Abstract: A process is provided for accessing an underground pressurized gas main for retirement of replacement of the connection of a gas service pipe thereto. A gas main fixture that has a service tee adaptor and a pressurized chamber connected thereto is mounted onto the gas main with the tee adaptor above a tee plug on the gas service pipe. The chamber is closed against gas discharge and the tee plug is unscrewed from the gas service pipe while the pressure chamber is closed. The tee plug is removed through the service tee adapter and pressure chamber while minimizing gas discharged to atmosphere. The plug hole is preferably reamed through the pressure chamber while the chamber is closed to atmosphere, tapped for a straight fine thread, and a main plug with the fine thread is screwed into the tapped hole while limiting its depth of engagement.

Abstract: A method for recovering puncture repair liquid includes preparing tube, preparing sealing portion, removing, discharging, inserting, and recovering. The tube is to be inserted into a tire from a tire valve mounted to a wheel. The sealing portion is at a part of the tube in a longitudinal direction, has an outer diameter larger than an outer diameter of the tube, and is fittable in the tire valve. The removing removes a valve core from the tire valve of the wheel. The discharging discharges pressurized air filled in the tire from the tire valve. The inserting inserts the tube from the tire valve so as to bring the tube to a liquid surface of the puncture repair liquid. The recovering recovers the puncture repair liquid in the tire via the tube using a residual pressure in the tire by fitting the sealing portion to the tire valve.

Abstract: An apparatus for repairing an existing spill containment manhole operably associated with an underground fuel storage tank. The apparatus includes a containment vessel for containing fuel spilled during filling of the underground fuel storage tank. A major portion of the containment vessel is adapted to be inserted into an existing spill containment manhole. Preferably, the containment vessel includes an upper annular flange that extends over and surrounds a portion of an existing cover rim of an existing spill containment manhole thereby isolating an upper portion of the containment vessel from an upper portion on the existing spill containment manhole when the containment vessel is installed. Optionally, a replacement cover is provided to replace an existing cover of the existing spill containment manhole. The replacement cover may include at least one sealing member that engages the inner surface of the at least one wall of the containment vessel when installed.

Abstract: A valve core is removed from a tire valve 3 of a wheel 2 with a tire 1 where puncture repair liquid 4 has been injected. Pressurized air filled in the tire 1 is discharged via the tire valve 3. A tube 10 is inserted through the tire valve 3 to bring the tube 10 to a liquid surface of the puncture repair liquid 4 while the pressurized air in the tire 1 is being discharged. The puncture repair liquid 4 in the tire 1 is recovered via the tube 10 using a residual pressure in the tire 1. In this manner, the puncture repair liquid can efficiently be recovered without cutting off the tire valve.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to methods of controlling gas flow in etching chambers. The methods generally include splitting a single process gas supply source into multiple inputs of separate process chambers, such that each chamber processes substrates under uniform processing conditions. The method generally includes using a mass flow controller as a reference for calibrating a flow ratio controller. A span correction factor may be determined to account for the difference between the actual flow and the measured flow through the flow ratio controller. The span correction factors may be used to determine corrected set points for each channel of the flow controller using equations provided herein. Furthermore, the set points of the flow ratio controller may be made gas-independent using additional equations provided herein.

Abstract: An automated flowback system allows control and operation of the system from a remote location away from the dangers of high-pressure gases or abrasives traveling at high velocities that cause damage or failure to equipment piping valves. The system provides techniques and mechanical components installed in flowlines in any position without having to cut and thread, weld or fabricate pipe to fit. This system includes an expansion coupling with axial adjusting lengths adequate to compensate for variations between two points. The expansion coupling is secured and installed into position eliminating field cut and threading, welding or fabrication. The system also includes a blast barrel with an installed choke nipple, choke bean or choke insert with a chosen orifice size for multiple chambered ports. The blast barrel retracts between two fixed points without having to dismantle any connections or be removed from the fluid flow.
