In an illustrative example, the two adjacent hair bundles may be separated by, for example, at least two knots. The knots may include overhand knots. By introducing one or one or more knots, the width of the hand-tied hair weft may be customized without the weft shedding or unraveling.

In one example, a weft may be attached to the second substrate to add additional volume and/or length of hair and may be covered by a plurality of hairs extending from the second substrate. In another example, a portion of the hairs attached to the second substrate may be folded over a distal edge of the second substrate to make the hair extension less noticeable. Alternatively, a portion of the hairs attached to the second substrate may be crocheted through a wearer's anchor braid and folded over the hair extension to make the hair extension less noticeable.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a silica gel/resilient eyelash stem structure and artificial eyelash having the same. The silica gel/resilient eyelash stem structure is integrally formed by enclosing root portions of eyelash strands to be adhered by an adhesive; ingredients for preparing the adhesive comprises the following components in parts by weight: 70-80 parts of a silica gel base, 15-20 parts of a filler, 4-6 parts of a cross-linking agent, 0.2-0.4 parts of a catalytic agent, 0.02-0.05 parts of an inhibiting agent. The silica gel/resilient eyelash stem structure is integrally formed by enclosing root portions of eyelash strands by an adhesive which is made of multi-component silica gel material. The silica gel/resilient eyelash stem structure obtained is non-poisonous, safe, anti-allergic, high temperature and low temperature resistant, highly stable, water washable and repeatedly usable.

The latter portion ensures sufficient space to protect and maintain a person's natural hair and hairstyle. An internal netting helps to catch shedding hairs while a drawstring in the band allows for tightness to be adjusted.

The strips have hairs disposed in parallel on a tape substrate and adhered thereto by a matrix of hygroscopic sealant, glass silk and polyurethane atop to adhere the hairs to the tape substrate.
