Abstract: A hairstyling apparatus is described which includes a barrel that acts as a hairstyling surface and a central longitudinal axis. The barrel has a first proximal end and a second distal end. A heating element is in thermal communication with the barrel. A rotating member located at the proximal end of the barrel and configured to rotate around the central axis of the barrel, the rotating member including at least one tab extending along a longitudinal length of the hairstyling surface over at least a portion of a longitudinally extending portion of the hairstyling surface. Further, at least one hairstyling element received in said at least one tab.

Abstract: A detachable hair brush apparatus is disclosed. The hair brush apparatus may comprise a handle with elongated metal extension rods at one end and at least one hollow brush head for insertion around the metal extension rods. In a locked position, the metal extension rods extend substantially through a base of the brush head. At least one button may be located on said handle for releasing the mechanical locking engagement. Torque provided by a user of the hair brush apparatus is absorbed by the metal extension rods of the hair brush handle. In this way, functional separation of two distinct systems is provided for, namely the function of “attaching” and the function of “absorbing torque”. This will make for increased robustness of each system. In a preferred embodiment, neither the handle nor the at least one hollow brush head comprises a magnet for coupling.

Abstract: A rotatable brush for animals is provided, having a longitudinal length and including a rotatable core portion with a plurality of bristles each having a first end connected to the core portion and a second free end located in a position radially outwardly of the first end with respect to a rotation axis of the brush. The brush includes at least one protective element rotationally fixedly connected to the core portion. The least one protective element is flexible and extends radially outwardly from the core portion. The protective element forms an outer hair guiding surface portion along the longitudinal length of the brush.

Abstract: An apparatus for drying hair includes first and second mutually-opposing arms adapted for movement between an open configuration for receiving a length of wet hair therebetween and a closed configuration adjacent the hair. A vibrator imparts vibration from at least one of the arms to the length of hair in use, to move and separate hair fibres for improving drying of the hair. A method of drying hair includes using the apparatus to impart vibration to a length of wet hair held within the apparatus. The method may further include using the apparatus to style the hair substantially simultaneously with drying the hair.

Abstract: A hand-held bed sheet warmer device is provided for heating bedding, including an air intake configured to intake air, a fan and heating coil assembly to receive and heat the air to provide warm air, a handle configured in between the air intake and the fan and heating coil assembly and having a hollow cavity formed therein to allow the air to pass through the handle from the air intake to the fan and heating coil assembly, and a warm air distributor rod configured to receive the warm air and comprising a plurality of outlet vents configured to distribute the warm air to the bedding. The air intake, the fan and heating coil assembly, the handle and the warm air distributor are arranged linearly and the device is configured as a hand-held baton or shaft.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to hair styling apparatuses and related methods. The hair styling apparatus includes a heated barrel defining a stationary hair styling surface, a rotating member configured to rotate around the stationary hair styling surface, and a burn prevention cover. The rotating member includes a tab fixedly extending along a longitudinal length of the stationary hair styling surface over less than an entire longitudinal length of the hair styling surface to gather and wind a user's hair around the stationary hair styling surface without clamping onto the wound hair.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a hair curling hammer and an operation principle thereof. The hair curling hammer is made up of a handle housing component, a control member, a heating member, a power member, a hair curling member and a hair care member. The handle housing component comprises a first handle housing and a second handle housing, the control member comprises a button, a decoration fixing mount, a button divider and a PCB board. The power member, heating member, hair curling member and hair care member are arranged in the working part of the hair curling hammer together. The invention is adjustable in temperature, circling number of curling hair, case hardening time, and turning, which meets the various requirements of the customer; improves the hair curling member, the operability and reliability of curling hair greatly; and three hair combing brushes are added in to make the progress of curling hair more smooth.

A brush wand may be coupled to the guard end of the handle with the brush wand terminating with a brush head which may be used to clean a toilet bowl. A power supply may be in electrical communication with a light unit and with a fan unit having a fan blade. The fan blade may be rotatably driven by a motor and configured to circulate air onto the brush head.

Abstract: A hair styling iron includes a handle to which a barrel is mounted, a heating element in the barrel, a rotary drive including a motor that rotates the barrel, a control circuit including a timer, and a momentary drive switch which is user actuable and connected to the control circuit for control of the motor. Actuation of the drive switch must be maintained to operate the rotary drive. The control circuit monitors at least one change of state of the drive switch to determine a starting time, and actuates an alarm after an elapsed time measured from the starting time. The elapsed time is calculated by the control circuit in direct proportion to an angle of rotation of the barrel relative to the handle that occurs between a first actuation of the drive switch and release of the drive switch immediately following the first actuation of the drive switch.

The iron includes a drive switch which is user actuable and connected to the control circuit for controlling operation of the motor. The control circuit includes a timer and monitors at least one change of state of the user-actuable drive switch to determine a starting time, and actuates an alarm, or another response, such as a reversal of the motor to unwind the hair, after an elapsed time measured from the starting time. The elapsed time may be user-selected or calculated automatically depending upon the length of hair wound onto the barrel, with compensation for barrel temperature.

The user has the comfort of performing both of these vital tasks with one hand, providing the other hand with the freedom necessary to part and prepare each section of the hair for treatment. A spool for receiving cord is freely rotatable independently of the cover. The cord is held for rotation with the cover. The cover has an aperture to thread a lock of hair and the cord therethrough. Rotation of the cover by the motor causes rotation of the cord around the lock of hair, thereby wrapping the hair with the cord.

Abstract: A rotatable hair brush includes a core with a plurality of series of holes, each series displaced in an annular direction from the other series. Bristles are disposed in the holes. Dividers are disposed on the core between successive series of bristles. A support member holds the dividers. Detents on the support member, and on an end cap at the other end, and matching detents on the core retain the core fixedly relative to the dividers. A handle extending from the other end of the core and the dividers holds a battery and a motor for rotating the core and the dividers. The end cap and the portion of the handle adjacent the end cap are shaped to provide a smooth continuous surface (preferably concave) for preventing a user's hair from becoming entangled during the brush operation. An end cap covering the support member has a smooth continuous surface to prevent the user's hair from becoming entangled during the brush operation.

Abstract: A rotating hair brush has several dividers between some of the rows of bristles. The dividers prevent hair from being tangled in the bristles as the brush rotates. The dividers also help smooth the hair and absorb and transfer back to the hair heat from a blow dryer. The dividers may be of many different shapes and may extend longitudinally or curve along the brush. Structure allows the brush to be removed from the handle that contains the motor and battery powering the brush. The brush also may have a guide covering part of the bristles.

Each engaging member has a generally inclined peripheral edge extending from the disk-shaped base toward a free end of the rod supporting shaft so as to permit permanent rods of various different diameters to be engaged therewith.

Abstract: A method of rolling up short strands of hair in the process of giving a permanent wave to a person, a holding strip and a curling device including a curling rod used in the method are related. The holding strip is placed about a strand of hair such that the holding strip forms an extension of the strand of hair. The holding strip with the strand of hair fixed to it is rolled up by the curling device. For this purpose, the curling rod engages the holding strip at an end away from the persons's head and it is rotated and moved toward the head thereby rolling up the holding strip and strand of hair. The holding strip therefore serves as a roller for the strand of hair.

Abstract: A rotatable curling iron is disclosed in which the barrel and clip portion may rotate along with a motor-driven shaft of the curling iron. A cable connects to the clip at one end, then passes through an opening and to an interior of a hollow drive shaft and runs along a length of the drive shaft before exiting the drive shaft through a terminal opening. The second end of the cable is in communication with a clip handle. One or more swivels are provided along the length of the cable which permits a portion of the cable to rotate along with the barrel and clip.

Abstract: A spherical curler and method for using same are provided to enable a user to obtain a helical curl having a continue of varying diameters within each lock of curled hair. This varying diameter helix provides a new and distinct look for the curled hair. In addition, the spherical configuration allows more curlers to be placed on the head as compared to conventional cylindrical curlers having the same sized diameter. Also, the spherical configuration of the curler provides for less wasted space on the curler, and allows each curler to be more completely utilized for each respective lock of hair.

Abstract: A hair-curling device has a plurality of substantially cylindrical handleless elements of different diameters each having a central supporting member and a plurality of radially extending bristles. One end of each element can have a hair-separating member, while the other end can have a holding member connectable with a handle. The elements can be arranged radially in engagement with each other to form an oval curl and releasably attached to each other.
