Publication number: 20240157160Abstract: A wearable article is provided as a wearable component of a medical device configured with elements to accommodate electrode pads in a manner that offers flexibility, cushion, and temperature regulation for comfort of a patient, as well as facilitating distribution of pressure on the electrode pads against the body of the patient. A containment portion of the wearable article houses the electrode pad and a spacer structure. The spacer structure is flexible to move as the body of the patient moves and yet provides a level of stiffness for pressure on the underlying electrode. Numerous springy elements dispersed in the spacer structure provide a thickness and open space for air circulation through the spacer structure, resulting in temperature regulation of the wearable article.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 19, 2023Publication date: May 16, 2024Inventors: Dallas E. Publication number: 20240157166Abstract: Metal-associated infections such as prosthetic joint infection (PJI) cause significant morbidity across the world. Infected implants frequently require surgical removal and weeks of antibiotics. This is in large part due to the formation of biofilm. Embodiments described herein utilize alternating magnetic fields (AMF) as a non-invasive approach for eradicating (i.e., significantly reducing) biofilm off of metal. Embodiments apply brief intermittent bursts of AMF given in concert with traditional antibiotics to synergistically remove biofilm off of metal. This effect is seen across common PJI-associated pathogens and with clinically used antibiotics. Utilizing AMF in an intermittent fashion has important implications for providing a non-invasive treatment that could be both safe and effective in patients.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 31, 2022Publication date: May 16, 2024Inventors: David Greenberg, Rajiv Chopra

Publication number: 20240157202Abstract: Method and smart ball for generating an audio feedback for a user interacting with the smart ball. The smart ball comprises sensors generating sensor data representative of an interaction session of the user with the smart ball. The smart ball processes the sensor data to generate ball data, which are wirelessly transmitted to a computing device. The computing device processes the ball data to generate ball indicators (e.g. number and timing of touches with the ball; respective speed, spin and height of the ball for each touch), and further processes the ball indicators to generate performance indicators (e.g. a score or performance statistic). The computing device determines an audio feedback for the user based on at least one of the indicators, the audio feedback providing a feedback to the user on the execution of the interaction session by the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 10, 2023Publication date: May 16, 2024Applicant: IOTIS GmbhInventors: Peter Blank, Christian Sist, Lennardt Hachmeister, Marcel Isakowitz
