Abstract: Cases for portable grills are disclosed. An example case includes a base, a first flap extending from the base, a second flap extending from the base, a third flap extending from the base, and a fourth flap extending from the base. The base is centrally located relative to the first, second, third, and fourth flaps. The case is configured to be positioned in an open configuration in which the first flap extends radially away from the base in a first direction, the second flap extends radially away from the base in a second direction that differs from the first direction, the third flap extends radially away from the base in a third direction that differs from the first and second directions, and the fourth flap extends radially away from the base in a fourth direction that differs from the first, second, and third directions.

Abstract: A control system for use with an outdoor cooking apparatus may include a hub and an axle housing adapted to slidably couple with a hub. The control system may also include a motor mounted at or near the upper end of the axle housing and an axle mechanically coupled to the motor and extending through the axle housing to a free end emerging from the lower end of the axle housing. The control system may also include a support coupling attached to the free end of the axle, the support coupling being adapted to support a food support below the axle housing. The axle housing may be selectively arranged and secured relative to the sleeve to position the height of the support coupling relative to the lower end of the axle housing and the axle may rotate about its longitudinal axis when the motor is turned on.

Abstract: A modular recreational and/or survival canvases are disclosed. Each canvas may be used alone or in combination with other canvases to provide shelter. Each canvas includes a base substrate including a plurality of fastener, a plurality of sleeves, and an outer fringe. In a refinement, the canvas may be of a shape such as a hexagon with alternating fasteners along its perimeter such that it may cooperate with one or more other modular canvases to form larger shelters. In one or more embodiments, the canvases may be combined with a construction block and one or more stakes.

Abstract: Hot surface igniter assemblies used in cooktops are shown and described. The hot surface igniters include a silicon nitride ceramic body with an embedded, resistive, heat-generating circuit. The igniters are less than 0.04 inches thick, and when energized, they reach surface temperatures in excess of 2000° F. in under 4 seconds to ignite combustible gas such as propane, butane, or natural gas. Examples of cook top burner systems are also provided which allow the igniter to remain on after ignition at a power level that is lower than during ignition but high enough to ignite the cooking gas should a flame out occur. Examples are also provided of burners that ignite on a low flow setting (e.g., simmer) as opposed the high flow settings that are common in cook top industry.

Abstract: A utensil holding device is disclosed. The device includes one or more removeable and adjustable arms, a continuous rod having a plurality of sections including a first section configured for insertion into the ground, a second section configured to abut the ground and provide support, and a third section configured to receive the one or more removeable and adjustable arms. The sections are preferably integrally connected and formed of a continuous rod having a plurality of bends. Certain embodiments of the one or more removeable and adjustable arms are formed of a disc-shaped end and an elongated rod. The disc-shaped end is a partially folded disc in some embodiments.

Abstract: A multifunction assemblable barbecue grill, comprising a structural frame with supporting legs, a main cooking grate, a floor and side walls to accommodate a heat source, a hinged lid, a ventilated brazier, and a shaft associated with a member to regulate the main grate with respect to the heat source. At least one S-shaped primary cooking hook is provided. The floor comprises channels flowing into a drain that discharges water into a trough displaceably mounted on two guides. A column integrated to one side of said frame, and secondary elements selected from a griddle, a secondary cooking grate, a substantially rectangular frame with a longitudinal crossbar, a crossbar perpendicular to the column, and combinations thereof, are additionally associated with at least one secondary S-shaped cooking hook. The secondary elements comprise means for fastening to the column, where said elements are slidably mounted vertically in a suspended condition above said brazier.

Abstract: The fire pit cooking system is configured for use with a fire and a foodstuff. The fire pit cooking system suspends the foodstuff above the fire. The fire pit cooking system is adjustable such that the position of the foodstuff relative to the fire is adjustable. The fire pit cooking system comprises a pedestal, a telescopic stanchion, and a jib structure. The telescopic stanchion attaches the jib structure to the pedestal. The telescopic stanchion forms a load path that transfers the load of the jib structure to the pedestal. The pedestal is a structure that forms a load path that transfers the load of the telescopic stanchion and the jib structure to a supporting surface. The jib structure suspends the foodstuff above the fire. The jib structure attaches to the telescopic stanchion such that the elevation of the jib above the supporting surface is adjustable.

Abstract: Fireplace grill insert assemblies suitable for deployment in a fireplace having a fireplace interior and a fireplace frame having a bottom frame panel in the fireplace interior may include an insert assembly frame. At least one grill panel may be supported by the insert assembly frame. At least one frame securing assembly may be provided on the insert assembly frame. The at least one frame securing assembly may be configured to facilitate detachable securement of the insert assembly frame to the bottom frame panel of the fireplace frame and cantilevered support of the insert assembly frame in the fireplace interior of the fireplace as one or more food items are cooked on the grill panel over a fire in the fireplace interior.

Abstract: A collapsible grill. The collapsible grill includes a base. The base is defined by several walls. An interior cavity is formed by the walls. A rod is affixed to an external surface of the base and extends upward from the base. A platform is mounted onto the rod. The platform can be adjusted vertically on the rod, so that a user can set a desired distance between the platform and the base.

Abstract: A cooking device. A connection mechanism is rigidly attached to the underside of a grill. A plurality of legs is attached to the grill for support. A stove having cookware support extensions is attached to the grill and supported by the connection mechanism. The connection mechanism positions the cookware support extensions tightly against the underside of the grill for optimum heat transfer. In a preferred embodiment, the cooking device is small, lightweight and easily portable.

Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning barbeque grills involves a new and improved barbeque cleaning brush apparatus that has a cover member which houses and protects the brush when not in use. The handle of the cleaning brush is adjustable in length. The cover member is configured to be attached to the side of a barbeque grill.

Abstract: A roasting post comprises a rod having a first end and a second end. The first end is configured to be inserted into the ground. A brace perpendicular to the rod is located at or near the second end. The brace comprises at least one counterbalance hook configured to receive a skewer such that the skewer is held substantially perpendicular to the ground while any food items on the skewer are held over a fire.

Abstract: A scroll-up portable grill assembly, system and method disclosed include grill rods having at least one locking ring disposed on a length of a respective grill rod, each locking ring disposed angularly to the length of the respective grill rod. Also, at least one roller chain is disposed in an angular connection with the grill rods, the roller chain configured to connect the grill rods into a single chain initially resembling a scroll. Additionally, at least one locking rod is insertable through a portion of or through all of the locking rings to give a rigid planar structure to a portion of or to all of the scroll grill. Furthermore, length adjustable legs are attachable to one of the grill rods, the roller chain, the locking rod and a grill rod angle bar termination, the adjustable legs configured to pivot and angularly extend from the grill.

Abstract: The present invention is a device for simultaneously holding a roll of paper towels adjacent to a cloth towel hanger. Structurally, a support is provided for holding the roll of paper towels in an upright orientation, and a cloth towel hanger is provided which interacts directly with the support. For this combination, an extension unit includes an upper rod with the cloth towel hanger. This upper rod is pivotally engaged with a lower rod for rotation about a pivot point. In one configuration, both rods of the extension unit are aligned for insertion into the lumen of the support. In an angled configuration, the extension unit is partially withdrawn from the support, and the upper rod is rotated about the pivot point to project the hanger radially from the support for a joint use of the hanger with the paper towel holder.

Abstract: A stretching/exercising apparatus that is structured and adapted to assist a user in stretching and/or exercising various portions of his or her body is presented herein. At least a portion of the apparatus is at least partially adjustable or positionable in order to accommodate users of different heights, strengths or stretching capabilities. Specifically, one or more horizontal support posts may be height-adjusted along a main vertical post or stanchion in order to vary the configuration of the apparatus for different stretching techniques and advancement levels. The apparatus may be substantially constructed of lightweight wood or other lightweight materials, and thus easily moved or transported from one location to another.

Abstract: A fire cooking grill includes a base, a post extending upwardly from the base along a axial centerline of the post, an arm pivotably coupled to the post to pivot about a first axis perpendicular to the centerline, a cooking platform pivotably coupled to the arm for pivotal movement about a second axis perpendicular to the centerline, a link having a first portion pivotably coupled to the post about a third axis perpendicular to the centerline and a second portion pivotably couple to the cooking platform about a fourth axis perpendicular to the centerline and a retainer selectively retaining the arm in one of a plurality of available angles about the first axis. In one implementation, fire cooking grill additionally comprises a swivel facilitating rotation of the cooking platform about the centerline of the post.

Abstract: A cooking grate assembly configured for use on a portable radiant heater with a front safety grille. The cooking grate assembly has a flat main cooking grate with an upper/inner end and a lower/outer end, a pair of spaced hook tabs extending from the upper/inner end of the grate that attach to an upper part of the grille, and a pair of inwardly-angled key tabs extending from the lower/outer end of the grate. A pair of detachable legs supports the grate from a lower part of the grille, with a rotatable locking connection to the key tabs on the grate at one end and opposed inner and outer hooks at the other end that both support the grate on the grille and provide a nesting flat interlock to the rear face of the grate for storage.

Abstract: A support structure has two side panels and two support frame assemblies maintaining the side panels in a mutually spaced relationship and at an elevation to enable suspension of hanging file folders from upper surfaces of the side panels. Each side panel has a top member having the upper surface and a bottom member spaced apart from the top member. Terminal ends of each of the top and bottom members are provided with vertical slots. Each support frame assembly has two support legs that extend into the vertical slots of the respective terminal ends of the side panels and has a transverse support member having opposite terminal ends releasably mounted to respective ones of the support legs. Each support leg has first and second leg portions spaced apart from one another by a bend serving as a seat that positions and holds the transverse support member.

Abstract: A device and method for positioning a coil spring actuated body grip trap on a pole. A strip of material having an aperture therethrough through is inserted between adjacent coils of the coil spring of a coil spring actuated body grip trap so that the aperture of the strip of material extends from the coils. A pole is driven into the ground, the pole having a diameter smaller than the diameter of the aperture of the strip of material. The aperture of the strip of material is slid onto the pole so that the body grip trap is at a desired position on the pole so that the aperture of the strip of material jam-locks on the pole by the weight of the trap.

The disclosed stove also includes a cook top comprising a pair of flat stock upper cross-members adjoined via a complementary slot in each member, each upper cross-member having an upper cooking edge and a pair of double tabs spaced apart on a lower edge configured to secure on a shelf there between an upper edge of the rigid container. Furthermore, the rigid container may be a discarded can or a collapsible four-sided container for flammable material and include holes for air flow in a bottom and at least one side thereof.

Abstract: The barbecue grill with a rotating fire receptacle includes a fire receptacle for receiving wood, charcoal or other combustible materials, which rotates, drawing air through a plurality of air inlets, or vents, formed through a lower wall thereof, thus increasing the oxygen flow through the receptacle and both increasing the rate of combustion as well as providing an enhanced convective path for the heated combustion gases. Abstract: A device for roasting a food item includes a stand having a frame adapted to be positioned on a surface of a cooking device. The frame includes an upper frame member. A food hanger is adapted to support the food item and engages the upper frame member in a removable fashion so that a majority of the food item is suspended below the upper frame member and above the surface of the cooking device when the frame is positioned thereon.

Abstract: A tray for a microwave oven and a microwave oven having the same is disclosed. Heat generators are formed on the surface of a tray unit of the tray for a microwave oven through transfer coating carried out at a high temperature, and thus the tray for a microwave oven may be heated to a high temperature, thereby being capable of effectively forming a grill mark on food to be cooked.

Abstract: It is important to have a safe cooking environment when cooking outdoors and this is particularly important when heating cooking oil on an uneven ground surface. This device will support a cooking pot on a platform that is elevated above the ground and allow the oil to be heated while also insuring that the pot remain level and prevent the structure from tipping. In the event that the structure tips or allows any of the oil to splash outside the container personal injury may occur and this device prevent that occurrence.

The central aperture is aligned with the bracket and extends around the mixing bucket. Abstract: A modular basin apparatus includes a first panel, a second panel and a third panel. The panels include a plurality of slots that receive portions of the other panels. A user may assemble the panels to form a three-dimensional basin apparatus. A concave cavity is formed on the upper side of the apparatus when assembled, and the cavity may be receive materials depending on the application of the assembly. In some embodiments, the apparatus may be used as a modular fire pit, chair, table, or other device. A fourth panel may rest against the first, second and third panels to provide an upper surface. In some embodiments, all panels include the same planform profile and outer dimensions such that they may be stacked in an arrangement having a uniform outer profile for improved transport and storage.

The plates are pivotable between a first configuration in which the plates extend generally parallel to one another and the support surface and a second configuration in which the plates extend generally parallel to and abutting one another and generally perpendicularly to the support surface to form a side baffle. Abstract: Disclosed herein is a combination outdoor cooking and firewood support apparatus having a frusto-conical frame designed to support firewood in a substantially upright orientation along a periphery of the frame in a manner such that the firewood lean toward the center of the frame. A cooking grate can be positioned on the upper end of the frame over the interior area so that food can be cooked over heat generated by the leftover coal from the burnt firewood that fell into the interior area of the frame. The apparatus can be collapsed into a flattened configuration when some of the arms are detached from at least one of the frame members while other arms remain attached to the frame members.

Abstract: A cantilevered leaf spring is biased against the upper edge of a roofing tile to prevent the tile from sliding upward beneath an overlying upper row of roofing tiles. The leaf spring can be formed as a part of a tile fastener which includes a hooked portion for receiving and holding the lower edge of a roofing tile on a roof. A series of tile fasteners is mounted to a layer of roofing material to facilitate installation of tiles without the need for installation tools. Damaged tiles can be easily replaced without the need for installation or removal tools. With this system, each row of underlying tiles is locked in place by the combined effect of an overlying and overlapping row of tiles and a spring awl on an upper fastener pushing the upper edge of a tile downwardly so that the lower edge of the tile is forced into the mouth of a lower fastener.

Abstract: A campfire cooking assembly for placement over a campfire that includes: a first vertical post and a second vertical post. The vertical posts are mounted on each side of an open campfire and include adjustable brackets on each post. The brackets may be adjustable vertically along the posts and receive a cooking mechanism between the brackets. Each post further includes a stake at the bottom that is used to drive the posts into the ground. Bolts may be provided on each bracket as a means to adjust the height of the bracket and in one particular, a rotating motor is provided on one vertical post. The brackets are adapted to receive a cooking mechanism such as a rotisserie rod or a cooking plate that may be inserted into the brackets for cooking purposes.

Abstract: A fire pit includes a circular bottom plate and a circular, centrally-apertured log-supporting plate. A plurality of legs secured about the periphery of the log-supporting plate maintain the bottom and log-supporting plates in vertically spaced, parallel relation to one another. Each leg has a hollow uppermost end. A plurality of arcuate grates is mounted about the periphery of the log-supporting plate and a vertically-oriented post is secured to each of the grates, mid-length thereof. Each of the posts has a lowermost end slideably received within the hollow uppermost end of its associated leg to releasably connect each grate to the log-supporting plate. Arcuate openings positioned radially outwardly of the central opening enhance the flow of oxygen into the areas where combustion occurs. The log-supporting plate is inverted and the grates are stacked atop it when the fire pit is in its storage configuration.

Abstract: The apparatus of this invention relates to a device for heating or cooking food or liquids such as soup, water, roast, etc. A downwardly curved visor-like deflector is selectively removably positioned outwardly of the upper end of the radiation disk of an infrared heater so as to extend outwardly therefrom. The deflector has an upwardly presented cooking utensil opening formed therein and a horizontally disposed cooking utensil support secured to the deflector at the inner surface thereof below the cooking utensil opening. The cooking utensil support dwells in a plane below the upper end of the radiation disk whereby infrared rays emitted from the radiation disk will impinge upon the cooking utensil support and a cooking utensil positioned on the cooking utensil support to cook or heat the contents thereof. Other accessories may also be attached to the heater such as a protective grill or a cooking basket.

Abstract: A grill having a bottom section and a middle section for expanding the diameter of the bottom section and at least one insert for separating the opening formed by the bottom section to allow smoking or an open fire. Different cooking surfaces are thereby a grill, a flat frying surface, an open area for receiving and holding a reservoir of water, such as a pot, and an open area for receiving a wok. There is also a hearth section for enclosing at least a portion of the exterior of the bottom section. It also envisions a smoker or ash guard expandable to fit either diameter to protect the cook and provide a surface for placing items attached to the stand apart from the heat source.

Abstract: A portable barbecue cooking apparatus is provided, the apparatus comprising a cooking chamber comprising a topside opening and a fire bowl with opposing ends; at least two handles, each handle attached to opposing ends of the fire bowl; and at least two shelves, each shelf being pivotally attached to each of the handles, and each shelf being foldable inwardly towards the topside opening of the cooking chamber during a stowage position and extendable outwardly away from the topside opening of the cooking chamber during a usage position.

Abstract: A portable cooking stove is disclosed. The cooking stove includes a base structure. At least one burner is positioned within the base structure. A burner plate is positioned above the burner and also above the base structure. When the stove is in use, a cooking surface may be placed on top of the burner plate. Multiple legs are connected to the base structure. The legs can be positioned in an extended configuration in which the base structure is positioned at a certain height above a ground surface. When the legs are positioned in the extended configuration, the height at which the base structure (and therefore the burner plate and any cooking surface that is placed on the burner plate) is positioned above the ground surface is adjustable without removing the legs from the base structure.
