  • Patent number: 11899844
Abstract: A device for motion sickness reduction. The device operates by providing haptic feedback using transducers that convert electrical signals to a tactile sensation such as pressure, vibration, electrical stimulation, temperature, or airflow. The transducers are located at different locations on the body of a user, and actively change their operation to indicate a direction of motion or rotation to the user through haptic (tactile) feedback. This tactile feedback can be used to reduce motion sickness. In an embodiment, the feedback is improved by deducting motion associated with the user's visual frame of reference from motion associated with the user's vestibular frame of reference.

Abstract: A handheld touch apparatus for providing a variety of tactile sensations to the fingers and thumb of a hand of a user. The touch apparatus includes a cubic body having an outer surface defined by a plurality of faces that are planar and orthogonal to one another and joined together by radiused edges that meet together to form rounded corners. The cubic body is sized for holding within the palm of the user's hand and for being supported, rotated and manipulated by the fingers and thumb of the same hand. The touch apparatus further includes tactile features extending from the faces of the cubic body and that are selectively movable relative to their associated faces. The tactile features are contained within the volume of an imaginary sphere defined by the rounded corners and isolated from the tactile features on adjacent faces by the radiused edges of the cubic body.

Abstract: A device for motion sickness reduction, directional indication, and neural rehabilitation that provides three modes of operation. This tactile feedback can be used to reduce motion sickness, provide directional indication, and enhance neural rehabilitation.

The transaction includes dispensing of a medication. A reimbursement data packet is determined based on the first data. The reimbursement data packet includes second data describing a reimbursement claim to be submitted to a payer system for the transaction. The reimbursement data packet is transmitted from the computer system to a plurality of other computer systems. A response is received from each of the other computer systems. Each response indicates whether a respective one of the other computer systems determined that the reimbursement claim is valid. A determination is made that the reimbursement claim is valid based on the responses.
