Abstract: A positioning device, a radiotherapy device, and a positioning method enable accurate patient positioning while reducing calculation time. A plurality of X-ray fluoroscopic images are obtained by imaging a subject. For each imaging axis of the X-ray fluoroscopic image, a simulated fluoroscopic image obtained by projecting a three-dimensional fluoroscopic image of the subject onto the detection surface with respect to the imaging axis is created. For each of the plurality of imaging axes, the image collation part obtains a correction axis obtained by correcting the imaging axis based on a two-dimensional motion amount, which is a deviation amount between the X-ray fluoroscopic image and the simulated-X-ray fluoroscopic image corresponding to the imaging axis, and calculates, as a treatment-couch motion amount by which the treatment-couch is to be moved, a motion amount from an intersection of the imaging axes to a midpoint of a common perpendicular of the correction axes.

Abstract: A novel, portable two-axis perturbation device includes two separated X-Y plane motion platforms controlled by respective motor pairs that may be independently controlled with respect to frequency, amplitude, and variation of movement patterns to create “bottom-up” unpredictable movement patterns more closely resembling real world environmental interactions. By reproducing the amplitude, frequency, direction and variability of external stimuli that may disrupt human balance, the device provides a novel way to train, rehabilitate, reproduce, manipulate and ultimately improve reactive balance reflexes, proprioception and kinesthetic awareness in a way that “top down” perturbation cannot.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are devices, systems and methods for redistributing the normal weight distribution of a user in a standing position. One example is a postural platform for either the left or right foot having a bottom surface defining a reference plane, a top surface configured as a foot contact surface and a perimeter side wall between the bottom and top surfaces. The top surface is rotated about a first rotational axis parallel to the reference plane and rotated about a second rotational axis orthogonal to the reference plane. In another example, a system includes first and second postural platforms that are independent of one another. In other example, the device is a sandal, shoe, sneaker or any foot covering with a tops surface being at a complex angle to a bottom surface.

Abstract: The present invention may include a base frame assembly, which may include a base frame and a wall support. The wall support may include a wall support base coupled to the base frame and a grip shaft movably coupled to, and biased away from, the wall support base. A wall grip may be coupled to a distal end of the grip shaft. A swing arm may include a handle bar on a first end and a pivot sleeve on a second end. The pivot sleeve may be pivotally coupled to the base frame assembly. Thereby, a user may releasably secure the base frame assembly to a door frame by way of the wall grip, grasp the handle bar of the swing arm and perform a supported squat movement.

Abstract: The present invention is a connected portable exercise apparatus that allows for weight resistance or weight-bearing exercise. A portable exercise ball-and-stick apparatus, which includes a base having a partial and concave spherical region for accepting therein a ball and with a rod-portion extending from the ball, which may be either linearly- or non-linearly shaped, and preferably with a handle at the end of the rod distal from the ball for gripping the rod with the handle preferably being rotatable relative to the rod. The handle has a sensor in it that allows for the determination of the motion of the rod. The motion of the rod is compared to desired movements in a given exercise, and feedback is given to the user when they go outside of the desired movements for an exercise.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided to aid a rock climber in remembering to attach to an auto-belay system prior to climbing. In one embodiment, a climbing notification system includes a climber component coupled to a harness. The climber component includes a first portion with a single sensor and an alarm; a second, detachable portion semi-permanently attached to a first, bottom surface of the first portion where the second, detachable portion is magnetically couplable to the first portion. The first portion may include a processor and a power source; wherein, in a first condition where the second, detachable portion is magnetically coupled to first portion, the alarm is disabled; and in a second condition, where the second, detachable portion is detached from the first portion, the alarm is generated in response to the single sensor detecting a threshold proximity to an antenna positioned at a predetermined height.

Abstract: A leg harness and locking mechanism device, which can be attached to a leg of a user, such as a climber of a wooden structure, and locked at one or both of the user's knees to relieve pressure on the knee or knees during work, may include at least one harness assembly. The harness assembly may be deployed on a leg of a user. The harness assembly may include a hinge which facilitates pivoting or folding of the assembly at the corresponding knee of the user. The harness assembly may have a hinge locking mechanism which is selectively operable to lock the hinge and prevent the harness assembly from pivoting or folding at the knee of the user, thereby relieving pressure on the user's knee or knees. The hinge locking mechanism may further be operable to unlock the hinge and facilitate folding of the harness assembly at the knee.
