Abstract: A pump system includes a pump that includes a first belt and a second belt that are spaced apart from each other to provide generally straight sides of a passage there between. There is an inlet at one end of the passage and an outlet at an opposite end of the passage, with a passage length that extends between the inlet and the outlet. The passage defines a gap distance in a width direction between the straight sides at the passage inlet. A hopper includes an interior space that terminates at a mouth at the passage inlet. At least one screw is located within the interior space of the hopper and includes a screw diameter in the width direction that is less than or equal to the gap distance.
Abstract: A furnace for solid fuels is especially for pellets. This furnace includes a combustion chamber, a holder pan for the combustion material positioned in the combustion chamber, and a combustion material transport device located between the holder pan and a fuel container for combustion material. The combustion chamber is surrounded by a convection space, which is closed off towards the outside by a convection mantle, with a blower arranged between the ambient air and the convection space, if necessary. A flue gas blower is arranged between the combustion chamber and a flue gas line. A flue gas channel is arranged in front of at least one rear wall of the combustion chamber on the side facing away from the combustion chamber. This channel extends over at least part of a width and a height of the combustion chamber.
Abstract: A grate characterized in that a fuel supporting and conveying surface is provided comprising at least one elongate channel having an open mouth and a bottom, the or each of said channels having a transverse cross-section which decreases in width in a direction extending away from the open mouth towards the bottom of the channel, air feed opening means to feed air to the interior of the channel at least in the region of the bottom thereof, and means mounting the channel to permit the channel to be vibrated to cause fuel to be conveyed along the channel and longitudinally of the grate.
