Abstract: In a semiconductor wafer manufacturing apparatus, a rotation module is provided to hold the semiconductor wafer at a plane. The semiconductor wafer is revolved by the rotation module around a first axis. The first axis is substantially perpendicular to the plane. A cleaning module is configured to revolve around a second axis when the cleaning module contacts the surface of the semiconductor wafer. A mechanism is further provided to enable the rotation module and/or the cleaning module to move along a direction substantially perpendicular to the first axis. Consequently, the relative velocities at the contact points between the semiconductor wafer and the cleaning module are changed. Moreover, no relative velocity at any contact point between the semiconductor wafer and the cleaning module is zero or close to zero.

Abstract: Compositions and methods of removing particulate matter from a surface. An example comprises contacting a kneadable dust removal composition with the surface so that the particulate matter adheres or becomes embedded within the composition, and is removed from the surface with the dust removal composition. Preferably the dust removal composition comprises a polymerized siloxane, more preferably a substituted polymerized siloxane, even more preferably, a non-cross-linked, linear polymerized siloxane. In other embodiments the invention comprises a kneadable dust removal composition, preferably comprising a polymerized siloxane. The dust removal composition may be packaged to be attachable to a broom, sweeper, or mop so that it make used to pick up residue from sweeping, brushing or mopping. In other embodiments the dust removal composition may be packaged in a “twist-up” or other similar package permitting the composition to be extruded or advanced to expose a fresh surface.

Abstract: A substrate processing apparatus comprises an indexer block, an anti-reflection film processing block, a resist film processing block, a development processing block, a resist cover film processing block, a resist cover film removal block, a cleaning/drying processing block, and an interface block. An exposure device is arranged adjacent to the interface block in the substrate processing apparatus. The exposure device subjects a substrate to exposure processing by means of an immersion method. In the edge cleaning unit in the cleaning/drying processing block, a brush abuts against an end of the rotating substrate, so that the edge of the substrate before the exposure processing is cleaned. At this time, the position where the substrate is cleaned is corrected.

Abstract: This invention relates to a device for cleaning a grating disc used for cutting food. The grating disc has two sets of parallel blades, the blades delineating quadrilateral-sectioned spaces in a main plane of the grating disc, a main plane of each blade being substantially perpendicular to the main plane of the grating disc. The device has at least one tooth, the tooth being sized such that it is able to be inserted into the spaces delineated by the blades. The device including a pin aligned with the tooth or teeth, an end of the pin protruding relative to one end of the tooth or teeth. The pin being capable of sliding into a space delineated by the blades at the same time that the tooth or teeth are inserted into one or more spaces delineated by the blades. This invention also relates to a set for cleaning a grating disc, comprising such a device. Finally, this invention relates to a method for cleaning a grating disc used for cutting food.

Abstract: A substrate cleaning method is used for performing scrub cleaning of a surface of a substrate. The substrate cleaning method includes rotating a roll cleaning member and a substrate respectively in one direction while keeping the roll cleaning member in contact with the substrate in a cleaning area, and supplying a cleaning liquid to a surface of the substrate to scrub-clean the surface of the substrate in the presence of the cleaning liquid in the cleaning area. The cleaning liquid is supplied initially to an inverse-direction cleaning area of the cleaning area where the relative rotational velocity between the roll cleaning member and the substrate is relatively high, and thereafter to a forward-direction cleaning area of the cleaning area where the relative rotational velocity between the roll cleaning member and the substrate is relatively low while the substrate makes one revolution on a central axis thereof.
