical fibres such as may be incorporated in modern power cables. Likewise, control signals can be communicated along optical fibres such as may be incorporated in modern power cables, and a number of approaches to ensuring control signals are received by the intended control modules are provided. Either or both the PMU network and control system can be implemented in a power network by exploiting existing optical fibre infrastructure in this way, and control signals can be transmitted dependent on analysis performed on synchrophasors.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a power supply comprises: a conversion circuit that outputs an output voltage at a first end of a cable; a remote voltage sensor measures a load delivered voltage from a second end of the cable; a control logic, wherein the power conversion circuit regulates the output voltage based on a signal from the control logic; a current sensor that measures current flow through the cable; and a resistance measurement circuit that computes a resistance of the cable as a function of the load delivered voltage, the current flow and the output voltage. The control logic regulates the load delivered voltage based on a voltage drop calculated utilizing the resistance. The control logic detects a change in the resistance of the cable based on the load delivered voltage and dynamically updates a value of the resistance for calculating the voltage drop when the change exceeds a tolerance.

Abstract: An integrated circuit includes a power amplifier and a power detector. The power detector has a VDET node and a VREF node. A first filter coupled to the VDET node outputs a signal VDET onto a VDET terminal. A second filter coupled the VREF node outputs a signal VREF onto a VREF terminal. The signals VDET and VREF are generated so that the voltage difference between the two signals varies in proportion to the RF output power magnitude with an accuracy of ±0.1 decibels over a ?45° C. to +85° C. temperature range. An amount of the RF signal as output by the power amplifier is coupled onto the VDET node and is detected by a half-wave rectifying RF detector diode. The diode has a capacitance that increases with temperature, so a temperature compensation circuit that has an admittance that decreases with temperature is coupled in parallel with the detector diode.
