Abstract: A hair accessory for attaching hair extensions to a person's hair includes a clip having front and back members pivotally connected with a hinge. Each member has inner and outer sides. One or more magnets are fixed with the front and back members of the clip, aligned with one another to maintain the clip in a closed position magnetically. The hair extensions are fixed with the outer side of the members. In use with the clip moved from an open position to the closed position about the person's hair, the hair extensions hang downwardly to augment the appearance of the person. The person's hair not within the clip can be combed over the clip to hide the clip from casual view.

Abstract: A haircutting template is a plastic headpiece having a plurality of upper blade rows and a plurality of perpendicularly disposed lower blade rows in the shape of a head. The peripheral edge of the device has the shape of a common hairline. The template is capable of being removably secured about the head of a user by means of an adjustable strap.

Abstract: A nape hair shaving device for allowing a user to shave hair on a nape located behind the user's neck, comprising an arcuate shaving bar and a plurality of razors projecting therefrom to form a curved shaving arc which conforms to the shape of the user's neck. Abstract: A device for guiding grooming of facial hair on a face and methods for using the device are disclosed. The device may include a strip of flexible material with an adhesive surface. The adhesive surface may temporarily attach the strip to a face having at least some facial hair. At least one edge of the strip may have a selected shape. The strip may be positioned on the face to cover a portion of the facial hair to be retained on the face while allowing an exposed portion of the facial hair to be removed by a shaving device. At least some part of the exposed portion of the facial hair lies along the edge of the strip with the selected shape.

Abstract: A guide device for trimming a person's beard includes a rigid body having a mouth anchor aperture through a proximal side and an open distal side covered by an attachable body cover that includes a threaded aperture therethrough for receiving a threaded tightening knob. A mouth piece anchor is adapted for fixing with a mouth piece rotation plate within the body. A mouth piece has a proximal end adapted for gripping with the person's mouth, and a distal end adapted for pivotally fixing with the mouth piece anchor. Left and right frames each have an inner side adapted for fixing with a frame clamp, and an outer side adapted for fixing with a shaving guide. In use, the knob is tightened to fix the mouthpiece and the frames in place. The person then holds the mouthpiece in his mouth to position the guide device on his face while shaving.

In the hair measurement tool, V-shaped notches are formed in both side surfaces corresponding to each position of the scale lines. The hair measurement tool is used for, by placing the one end part on a head, performing hair cut with hairdressing scissors positioned at the notch (position controlled) after measuring with the scale lines the hair (or hair bundle) picked from the head.

Abstract: Described herein are haircutting patterns for use when cutting hairs, and methods for use therewith. In an embodiment, a haircutting pattern includes a spine and a plurality of threads extending from the spine. The spine is configured to be affixed to hairs and/or a scalp. The threads are configured to be visibly distinguishable among hairs. In certain embodiments, free ends of the threads define a perimeter shape of a haircut and thereby provide a guide for cutting hairs. In certain embodiments, different portions of the threads are different colors, and different perimeter shapes are defined by where different colors end. In certain embodiments, different colored lines on the threads define different perimeter shapes for a haircut.

Abstract: A hair cutting guide/apparatus and method for aiding in creating/trimming a humans hair into a mohawk type hairstyle. The mohawk guide consists of two side pieces, two adjustable spacers/connectors, and two clips. The bottom edges of the two side pieces are contoured to follow the shape of the human head from the start of the hairline to the nape of the neck. The mohawk guide is slid into position with the two clips held open with the front of the guide by the start of the user's hairline. The clips are then released which causes the clips to close via spring tension and thereby grip the hair in between the bottom edges of the clips and the inner surfaces of the two side pieces. With the mohawk guide now securely attached to the user's head, the hair on both sides of the guide is cut. Then the mohawk guide clips are opened and the guide is slid back through the user's hair until the front of the guide is where the end of the the guide was during the previous step.

The device also comprises a handle for a user to place the shape-determining member on the skin manually. The device comprises a tightening member for pushing in the skin under the device at a distance from the circumference of the shape-determining member, whereby the skin is pushed in deeper underneath the tightening member than underneath the circumference of the shape-determining member. The presence of the tightening member reduces the pressure on the skin at the circumference, owing to which a fold is prevented or is less deep and the slope is less steep. This enables a razor to come closer to the circumference of the template, which makes the contour sharper.

The bands that hold the clean-necks system around an individual's head may be elastic and flexible for comfort. Abstract: A device and method for forming designs into the haired surface on the body. The device features a design head having a shape defined by a perimeter edge and a support shaft engaged with the design head. Hair is trimmed from the haired surface adjacent to the perimeter with one hand while the other hand compresses the design head against the haired surface. A second shape may be formed by trimming the haired surface inside of an aperture located inside the perimeter edge of the design head.
