Abstract: A Combination Grill Wok Barbeque has a circular steel plate with legs to raise the surface to table height. A post extends from the top surface and receives a tube sealed at one end. A steel ring is attached to the tube at one point on its circumference and is co-planar with the plate. The ring is designed to accommodate either a grill or a wok and support it over a heat source on the plate. The heat source may be either a propane burner or a charcoal fire in which case a wind shield is attached to the edge of the plate.

Abstract: An assembly (10) adapted for use heating a food product includes a wooden log section (12) having a cavity (14) therein defining a trough (17) for containing a solid fuel (26) and a metal grill (28) having a frame (30) adapted to and supported by the wooden log section (12) for supporting a food product to be heated. An apparatus (50) for forming the cavity (14) in the wooden log section (12) is provided and includes a support base (52), a pivotal member (54) pivotally mounted to the support base (52), a handle (60) mounted on the pivotal member (54), a support (62) mounted on the pivotal member (54) for supporting a cutter (64), a rotary cutter (64) connected to the support (62), a spring (68) operatively connected to the support base (52) and the pivotal member (54) biases the pivotal member (54) away from the support base ( 52), and a clamp mechanism (70) mounted on the support base (52) for clamping the log section (12) in a fixed position.

Abstract: Portable barbecue apparatus comprising a series of longitudinally extending, laterally spaced grill rods; and laterally extending, longitudinally spaced cables connected to the rods; the cables being flexible, whereby the rods and cables may be rolled up into a bundle for transport, and unrolled to form a cooking grill.

Abstract: A barbecue grill cart assembly is provided having a unique leg locking system at each corner. The locking system provides a plurality of contact points for each leg to obviate any swaying or twisting of the legs. The lower shelf includes extruded bolt receiving apertures which mate with corresponding apertures in the legs. The side shelves having a locking system including elongated slots which provide positive engagement and prevent accidental lowering of the shelves.

Abstract: A gridiron (1) is movable both vertically and horizontally and can thus be moved in space with a single handle. A locking device consisting of a simple screw or clampdevice may be provided to securely hold the gridiron in a determined position. The movability of the gridiron (1) is achieved using a parallelogram device (9-16) by means of which the gridiron (1) remains horizontal in all positions. The disclosed gridiron design allows food to be placed and removed from the gridiron much more easily and also the cooking stage of individual parts of the grilled foods to be checked. In addition, the grilled foods can be swivelled to a serving, so that the guest may choose the piece they wish. The gridiron (1) is provided with a holding device (17-20) which can be mounted either directly on a garden grill or on a separate stand.

Abstract: A portable gas range with a folding tripod. The portable gas range includes a bracket mounted on the gas range housing and rotatably supporting the inner ends of the pair of rotatable tripod members hinged to opposed sides of the bracket by hinge pins. This bracket has a pair of arcuate guide slits centering about the hinge pins. The guide pins are fixedly mounted on the inner ends of the rotatable tripod members and received in the arcuate guide slits. The moving plate is placed on the bracket such that it is linearly moved on the bracket. This moving plate mounts the rear tripod member on its rear end and is provided with a pair of longitudinal openings for receiving the guide pins penetrating the arcuate guide slits. The tripod folding lever has a push handle at an end thereof projecting out of the range housing. The other end of the tripod folding lever is connected to the moving plate, thus to linearly move the moving plate when the push handle is pushed.

Abstract: Portable cooking apparatus which comprises a support stand for supporting the apparatus above a cooking fire; a pair of flat cooking grills between which food to be cooked may be placed and suspension members connecting the pair of cooking grills to the support stand. The suspension members are manipulatable for moving the pair of grills from a horizontal position to a vertical position and then to another horizontal position as the relative position as one grill on top of the other is reversed.

Abstract: A portable grill including a vertical grill base, an inner sleeve received by the grill base for rotatable and slidable movement about the grill base, a J hook affixed adjacent the upper end of the grill base, a chain attached to the inner sleeve for engagement of the J hook allowing the sleeve to be raised and lowered relative to a fire, two grill portions extending outwardly from the inner sleeve for support over a fire, and a stop affixed to the lower end of the inner sleeve for support of the gratings.

Abstract: A portable fire ring comprises a plurality of curved sections which are secured together in an end-to-end relationship to form a semi-circle. A grill extension is then assembled and connected to the ends of the semi-circle. A pivotal grill extends over the grill extension to permit the fire chamber of the grill section to be opened to enable coals to be placed in the fire chamber. Disassembled, the fire ring may be lifted and moved to the desired position or moved to a new location. The portable fire ring is easily assembled and disassembled and may be carried in a bag or the like when disassembled.

Abstract: A multi-purpose gas heated cooking apparatus has a framework rack for holding a cooking container to be heated to cook the container's contents. The cooking apparatus has a shelf which can be positioned in a plurality locations within the framework rack for supporting a cooking container and the cooking apparatus has a centrally positioned hook at the top of the framework for hanging a cooking container such as a hanging kettle. A cooking container supported within the apparatus can be heated with propane gas burned in a specially adapted propane gas burner which itself can at least partially support a cooking container. The shelf and the specially adapted propane burner can be positioned in several different ways depending upon the type of cooking to be done and cooking container to be used. The apparatus can be alternately used for frying, stewing in an old-fashioned type kettle, deep-frying in an old-fashioned type kettle, steaming, or grilling.

Abstract: A portable outdoor grill includes a round, smooth stake having a T-shaped upper end to facilitate insertion and removal from the ground. An E-shaped double-hook having at each end a hook making contact with the post at two separated points, mounts on its external side a sleeve that slidably receives a horizontal arm. One end of the arm is for mounting a cooking utensil over a source of heat, and the other end mounts a wooden handle. The cooking utensil may be a wire basket having a wire lid allowing cooking of the other side of the food on rotation of the basket; two lid levers embracing the arm preclude opening of the lid on rotation of the basket. The basket may be replaced a Y-shaped bar whose branches have arcuate shapes providing three-point support for a range of differently sized cookware.

Abstract: A barbecue pit is arranged to include a rotary shaft mounted in adjacency to the pit having an extension shaft, wherein a mesh basket is arranged for selective positioning over the barbecue pit for ease of access to the basket and for food components positioned thereon. A rotisserie housing is mounted to the basket structure in an intercommunication to permit selective rotation of the basket over the pit structure.

Abstract: A campfire grill for cooking over an open fire is described as including a base support assembly with a plurality of legs extending away from an upright member. The upright member is of a predetermined height with a cooking implement support knob slidable along the upright member and lockable in a desired position. Cooking implements are interchangeably attached to the support knob for a cooking activity at the desired height above the campfire. A flange is described between the lower end of the upright member and the legs permitting the cooking implement and the upright member to be turned readily as an additional control over the temperature from the campfire.

Abstract: A portable camp stove is disclosed. It consists of a frusto-conical main body, a preheating chamber, and spiral flue chambers. The stove may be placed over a fire in a pit in the earth, or the stove may completely contain a fire within it when its bottom plate and legs are attached. Other accessories of the stove include a stovepipe and oven combination, a water heating system, and a grill and a rotisserie.

Abstract: A grill support is disclosed for supporting a barbecue grill in locations where a table is not available. The grill support may be attached to a ladder or to a balcony rail or similar support structure and includes a support platform supported in cantilevered manner spaced outwardly from the support structure. In addition an adjustment mechanism is provided whereby the support platform may be moved to a level position regardless of variations in orientation of the support structure.

Abstract: A convertible burner apparatus includes a primary burner frame having upper and lower parallel rings connected by struts. A burner element is contained within the primary frame that can be connected to a source of fuel gas such as a canister of propane/butane. A plurality of radially spaced grate members are positioned adjacent the upper ring for supporting a pot thereupon during use. A plurality of legs are removably connectable to the primary burner frame for supporting the primary burner frame in an elevated position. Connections are provided for removably affixing each leg to the primary burner frame at positions adjacent the upper ring and at the middle portion of the leg and a plurality of spokes discourages lateral movement of the legs at a position below the lower ring.

Abstract: A barbecue grill support frame (1) is provided for mounting onto upper and lower support rails (U, L). An upper frame (3) includes elongate side members (5A, 5B) each of which has a hook shaped inner end (7A, 7B) for attaching the side members to the upper rail and a transverse frame (9) attached to the side members at opposite points. A pair of elongate inclined telescopically adjustable leg members (15A, 15B) are pivotally attached to the side members and brackets (27A, 27B) carried by the lower support rail are pivotally connected to one end of an associated leg member. Auxiliary side panels (31A, 31B) are attachable to each side of the upper frame. In one embodiment the transverse frame includes an elongate member (11) and a circular member (13) and in another embodiment the transverse frame includes a pair of elongate transverse members (111, 113).

Abstract: An improved cart (50) for holding a barbecue kettle (10) is disclosed. The kettle (10) is supported by a pair of opposed side brackets (67) that are fastened on each side to a horizontal upper side member (53). The cart (50) has a tray assembly that includes a removable tray (70) resting on a sliding cradle (72) disposed between the upper side support members (53) that is movable between an opened and closed position. A closable storage bin (80) with an inclined bottom (81) is disposed between the upper side support members (53) and below the sliding cradle (72) and is accessible when the sliding cradle (72) is in an opened position. The cart (50) further includes a work surface adjacent the kettle (10) and between the upper side support members (53) and a shelf (95) for holding additional items disposed below the storage bin (80) and between the two side support structures (52).

Abstract: A tripod stand structured for supporting food holding equipment over a fire pan containing a fire, or an open campfire. The tripod has three support legs, each formed of a plurality of separable sections which snap together. The upper portion of each leg is hingedly affixed to a central collar. The central collar further defines a central bore structured for retaining a vertically oriented center rigid shaft. The lower end of the center rigid shaft is structured for releasably supporting one of several food holding accessories such as a grill, a battery powered rotisserie or a shish kebob apparatus over the fire. The central collar allows the center rigid shaft to be removed or variably adjusted in height over a wide range. Temporary stationary affixment of the center rigid shaft within the central collar is made with the use of a threadably engaged L-shaped handle, one end of which extends through a threaded bore in the sidewall of the central collar.

Abstract: A portable barbeque grill cart is disclosed having a base portion, two opposing end portions, and optional shelf portions. The two end portions are fabricated having two or more slip sleeve connectors adapted for telescopic interconnection of the base portion of the two end portions, thereby making assembly of the cart simple and expedient. The portable barbeque grill cart has no small loose pieces which can be lost or misplaced during shipment or assembly.

The device comprises a telescoping post either to be driven into the ground by way of a self-contained sleeve hammer or to be held erect by a circular grille stand, a telescoping height adjustment made possible by use of a barrel washer, an adjustable grille arm to install at the upper end of the telescoping steel post, the adjustable grille arm to invert 180 degrees to provide for added adjustment of the grille plate over the fire, the grille plate to attach onto the grille arm in normal or inverted position, an anti-rotating clip to prevent unwanted spinning of the grille plate, grille arm slots in inner post so cut as to hold the grille arm horizontal, thumb screws in sleeve hammer to fasten to post for storage and to serve as hand guide when in use, thumb screws in vertical portion of grille stand to turn in and stop unwanted rotation of grille when in use.

Abstract: A grill device or grill kit, having a base, support post, and a cantilevered support arm, adjustably interconnected for wide accommodation of cooking or grilling situations, outdoors or even indoors in a front-loading stove or fireplace. The support arm, and its revolvable connection to the support post, provide for use of the support arm as a rotisserie, and both a motor and a hand crank are provided for the grill-turning function; and diversity is further accommodated by the grill body itself being adjustable for flat-support use, or for meat-clamping use when the grill and support arm are used as a rotisserie.

Abstract: A leveling mechanism is provided for a campstove which includes a base and a plurality of legs which are pivotally attached to the base. The leveling mechanism is a ring-shaped band which is inserted between the legs and the base. A camming ramp extends over a portion of the circumference of the band and progressively increases the thickness of the band. The band is rotatable to position the camming ramp between one of the pivoting legs and the base for pivoting the leg away from the base.

Abstract: The present invention is for a fireplace cooking device which provides for translation a grill or other cooking device in three orthogonal directions. The device has a wall assembly which attaches to the sidewall of the fireplace and maintains a mechanism to raise or lower a grill or other cooking device. Attached to the wall assembly are a series of elements which are pivotably mounted to provide planar translation of a grill or other cooking device.

Abstract: A portable, collapsible cooking grill assembly for use at temporary camp sites has an elongated spud support which is driven into the ground by means of a driving tool having an impact head at its upper end. The impact head absorbs the force of the blows used to install the spud support in the ground. The driving tool is then removed and a grill support post is removably fit on the spud support. A removable grill may then be placed on the grill support post. The driving tool thus spares the spud support, grill support post and grill from any damage that may occur from hammer blows during installation. The height and lateral position of the grill may also be easily adjusted.

Abstract: Cooking apparatus comprising a stake having a first end arranged to be driven into the ground in upright manner and a support for supporting items to be cooked or heated connected to said stake in such manner that said support is arranged to be swivelled about said stake. The support may be in the form of one or more of several embodiments. In each such embodiment, the support comprises a sleeve arranged to surround the stake and is rotatable with respect thereto. Further, the embodiments may be in the form of a barbecue tray, a hollow for a wok type receptacle, a rotisserie or an elongate member having a hook.

Abstract: A stable, portable, and easily assembled cooking assembly is disclosed. The assembly includes arm means having a handle at one end, an outer support means at its other end and center pivoting means along its midsection. The center pivoting means is mounted on an upper end of a post means for pivotal movement thereabout at a first pivot point. The post means also has a lower end which is driven into the ground to secure the post means in an upright position. The upper end of the arm means also includes lock means for securing the arm means about the first pivot point at one of a plurality of differently angled positions. The assembly further includes a rigid suspension member having an upper end including outer pivoting means for pivotal engagement with and suspension from the outer support means of the arm means at a second pivot point. The suspension member also has a lower end for rigid attachment to an end edge of a food support.

Abstract: A multi-purpose support frame for supporting a cooking grill in an elevated position. The support frame comprises a support base with a support rod secured to the base and extending vertically above an end of the base. A support arm is secured to the rod and extends above and over the support base. The support arm has spaced-apart attachment elements for engaging cooperating parts of the grill for retaining the grill substantially horizontally above the support base. The grill is adjustably position in height above the support base by an adjustment member secured to the support rod. A handle is associated with the grill.

Abstract: A portable campfire cooker formed of metal walls, posts, grills and other parts, easily assembled and disassembled, providing a rigid and safe fire box. Cylindrical posts lock together interconnecting walls, which walls reciprocably support these posts against inadvertent displacement. Grill supports and pot supports are rotatably mounted on these posts in a secure arrangement. Spit members are similarly mounted onto these posts. Grill, pot and spit members are released by merely lifting from these posts. The walls can be of selected unit lengths to form polygonal shaped fire boxes of symmetrical or non-symmetrical configurations.

Abstract: A portable cooking grill device is formed from two vertical posts removably attached to the upturned ends of a U-shaped base. The cooking surface of the device is a grill having a rod attached along its rear edge, and a plurality of parallel rods extending perpendicular thereto from front to back of the grill. Two braces attached to the grill extend diagonally downward and rearward from the grill. The vertical posts pass through the grill between adjacent parallel rods. The grill is held in place with respect to the vertical posts and base by the rod attached along the rear edge of the grill which seats against the back of the vertical posts, and by the distal ends of the diagonal braces being seated against the front of the vertical posts. A number of horizontal ribs may be spaced along the length of the vertical posts to provide better support for the braces.

Abstract: A fireplace cooking grill supported for vertical and horizontal adjustment in a fireplace opening with the grill being supported from a vertically disposed support post having a rack gear along one edge thereof with the grill including a slide on the post having a manually rotatable gear mounted in a gear housing in engagement with the rack gear for vertically adjusting the grill. The rotatable gear is provided with a detachable handle, which can be removed when desired, and the gear housing includes a bracket having a horizontally disposed support member slidably supporting a grill frame and a removable grill therein which enables the grill to be vertically adjustable in relation to the fireplace and horizontally adjustable inwardly and outwardly of the fireplace to enable optimum positioning of the grill in relationship to a fire, coals, or other heat source in the fireplace.

Abstract: A campfire cooker assembly including a tripod and grill structure, a fire bowl and a smoker. Each component may be used alone. The fire bowl may be used with the tripod and grill or the smoker. An additional grill for the tripod and grill structure may be used. Several forms of adjustable stable grill supports are disclosed. The fire bowl includes a surrounding concentric ring structure for support of articles and for safety. The grill may be rotated by a suitable motor. The smoker includes a protected water pan structure and may have several grills rotated by a motor. Accessory items include a wind screen, cutting board and solid or mesh cooking segments placed on the grill. The legs of the tripod and grill structure may be received in a ground supported ring. A cover may be provided for the fire bowl to smother a fire in the bowl and provide a protective rain shield.

Abstract: A barbecue apparatus having a vertical central post removably attached to a laterally extending base and having a plurality of vertically and radially offset transverse openings into which the ends of skewers laden with food may be inserted to position the skewers at the desired height. An auxiliary grill, fire pan, steam pan and smoker dome are provided, all of which are adjustably supported on the central post.

Abstract: A charcoal cooker has a cooker bowl and a lid dimensioned to cover the bowl during cooking. Food is supported within the cooker on a support structure such as a rotisserie rod or a grid. A primary grate is disposed within the bowl below the food support structure and is configured to support a charcoal fire and an upper grate is disposed at an elevation within the bowl above the primary grate but below the food support structure. The upper grate is configured to support a charcoal fire and is spaced from the primary grate at a sufficiently small distance so that a charcoal fire on the primary grate will ignite charcoal disposed on the upper grate. In this manner a long lasting charcoal fire may be achieved by starting a fire on the primary grate and placing fresh charcoal on the upper grate for subsequent ignition and burning.

Abstract: A portable campfire and grill for outdoor use is provided. The preferred embodiment has an outer protective screen to help prevent hot sparks and embers from damaging the adjacent ground and to help protect children from coming too close to the flames. An interior grate system is also provided to contain the fire and baffle heat to help protect the underlying ground from scorching. The apparatus can be used as a contained campfire or as an outdoor barbecue by placing a grill over the fire.

A means for suspending the cooking utensil over a heat source not having a grill may also be associated with the invention.

Abstract: A campfire griddle or grill which is designed for convenience and cooking over a campfire. A metal support in the form of a stake is driven into the ground by stepping on a foot pad and the griddle handle is then placed over the stake and lowered to the desired height. The handle can be adjusted to different heights by depressing the safety latch while lowering and the griddle can be swung away from the fire as desired. The griddle itself can easily be attached or removed from the handle. It can also be used alone on a camp stove if desired. A charcoal pan can also be attached to the stake under the griddle so that charcoal can be placed in such charcoal pan to heat the griddle or grill after it has been placed on the supporting stand.

Abstract: A lightweight, foldable, compact, portable cooking device having a vertical support member which provides a location for adjustable attachment of cooking and fire grates. Cooking and fire grates are hinged and the support member disassembles into multiple segments thereby permitting the entire implement to be collapsed to satisfy compact storage requirements.

Abstract: There is disclosed a portable grill assembly for use with an extraneous fire source such as an indoor or outdoor fireplace, fire ring, campfire and the like. The grill assembly includes a grill sub-assembly including a flat grill for supporting a comestible such as a meat product, or wrapped vegetables and the like which is distally supported by an elongated bar having, at its opposite end, an insulated hand grip. The grill sub-assembly is used in combination with a support stand that comprises a base and a vertical standard supported thereon. The position of the grill is infinitely adjustable and, to this end, a support bracket is slideably received over the vertical standard of the stand with a clamp providing adjustable locking to the standard. The clamp provides a rest and a cantilevered support for the grill sub-assembly. This is accomplished by a pair of posts projecting from one side of the bracket.

Abstract: A portable apparatus for suspending an object to be cooked in close proximity to a heat source while rotating the object about a vertical axis. The hook upon which the meat or objects to be cooked or hung is rotated by a chain connecting a sprocket on the hook with a sprocket on an electric motor. The chain is sufficiently long so that the motor may be placed far enough from the fire or heat source to prevent damage to the motor. Preferably, the hook and motor is contained within a single frame which has two hooks at the top thereof so that the frame may be suspended from a horizontal pipe.
