At least some of the teeth are relatively narrow in the vicinity of their base and can have a maximal width in the central area of the tooth and be relatively narrow in the vicinity of the free end of the tooth. This improves the retention of the clip in the hair.

Abstract: A hair retainer is pivoted to one end portion of an ornamental cover. At a top portion of the hair retainer, a releasing mechanism is provided to unlatch engaging arms provided at the other end portion of the ornamental cover from a pair of engaging portions provided at a movable end of the hair retainer. The releasing mechanism is a releasing member that extends from the hair retainer to be disposed between the pair of engaging portions, and that opposes a top portion of the engaging arms in a latched state. The releasing member unlatches the engaging arms latched to the engaging portions by drawing the engaging arms together when the releasing member is pushed towards the engaging arms.

Abstract: A hair holding device comprises an upper holding body (1) having an upper holding portion (1a) and an upper grip portion (1b) which are connected to form a single body, and a lower holding body (2) having a lower holding portion (2a) and a lower grip portion (2b) which are connected to form a single body, wherein either one of the upper and lower grip portions (1b) and (2b) is provided with a protrudent spring (4) which comes into contact with the other one. The upper and lower holding portion (1a) and (2a) are forced to move toward each other by a simple structure of the device, whereby the assembly takes a short time and the manufacturing cost is low.

Abstract: A method is provided for assembling a hair holder. Firstly, two bodies interconnected by a connecting plate are integrally formed, wherein each body includes two lugs with aligned holes and a plurality of bristle elements formed thereon, and wherein each of two ends of the connecting plate is connected to an associated body by a first bendable section. The connecting plate further includes a second bendable section formed on a mediate section thereof. Then, two legs of an elastic member are attached to two protrusions of the connecting plate to temporarily position the elastic member. Next, the bodies are bent along the first bendable sections to align the holes of the lugs with a coil portion of the elastic member. A pivotal pin is then extended through the aligned holes of the lugs and the coil portion of the elastic member. Next, the legs of the elastic member are disengaged from the protrusions.

Abstract: A hair clip of the present invention has two securing holders deviced to secure a torsion spring therein, having securing trenches to retain two projecting parts of the spring and has two clipping elements each provided with two holded connecting protrusions and holding recesses, a pin being inserted through said connecting protrusions and said securing holders retaining said spring therein so as to enable said clipping elements hingedly open and close by means of resilience of said spring, said holding recesses providing a more secured connection of said securing holders with said clipping elements; said securing trenches retaining said projecting parts of said spring contributing to preventing rusting of the same and scratching and hurting of a user.

Abstract: The hairclip of the invention comprises two elongate branches hinged together at their first ends about a transverse hinge axis, with retaining lugs or a retaining spring for selectively and separably fastening them together at their second ends. Each branch has curved teeth extending laterally from the first lateral edge, curving towards the other branch and interdigitated with the curved teeth of said other branch. This improves the retention of said hair in the hairclip.

Abstract: A new hair fashion accessory for holding hair in place while at the same time enhancing the appearance of the wearer. The inventive device includes an elongated member having a first surface and a second surface, a clip attached to the first surface for securing the elongated member to the hair, and an arcuate fastener attached to the support member for releasably securing a bow to the second surface. The bow can be replaced with a different bow by releasing the arcuate fastener, removing the bow, and inserting the new bow between the fastener and the second surface. The fastener is then reattached so as to secure the new bow.

Each interacting hair fashioner can be made of a predetermined material, for example flexible or resilient material; reconfigurable material capable of being bent repeatedly without fracturing; or rigid material; or the like. At least two interacting hair fashioners are used to roll two hair groups in two opposite directions. Then, these two interacting hair fashioners are couple interlock the two hair groups together by being intertwined together or by using coupling device. Further, additional interacting hair fashioners can be used together with these two interacting hair fashioners to style additional hair.

Abstract: A color matched hair clip device with and without an unlocking key combination, and a method for adding and removing multiple hair extensions or tracks to a person's head without resorting to sewing or gluing as practiced conventionally. The locking arms have either inclined or convexly rounded surfaces forming expulsion ramps.

Abstract: A hair clip includes a first jaw operable by a first opening lever and hinged to a second jaw operable by a second opening lever. The hinge is provided by perforated lugs respectively projecting beyond inside surfaces of intermediate connecting areas between the levers and the jaws through which passes a connecting pin defining a transverse hinge axis. Two open annular springs disposed coaxially around the hinge axis pass through corresponding openings in the levers and bear in corresponding housings on outside surfaces of the jaws. The first and second latch members are adapted to releasably engage one another. At least one of the first and second elongated latch is elastically deformable. In the preferred embodiment, each of the latch members includes a first segment having a free end spaced apart from an adjacent surface of its respective elongated member. Each free end cooperates with the adjacent surface to define an opening therebetween.

The base has an intermediate corrugated rectangular plate in different curvature disposed into a longitudinal recess along the length of its center line and a square socket formed at the flat end thereof including a horizontal slot and a pair of rectangular recesses on upper portion. The elastic plate has a elongate elliptical recess formed along its longitudinal center line, a pair of three-point elastic centers respectively pressed adjacent the two ends of the elliptical recess and a rectangular plug formed at the flat end having a pair of spaced rectangular spring snap catches formed on longitudinal center line for a readily connection of the rectangular plug with the square socket in a snap fitting. There are several modified examples and an interlocking structure based on this ornament clip.

The comb is initially folded against the clip plate via a cooperated action between the symmetrical short pins and the comb pivot seats so as to allow the combined foldable hair clip and comb to be used as a hair clip.

At least a portion of each comb assembly is geared for interlocking with the gears of the central wheel for providing rotational movement of the combs and teeth. The teeth are movable in a receiving space of the clamp ring for securing a gathering of hair between the teeth of each comb. A positioning tool is engageable with the central wheel and comb assemblies for effectuating rotation thereof.

Abstract: A braid aid hair clip is provided, which consists of an elongated body member and a clasp. A device is on a first end of the elongated body member, for pivoting a first end of the clasp. An apparatus is on a second end of the elongated body member, for holding a second end of the clasp in a closed position. A structure is on the elongated body member for automatically dividing hair from a head of hair between the elongated body member and the clasp into a plurality of equal sections when the clasp is in the closed position, so that a woman can begin braiding the hair.

This barrette has a pair of elongated members which are coupled to one another for movement between a closed operative condition where the elongated members are juxtaposed and define an opening therebetween for releasably capturing strands of hair, and an open condition where the elongated members are at least partially separated from one another. One of the elongated members has a plurality of separating members that extend toward the other elongated member when in a closed operative condition. These separating members are operable for separating the strands of hair captured between the two elongated members.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an improved fashionable neckwear ensemble for women. More particularly I have provided a method of creating a fashionable scarf and clip ensemble. The clip being of the type having a ring shaped clip portion that is hingedly connected to an ornamental clip portion, with the hinge and ornamental clip portions being relatively movable from closed to open positions. The steps of forming a length of scarf material into a loop, the scarf material having two ends, attaching the ends to each other to form a ring shaped piece of scarf material with a central opening having a sufficient length and diameter to fit over a woman's head and around a woman's neck.

It includes a barrette member which has a first elongated frame and a second elongated frame with each of these frames having a plurality of teeth. The first elongated frame and the second elongated frame each have a first end and a second end and the first end of these frames are hingedly connected to one another and the second ends of these frames have an attachment mechanism which permits them to be removably attachable to one another. The comb member has a plurality of teeth and it has a comb member attachment mechanism so that it can be attached to the barrette member at a plurality of locations along the elongated length of the barrette member. For example, the attachment mechanism may be hooks, snaps or slide-ins or other attachment mechanisms.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for forming decorative hair bows includes the steps of providing an apparatus including a longitudinally extended hair bow frame having top and bottom surfaces and a barrette clip mounted on the bottom surface of the frame, the frame including a plurality of openings extending between the top and bottom surfaces. The method further includes providing an elongated strip of decorative material and extending a portion of the strip of decorative material through one of the openings in the frame such that a loop of decorative material is formed extending out of an opening above the top surface of the frame.
