  • Patent number: 4754960
Abstract: For a copier with a dual mode document handling system for handling both computer forms web (CF) and individual document sheets, there is provided a plural mode integral unit system easily mountable to an end of the copier for handling the input and/or output of both types of documents and providing improved work space. The system includes a first document stacking tray providing both an operator work space and a tray for individual sheets fed to or from the copier document feeder, and also defining a CF guide aperture therein for CF document feeding to or from the document feeder. The system also includes an integral second document stacking tray for properly supporting a fan-folded stack of CF in a operating position. This second tray is pivotally mounted to the first tray and compactly closable thereunder without interfering with the operation of the first tray to provide an attractive and compact closed unit.

  • Patent number: 4691804
Abstract: A portable tree seat and platform for standing is provided which is completely stable and avoids the drawbacks of the prior art tree seats which have a tendency to pivot or rock. The portable tree seat includes a substantially flat seat member, a screw threaded fastening member for threaded penetration of a post or tree, a V-shaped stabilizing member attached at its wide end to the seat member, and having a peg member connected to the lower end of the V-shaped member and having a penetrating point thereon for penetrating a post or tree to which the portable seat is adapted to be attached to. Thus, the seat member is totally adjustable in any direction to insure that the seat is always maintained in a horizontal plane relative to the ground and relative to its longitudinal and transverse axes, regardless of the tree angle or configuration.

  • Patent number: 4567835
Abstract: A portable table assembly supports a terminal on the main table portion thereof, and a keyboard on the auxiliary table portion thereof. The tilt of the main table, the vertical heights of the main and auxiliary tables, and the linear distance between the main and auxiliary tables are adjustable by a user sitting in a normal position adjacent the auxiliary table. Locking casters on the bottoms of the mobile base for the table assemblies may be locked or unlocked also from the user's sitting position, and the combined center of gravity of the main and auxiliary tables overlies a central leg of the base. A handle mounted to the rear of the main table also stops the terminal from sliding off the rear of the main table, and provides for proper positioning of the cords leading to the terminal.

  • Patent number: 4563047
Abstract: This cabinet has a plurality of vertically spaced, horizontally disposed, stationary shelves, which are closed at their rear ends and open at their forward ends. Slidably mounted between an adjacent pair of the stationary shelves is a movable, pull-out shelf, opposite sides of which are mounted on conventional roller brackets for movement between a retracted position in which the shelf is fully seated within the cabinet, and an extended position in which it projects horizontally from the front of the cabinet. The movable shelf is designed to simplify a cancelled check in-filing operation, and for that reason has a horizontally disposed, central recess for removably supporting thereon a check filing tray, and a pair of horizontally disposed, arm-supporting surfaces which are positioned adjacent opposite sides of the central recess.

  • Patent number: 4560215
Abstract: A computer desk may be utilized with computer keyboard terminal equipment or other devices requiring manual manipulation by a user. The desk permits the efficient support of such devices without sacrifice of the desk top working surface available to the user. The computer desk provides a support surface immediately below the work surface on the desk top. This support surface extends toward the desk-user a greater distance than does the desk top work surface. Thus, there is no interference between the desk top work surface and the user's access to equipment emplaced upon the support surface. An extension of the support surface to the side provides additional support areas for associated computer devices or the like without sacrifice of desk top work surface area. Storage areas beneath the desk top work surface and the support surface are provided to store materials and devices of use to a user of the computer desk.

  • Patent number: 4428487
Abstract: A sectional display rack comprising a novel construction of horizontal rectangular trays and support legs, each tray and leg formed of plastic, wherein both upper and lower sides on each tray bottom wall are formed with upstanding ribs defining a space between the rib and the side wall into which a wing portion of each support leg is fitted and in which wedge shaped cams are provided on side walls of the tray to lock in corresponding recess or groove portions in the wing portions of the supporting leg to lock the leg in position. A spaced apart pair of wedge shaped cams is provided in each wall and the cams in the upper wall portion above the floor of the tray are offset from those cams formed in the lower wall. The advantages of these upright rib projections on the bottom walls and the locking tabs in the side walls in the tray are to provide a stable rack and to permit a low cost molding operation for manufacturing the attachment means comprising ribs, cams and recesses above and below the tray floor.

  • Patent number: 4188891
Abstract: Disclosed is a support structure for holding house plants or the like in position to receive optimal sunlight at a window. The structure comprises a pair of elongate support members which rest on the window sill and extend upwardly and inwardly into the room. C-hooks attached to the base of the support members pass over the nosing of the window trim and prevent slippage; cables extend between eyes screwed into the window track and the top of the support members. The support members hold one or more shelves, each of which comprise a plurality of parallel rails extending horizontally between rail holding brackets. The brackets define holes dimensioned to interfit with the support members and to slide therealong. When a load is placed on the rails, vertical slippage of the shelves is prevented by a gripping action exerted by the rail holding brackets on the support members.

  • Patent number: 3966056
Abstract: The embodiment of the invention disclosed herein is directed to an article support device having a base to support a frame member extending therefrom. A first group of bracket assemblies are secured to the frame member in alignment to support shelves extending thereacross. A second group of similar bracket assemblies are secured to the frame member to provide rigid coupling between the frame member and the base. The bracket assemblies comprise two similar bracket elements L-shaped in their plan view and L-shaped in their cross-section. The two bracket elements are positioned relative to one another to form a U-shaped cross-section with the two bracket elements overlapping at a bight portion.
