Paired Legs Patents (Class 108/36)
  • Patent number: 5067417
Abstract: A foldable table is provided including a pair mirror image half table sections. The half table sections include adjacent margins pivotally joined together for upward swinging of the remote margins of the table sections toward positions with the table half sections in relatively folded closely juxtaposition. The remote margins include outwardly projecting handles as well as downwardly swingable and upwardly retractable leg structures each being adjustable in length and the leg structures include panels extending transversely of the table and upon whose outer surfaces openable and closable pouches are supported. In addition, the table half sections are constructed for manufacture by conventional molding processes.

  • Patent number: 5009170
Abstract: A padded table for body massage or chiropractic work having a flat working surface supported upon folding legs. Table construction includes two flat top sections joined by a piano hinge so that they may be folded into parallel adjacent positions to form a case like structure which is easily carried, or they may be unfolded to form a single planar table top. When unfolded, support legs hold the table top parallel to a support surface. A unique brace and cable configuration is employed which provides table rigidity, strength and easy, fast unfolding.

  • Patent number: 4943041
Abstract: The invention is a light-weight folding massage table consisting of a pair of flat hingedly connected rectangular sections, preferably having a padded wooden surface with a peripheral wooden underframe. Two telescoping pairs of legs are rotatably attached to the sides of the frame by a leg-table frame joint at a short distance from the outer ends of the undersurface of each section. Each pair of legs is connected by a horizontal tube, or leg brace, as well as diagonal cables extending from the table and leg joint to the lower end of the opposite leg. A table-leg brace cable is connected from the lower end of each leg lengthwise to the side of the opposite section a short distance from the inner end of that section. An end cable is connected to the lower end of each leg and is detachable connected to the outward end of each section.

  • Patent number: 4927128
Abstract: A sliding leg bodywork table consisting of a top rectangular surface divided into two abutting sections hingedly attached to each other and foldable to a parallel position. Two pairs of adjustable height legs are slidably attached at opposite ends of the table surface, the legs foldable into the table surface's housing. A channel system provides support and positioning function for the table legs and rotatable diagonal braces extend from a cross tube for connecting each leg pair to the table surface. Handles are provided for ease of transport. A system of wire ropes for supporting the central hinged end of table top sections in conjunction with said diagonal braces and for positive locking of the paired legs in operational position is included.

  • Patent number: 4841877
Abstract: A folding table construction embodying a planar top, foldable legs and a novel apron assembly connected to the underside of the top. The apron unit comprises elongated discrete, relatively short straight lengths of formed metal side and end strips, or stringers, which are securely interconnected together by spaced apart, one-piece, blow molded corner moldings adapted to be affixed to the underside of the table top. Due to the novel design of the corner moldings and the stringers, the construction of the supporting apron requires no metal bending or welding. Further, the corner moldings can be colored during the molding step and the stringers can be painted to match in small painting units prior to apron assembly. In an alternate form of the invention, the planar top is constructed in two pieces and the side stringers are constructed in two pieces which are hingably interconnected so that the table top can be folded for ease of transport and storage.

  • Patent number: 4833998
Abstract: A collapsible table, especially suited for supporting persons to be massaged, comprises, in a main embodiment, a pair of hingedly-connected top sections (12) and two pairs of legs (16) hingedly connected to the respective outer ends of the top sections. A foldable leg brace (18) is connected between the side of the table's top at its center and a lower part of each leg. A brace crosspiece (32) interconnects each pair of braces. A pair of short cable support legs (26) extend down from the center of the table. Each of a pair of cables (28) extends in a V-shaped arrangement from near the leg hinges at one end of the table down through holes in the brace crosspieces to the bottom ends of the cable support legs and then up through the other brace cross piece to the leg hinges at the opposite end of the table.

  • Patent number: 4643103
Abstract: A collapsible table, particularly a book-simulating collapsible table, comprises a central support component having hinged to its opposite sides a pair of leaves which in their extended position form a table top and in their collapsed condition form a container, for example a container of small compass resembling a book in its external appearance. A plurality of legs is pivotally connected to the support member. In the collapsed condition of the leaves, the legs are contained in collapsed condition within the container. In the extended, or table top, condition of the leaves, the legs are extended to perform their usual support function.

  • Patent number: 4333638
Abstract: A massage and therapeutic body work table consisting of a top rectangular surface divided into two abutting demi-sections with peripheral border flanges, the demi-sections hingedly attached to each other at abutting borders and foldable to a parallel position. Handles are provided for ease in transport. Two pairs of adjustable height legs are hingedly attached at opposite ends of the table surface, the legs foldable into table surface's housing. A truss system provides support with flexible chord members extending between the paired legs parallel to the table surface, and diagonal members extending from each leg to the table surface. The table is provided with a face rest extension inserted into the end of the table surface.

  • Patent number: 4187785
Abstract: A collapsable table having first and second table bodies hinged together along an upper edge thereof. Leg members are pivotably connected to opposite side walls of the first body so that the legs may support both bodies, one closed upon the other, when the table is open, and may also be folded through slots in the sidewalls into the first table body when the table is not in use. When the table is open, the legs are secured by fasteners which extend through the respective legs into the sidewalls of the second table body. Fasteners on the sidewalls hold the table bodies in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 4064812
Abstract: A foldable picnic table is provided having two, similar, table top portions hinged together for folding into a position in which their undersides face each other and are parallel and spaced apart. The table has legs which fold into the space between the folded top portions. The undersides of the top portions are provided with retaining means such as clips which hold various items in place, particularly a metal grill used for cooking. Other items may be stored between the undersurfaces of the table top portions, when folded. The retaining means for the grill may be partly carried by a member foldable with the legs, so that this folds onto the grill and holds this firmly in place when the table is folded.
