Abstract: A wand assembly for a vacuum cleaner includes a first wand, a second wand telescopically arranged with the first wand, and a rotatable locking cuff including first and second locking ramps. The first wand includes a first plurality of grooves arranged in a first row and a second plurality of grooves arranged in a second row, with each row extending in a longitudinal direction. The second wand includes first and second locking teeth integrally formed with the second wand and engageable with the respective first and second pluralities of grooves. Rotation of the locking cuff relative to the wands causes the first locking ramp to deflect the first locking tooth into engagement with one of the first plurality of grooves, and causes the second locking ramp to deflect the second locking tooth into engagement with one of the second plurality of grooves to fix a length of the wand assembly.

Abstract: Medical software tools platforms utilize a surgical display to provide access to specific medical software tools, such as medically-oriented applications or widgets, that can assist surgeons or surgical team in performing various procedures. In particular, an endoscopic camera may register the momentary rise in the optical signature reflected from a tissue surface and in turn transmit it to a medical image processing system which can also receive patient heart rate data and display relevant anomalies. Changes in various spectral components and the speed at which they change in relation to a source of stimulus (heartbeat, breathing, light source modulation, etc.) may indicate the arrival of blood, contrast agents or oxygen absorption. Combinations of these may indicate various states of differing disease or margins of tumors, and so forth. Also, changes in temperatures, physical dimensions, pressures, photoacoustic pressures and the rate of change may indicate tissue anomalies in comparison to historic values.

Abstract: The present invention describes systems and method for the detection, diagnosis and monitoring of cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease. In one example, an integrated system comprising a full-field Fourier domain optical coherence tomography and an image mapping spectrometry is used for generating spectrally resolved volumetric images at wavelengths that show difference in spectral signatures of normal cells compared to spectral signatures of amyloid beta and pTau deposits, and also image inner retinal layers where amyloid beta and pTau deposits may aggregate.

Abstract: The claimed invention relates to the field of medicine, namely to oscillometric means of measuring blood pressure. The automatic tonometer contains a pneumatic cuff with valves (not marked in the figure), pneumatically connected by a hose with a pressure sensor that converts the change in pressure in the pneumatic cuff 1 into an electrical signal, the output of which is connected to the input of the processor through an analogue-to-digital converter that processes the electrical signal, the output of which is connected to the display, which displays the signal in the form of mathematical symbols, graphs, diagrams, according to which blood pressure parameters are set. The proposed automatic tonometer provides an expansion of the functional possibilities of the tonometer application and will allow building an expert system for differential diagnosis of diseases not only of the cardiovascular, but also the nervous and pulmonary systems.

Abstract: A prediction device is configured to perform a prediction method to predict a risk of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy, CIPN, in a test subject. The prediction method comprises receiving (211) perception data comprising low-frequency vibration perception data, LF-VPD, and operating (214) at least one prediction model on the perception data to determine at least one risk variable, which is indicative of a risk that the test subject will develop peripheral neuropathy as a result of chemotherapy. The LF-VPD designates measured perception of vibrations at one or more predetermined locations on one or more limbs of the test subject, and represents, for vibrations at each of one or more predefined frequencies below 64 Hz, a vibration energy that causes the test subject to switch between perception and non-perception of the vibrations.
