Abstract: There is provided a method of and apparatus for, measuring the mass of a gas under pressure using a piezoelectric oscillator. The gas is contained within a pressure vessel (100) having a fixed internal volume (V) and the piezoelectric oscillator (202) is immersed in the gas within the pressure vessel (100). The method comprises: a) utilising said piezoelectric oscillator (202) to measure the density of the gas within the high-pressure vessel (100); b) determining, from the density measurement and from the internal volume (V) of said pressure vessel, the mass of the gas within the pressure vessel (100). By providing such a method, the true contents (i.e. mass) of fluid in a pressure vessel such as a cylinder can be measured directly without the need to compensate for factors such as temperature or compressibility. This allows a determination of mass through direct derivation from the density of the gas in the cylinder, reducing the need for additional sensors or complex calculations to be performed.

Abstract: A fuel supply system includes a fuel gas tank; a temperature detecting portion; a fuel gas discharge flow path; a main stop valve that is provided in the fuel gas discharge flow path; and a control portion. The main stop valve includes an inlet portion and an outlet portion, a main valve that is arranged between the inlet portion and the outlet portion and that opens and closes the fuel gas discharge flow path, a pilot flow path that is provided so as to communicate the inlet portion with the outlet portion, a pilot valve that opens and closes the pilot flow path, and an actuator capable of opening and closing the main valve and the pilot valve at different timings. The control portion opens the pilot valve and closes the main valve when the detected temperature is equal to or lower than a first reference temperature.

Abstract: Appliance pedestal that contains liquid leaks due to condensation, overflow, or system failure originating from the supported liquid filled or handling appliance, provides for multiple methods of discharge of collected liquids, and reduces installation and maintenance requirements and their associated hazards and provides an improved ergonomic operating position for the appliance operator. There is also a system to facilitate the movement of an appliance or pedestal supporting an appliance along a supporting surface. That system includes a chamber located at or proximate to the bottom of the appliance or pedestal having a plurality of openings formed therein. The chamber is pressurized to create a plurality of jets where fluid passes outwardly from the jets toward the supporting surface. The jets raise or float the appliance or the pedestal raising the appliance upwardly off of the supporting surface and allows the easy movement of the appliance along that supporting surface.

Abstract: In a control valve for adjusting a process medium flow of a technical process installation, a housing is provided with an interior to be traversed by a process medium. A valve seat is disposed inside the housing interior. A valve number is provided obstructing or clearing the valve seat wherein a flow cross section of the control valve can be altered according to a relative position between the valve member and the valve seat for adjusting the process medium flow to initiate a pressure change in the process medium flow between an upstream and a downstream duct section. An electrical consumer is provided. A thermoelectric element is coupled to supply electrical power to the electrical consumer. The thermoelectric element is disposed at a position in the housing interior for generating the electrical power resulting from a temperature difference that accompanies a pressure difference at a location of said position of the thermoelectric element.

Abstract: System for determining the flow rate of a fluid and for controlling flow rates. The system provides high resolution with infinite turndown, providing a flow meter which may be used in low flow situations and with fluid additives. The flow rate of an additive fluid is determined in real time with high resolution by providing a novel reciprocating positive-displacement flow meter using magnetically coupled components and a transducer to identify the flow rate of the fluid. A system and method may be incorporated into a flow control system for monitoring the flow rate of a fluid which may be included with an additive delivery system for use with the flowing supply of an additive to be introduced into a flow of untreated fluid in relatively minute quantities.

Abstract: A valve device includes a wire channel through which wires are routed from the inside of a gas tank to the outside of the gas tank, and a hermetic connector in which a sealing member is provided around wire pins that constitute part of the wires is provided in the wire channel. In addition, the wire channel has multiple (two) bent portions formed on the outer side of the hermetic connector. When pulling force acts on the wires from the outside, stress concentration portions are formed in the wires at these bent portions.
