Abstract: A retractable protection device for protecting a user's head against environmental elements, the device includes at least one hoop, at least two articulations of at least one hoop with a base, each articulation being attached to one end of at least one hoop, at least one articulation comprising a means for locking said hoop in a predefined position referred to as the “deployed position”. The device further includes at least partially closed base, configured to surround the user's nape at least partially, and a sheet of fabric attached to each hoop and the base to create a protection screen around the user's head in the deployed position, the fabric and hoops being circumscribed by the base in a position referred to as the “folded position” that minimizes the size of the device, between the user's nape and shoulders, freeing up the user's back.

Abstract: Various implementations and configurations of a user configurable modular storage apparatus are disclosed. In an example implementation, a storage apparatus comprises: a side wall and a back wall which form an interior portion of a cabinet and an opening through which the interior portion is accessible; and a pair of slotted walls comprising pairs of slots configured to receive a storage module comprising a left mounting rod and a right mounting rod, wherein the storage module is insertable into the interior portion through the opening thereby enabling a user mounting and unmounting of the storage module to a pair of slots of the pair of slotted walls.

Abstract: A band wallet includes a retention band, the retention band includes a flat band body, a first band end, and a second band end. The flat band body further comprises a first lengthwise face and a second lengthwise face. The first band end is mounted to the second band end, forming the flat band body into a closed loop with a lengthwise 360-degree twist. Accordingly, the first lengthwise face and the second lengthwise face form continuous surfaces across the conjunction of the first band end and the second band end, enabling the flat band body to lay flat across centrally retained items such as one or more credit cards. More specifically, the lengthwise 360-degree twist is defined along the flat band body prevents the bunching of the constituent material of the band as said flat band body traverses about the edges of such an article.

Abstract: Various carrying mechanisms to transport a storage device, container or unit are shown. The carrying mechanisms actuate between various positions that may interfere with opening a lid of the storage unit. Various configurations of the carrying mechanisms reduce their profile when in use. Also described are multi-segmented carrying mechanisms that provides a beneficial weight distribution while facilitating actuating the carrying mechanism between different positions.

The upper clamp head includes an upper hair contact surface. The upper hair contact surface is twisted relative to the upper grip. The lower arm includes a lower grip and a lower clamp head. The lower clamp head includes a lower hair contact surface. The lower hair contact surface is twisted relative to the lower grip. The hinge attaches the upper and lower arms together such that the upper and lower arms are openable and closeable relative to one another. Abstract: A nail cutter is provided that includes a first member and a second member. A first end portion of the first member includes a blade. A first end portion of the second member does not include a blade. The first and second members are coupled such that the first member is movable relative to the second member between first and second positions and, when the first member moves from the first position to the second position, the blade moves toward the first end portion of the second member. A third member is coupled to the first member and is movable between third and fourth positions. Moving the third member from the third position to the fourth position moves the first member, relative to the second member, from the first position to the second position. Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of nail grooming and generally describes a novel nail-grooming device whose purpose is to allow a user to groom his or her own fingernails in both hands in an accurate, symmetrical and uniform manner, with minimal effort and without being required to acquire any skills that might be required by other devices. The device comprises a finger placement wherein a user places his or her finger, and a nail grooming machine with a nail grooming head suitable for nail grooming tasks such as filing, wherein the nail grooming head is capable of performing a cyclic movement against a nail of the finger placed on the finger placement for filing or other nail-grooming task, and wherein the nail filing machine also comprises a mechanism capable of triggering a sideways movement of the nail grooming head on a curved horizontal axis around the nail to allow circumferential grooming of the fingernail while the finger is statically placed on the finger placement.

The applicator portion defines a top surface and at least one extension, the extension being configured to allow the substantially unobstructed flow of molten personal hygiene or topically applied substance radially outwardly toward the outer portion of the topically applied substance support surface. The extension defines at least a portion of the topically applied substance support surface. A protective member, defines a closed compartment protecting and housing the personal hygiene or topically applied substance.

Abstract: Disclosed is a configurable bag having a main bag compartment defined by a foldable bag body configurable between at least a first configuration and a second configuration via a folding of the bag body, the main bag compartment being accessible via a closable opening disposed in the foldable bag body when in the first configuration. The configurable bag further includes a first securing means and a second securing means affixed to the bag body, wherein the first and second securing means are disposed out of position for connection when the bag body is in the first configuration. The first and second securing means are positioned for connection via folding the bag body into the second configuration. The first and second securing means are configured to secure the bag body in the second configuration when the first securing means is secured to the second securing means.

Abstract: A portable activity tray for children is provided. The activity tray includes a first compartment and a second compartment. The first compartment provides a plurality of pockets for storing various items and also provides an activity surface for a child to play, draw and work on. An integrated cup holder is provided. The second compartment includes a removable foam pad making placement of the tray on a child's lap comfortable while simultaneously providing a hard layer for the activity surface that is suitable for writing and drawing. Backpack straps are provided for carrying the tray easily and comfortably while a chest strap serves to stabilize the tray while in use. Playful elements such as a face on outer and inner surface, ears and arm-like flaps with pockets are also provided.

In the compact state of the sofa, the seat back, the seat cushion and the arm panels are not attached to one another. Instead, the arm panels fit inside a compartment under the seat cushion. The flap is not attached to both the seat back and the seat cushion in the compact state of the sofa. In the compact state, the sofa is contained in a packing box whose width is only slightly greater than the depth of the seat cushion.

The seat base frames and the interchangeable seat backs may include corresponding quick-connect features that allow selective attachment therebetween. The interchangeable seat backs may be attached to a standard seat base frame via a magnetic connection. Each interchangeable seat back can have a different unique design allowing for a quick change of appearance by exchanging one interchangeable seat back design for another. The interchangeable seat backs and the standard seat base frames can be stored separately and take up less space than completely assembled or fixed back chairs.

Additionally, the digital display of the front edge of the receptacle may serve as a digital bar code which effectively locks and unlocks the hinged lid.
