Abstract: An auxiliary dual handle device for attachment to a handle of a floor cleaning appliance having a floor, engaging portion includes an elongated member which has a predetermined length and which is manufactured from a predetermined material and a bore which is longitudinally and axially formed in at least a portion of the elongated member and which is sized and shaped to slidingly engage an exterior surface of the appliance handle. There is a left and a right auxiliary handle, each having a first end portion thereof rigidly secured to a user proximal end portion of the elongated member and laterally offset from one another. The elongated member is secured to the appliance handle with fasteners of clamps. There is also provided a single piece dual handle device which is attachable directly to the floor engaging portion of the floor cleaning appliance.

Abstract: The invention provides a toothbrush having a handle portion defining a longitudinal axis, a head portion coupled to the handle portion having a plurality of bristles extending therefrom, a light source disposed within at least one of the handle portion and the head portion, and a base portion including a suction cup configured to removably adhere to a support surface, wherein the suction cup includes an actuator configured to actuate the light source.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for removing ice from overhead utility power lines which includes a tool having an extendable pole with an ice removing roller having an annular outer channel rotatably supported on the pole. The pole is extendable for enabling a user to place the roller over an ice-laden utility power line while standing on the ground, and then is movable along the power line by the workmen while standing on the ground or walking along a line parallel to the power line for removing ice from the line.

Abstract: A glass cleaning device employs an inner component having a body with an associated first cleaning element and a second movable portion positionable from a first to second position, the second portion associated with a second cleaning element. A support magnet is carried within the body and at least one magnetic element is carried in the second movable portion. An outer component provides a handle for manipulation by a user with a first magnetic element carried within the handle for operable engagement of the support magnetic in the inner component to draw the body into contact with an inner surface of an aquarium wall to be cleaned. A selection magnet carried within the handle allows engagement with at least one magnetic element in the movable portion. Positioning of the selection magnet adjacent the magnetic element actuates the movable portion for operable engagement of the second cleaning element on the inner surface of the aquarium wall.

Abstract: The toothbrush body according to the invention has on its top side a hand-supporting section with at least one longitudinal support strip which extends along the longitudinal axis of a handle part and next to which is located at least one recess which extends laterally from the top side to a bottom side. Abstract: In one embodiment, an ergonomic brush includes a handle grip with finger slots situated between thumb slots and a palm rest extending rearwardly from the finger slots. A bristle base may be adapted to the handle grip, where the bristle base includes a bristle field having a length extending in a direction substantially parallel to a user's hand when engaged in the finger slots.

Abstract: Present invention relates to a slotted toothbrush body and neck. The toothbrush body has an elastomer part with a PP part and adhesion legs. The adhesion legs have surfaces in contact with a toothbrush holder/glass. There are PP bridges forming the toothbrush neck, and an elastomer section supports the bridges forming the toothbrush neck. Teeth are better cleaned, and gingival get less deteriorated by pivotal movement of the head in the front and back direction and right and left direction. Also, the toothbrush can be secured to the toothbrush holder/glass edge without contacting other toothbrushes.

Abstract: An attachable brush for footwear, particularly suited for an umpire to clean dirt from home plate during a baseball game is herein disclosed. The footwear comprises a bristle portion along one (1) side and sized approximately one (1) inch wide and four (4) inches long, with the bristle portions being approximately one (1) inch. The brush body is attached to the footwear by means of a flap made of leather or similar resilient material. The flap is attached to the top of the brush body and is removably attached to the footwear by use of eyelets that would be interlocked with the shoelaces on the footwear. This enables the umpire to slightly lift his foot, allowing the brush to hang down, and sweep it back and forth over the home plate area. Its positioning would not allow it to interfere with walking or other activities when not being used.

Abstract: A human torso scrubbing apparatus including an elongated handle having a grasping portion toward one end thereof. A scrubbing element is secured to a second end of the handle. The grasping portion of the handle is offset at an angle ranging between about 75° and about 115° relative to a portion of the handle extending from the scrubbing element so as to facilitate scrubbing of a human's back while the angular offset of said grasping portion allows said apparatus to freely hang when not in use.

Abstract: A paired set of handles attaching to a board forming a concrete screed to minimize the strain on a person performing concrete finishing work allows for an ergonomic application of downward force applied to the lower end of the handles and application of an upward lifting force by the shape of the grip portion at the upper end of the handles, with the shape and contour of the handles requiring less strain and strength than current screed handles.

Abstract: Handles allow hand tools, implements or other utensils to operate within their arc of natural use, motion and attack without requiring extension, flexion, radial deviation, or ulnar deviation of the wrist from the neutral plane of the forearm. The preferred embodiments further include a grip shaped to increase the effectiveness of the tool and minimize antagonism between muscles and tendons of the wrist, forearm and upper arm, while maximizing the effectiveness of the gripping force delivered to it by the user. Maintaining the wrist and forearm in a neutral position increases a tool user's potential strength by increasing the synergy between large muscles of the forearm and upper arm and shoulders. It also decreases compression of the tendons and nerves in the carpal tunnel and between the wrist and forearm.

Abstract: A brush small in diameter consisting of stiff bristles of 0.014 inch nylon filaments bundled in 50 nylon filaments glued within a plastic shank. Stiff, short 4 mm, flat even ended bristles are equal in length to form a substantially planar cleaning surface. The small diameter allows for improved dental hygiene via clearance in tight areas such as under orthodontic arch wires and other dental prostheses along with maintaining hygiene in normal and healthy oral cavities. The bristles are capable of fluoride and antibacterial mouthrinse transfer to treat sensitivity, decalcification and inflamed or infected gumline areas. The ergonomical handle has an angled neck, over molded soft grips and additional, replaceable heads are stored inside the hollow handle. The head rotates into multiple angles. Primary embodiment is manual, but other embodiments may allow for mechanical applications that include agitating or reciprocating articulation powered by a motor.

Abstract: A hygienic toothbrush comprises a bristle cover movably secured to the elongated body of the toothbrush to protect the bristles of the toothbrush when it is not being used. A storage compartment with a removable lid is provided in the handle of the toothbrush body for storing the cover when not in use.

The plastics do not adhesively or chemically bond to each other. The two differing plastic parts of the toothbrush are mechanically connected, such as by interfitting portions of the two plastic components or by shrinking one plastic component about the other.

Abstract: A hand and arm manipulated scraper for a windshield comprising: a) a blade portion having a windshield contact edge portion and an opposite handle end; b) an elongate handle portion having a blade end portion, attached to the blade portion and an opposite grip end portion to be held with the hand; and, c) an arm brace portion terminating in an arm cover which covers a top side portion of the forearm extending therefrom down and the around the arm and having an inner end portion attaching to the grip end portion of the handle portion beneath the palm of one's hand. When the blade portion is pressed down on the windshield while the grip end portion is grasped beneath the palm of the hand, the wrist is prevented from bending up by downward pressure of the arm cover on the top side portion of the arm.

A method of producing a sanitary hair brush comprises: a) providing at least one curable material, b) injection molding the at least one material into a mold in order to produce a base, a handle, a plurality of bristles or a combination thereof as one single continuous component.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide working tools that provide suction to a working surface and/or dust removal from a working surface. One embodiment of a tool includes a tool support having an upper surface and a sidewall defining a cavity defined by the sidewall and the upper surface. The tool includes a base attached to the upper surface of the tool support and a vacuum attachment structure attached to the base. The attachment structure includes a connector member having an opening in a first end for releasable attachment to a vacuum source.

Abstract: A toothbrush with a bristled head and a handle that includes a pivotable stand. The stand is movable between a collapsed position where an interior surface of the stand is proximate an outer wall of the handle, and an extended position where the stand extends outwardly away from the outer wall and at an angle thereto. This movement is effected by contacting a small flange or a lever on the stand that extends slightly outwardly from the handle. Preferably, the stand is U-shaped and is configured to be received in a complementary cavity in the front wall of the handle. When in the extended position, the legs of the stand together with the end of the handle may be placed in contact with a horizontal surface thereby causing the brush to be oriented in a head-down position with the bristles retained a distance above the surface so that they can drip-dry.

The handle section includes a proximal segment, a distal segment coupled to the head section, and a recess segment positioned between the proximal segment and the distal segment. The recess segment includes a recess having a first sidewall and an opposite second sidewall. The recess includes a center point between the first sidewall and the second sidewall. The proximal segment extends from a free end of the handle section to the center point and the distal segment extends from the center point to the head section. The weight of the proximal segment of the handle section balances the combined weight of the distal segment of the handle section and head section when the recess is placed on a dividing wall of a double sink.

Abstract: This present idea improves the organization, convenience, and sanitary conditions of conventional portable tooth brushes by equipping it with an additional storage room for toothpaste, dental floss, and proxabrush, which is partitioned by separate walls for each appliance with a one-touch lid for an easier access. Additionally, the construction of the lid allows the dental appliances to naturally dry off while stored.

Abstract: A hand tool adapted to mechanically remove materials such as ice, frost, and/or snow from surfaces such as automobile window glass comprises a longitudinally-extending handle having a front end and a rear end, a scraper disposed adjacent the front end of the handle, a rear grip disposed adjacent the rear end of the handle, and a front grip disposed adjacent the front end of the handle. The rear grip is adapted to facilitate a user applying force to the scraper in a direction generally parallel to the length of the handle to move the scraper along a surface to be scraped, and the front grip is adapted to facilitate a user applying force to the scraper in a direction generally perpendicular to the length of the handle to urge the scraper against the surface to be scraped.

Abstract: A handle arrangement on a suction hose equipped for spray extraction has a bushing non-rotatably attached to one end of the hose, and is inserted in a handle tube and axially fixed therein such that it can rotate in the tube. An elastic liquid line is guided outwards from the hose and the inner bushing in a radial direction through a wall opening of the handle tube and into the cavity of a handle part. The handle part is firmly connected at both ends to the handle tube. The liquid line is fixed so as to form a length reserve loop in the cavity. A receiving space is provided on the inner bushing, into which the liquid line from the length reserve loop is shifted when relative rotations take place between the hose and the handle tube.

Abstract: A grip for a graspable item having a body and a handle connected to and extending outwardly away from the body. The grip includes a hollow core configured to slide onto the handle, and a hollow sleeve having a plurality of outwardly extending ribs disposed on the external surface of the sleeve. The sleeve is configured to slide onto the exterior of the core such that the core and the sleeve define a cavity therebetween. The grip further includes a quantity of a gel disposed within the cavity. The ends of the sleeve are sealed against the corresponding ends of the core to retain the gel within the cavity, and the gel allows the sleeve to deform to conform to the shape of a user's hand when the handle of the graspable item is grasped by the user.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing elongate wooden handles for floor mops and the like comprises (a) splitting a green bamboo cane lengthwise and then spreading it into the shape of a sheet, (b) planing both surfaces of the sheet to give it a substantially uniform thickness, (c) cutting the bamboo sheet into an elongate section of selected width, (d) drying that bamboo section, (e) providing an assembly comprising a pair of dowels, at least one elongate core member, said bamboo sections and an adhesive, with the bamboo section wrapped around the dowels and the core member and the adhesive disposed between the bamboo section and the dowels and core member, (f) heating that assembly under pressure so the adhesive will bond the dowels and core member to the surrounding bamboo section and thereby form an elongate pole, and (g) turning the elongate pole to a selected outer diameter.

Abstract: A music-playing toothbrush having a hollow handle housing containing suitable solid state electronic components for selectively playing a musical tune with improved sound quality. The sound quality is expressly addressed in the handle design with an interior sealed speaker enclosure configured to direct the sound toward the listener with little internal leakage and with an undulating violin-like cavity shape that suppresses internal standing waves. Moreover, the handle provides a relatively large, relatively flat, substantially uninterrupted surface for receiving attractive and motivational graphics such as licensed cartoon characters, which may be compatible with the musical selection.

Abstract: A water-wiping apparatus for wiping standing water from a curved surface has a flexible panel of a first height, with an upper long edge and a lower long edge, a soft, flexible handle attached along the upper long edge, and a lip formed along the lower edge, extending to one side of the flexible panel and ending in a sharp line at the end away from the flexible panel. The handle has a series of reduced area regions serving as a grip area and also serving to facilitate bending of the water wiper blade to conform to surface curvature.

A tube (7) which fits into said shaft (5) is screw jointed onto an outer bottom of a handle (3); and a projection (9), corresponding to said groove (6) is disposed on a bottom of said tube (7). Said projection (9) comprises pluralities of slots (8), disposed on a surface thereof; and a tapered surface (10) for guiding said tube (7) into the shaft (5) is disposed on an outer bottom of said projection (9). By coupling the projection (9) and groove (6), said tube (7) is partially fitted into the shaft (5) firmly and allowed to rotate freely therein.

Abstract: The invention relates to a device for dental and/or oral care, especially a tooth brush, comprising a preferably rod-shaped tool support to which a cleaning tool, especially a bristle field, can be fastened. The tool support is configured as a composite body that comprises an enveloping body from a first material, preferably plastic material, and a functional body from a second material, preferably metal, which is embedded in the enveloping body. The dental and/or oral care device is characterized in that the functional body is configured in at least some sections thereof as a trelliswork girder frame that has longitudinal girders substantially extending in the longitudinal direction of the tool support and a plurality of cross-girders. The enveloping body is especially transparent so that the functional body is visible through the enveloping body.

Abstract: A handle for a brush has a handle body, multiple embossments and a protective layer. The handle body has two sides. The embossments are formed respectively on the sides of the gripped portion. The protective layer is transparent and is mounted on the gripped portion to cover at least one of the sides of the gripped portion. Abstract: An ornamental design of a make-up brush with a replaceable brush head includes a handle portion having an elongated central axis and a snap fastener. Abstract: A modular trowel handle device comprises a handle section to provide a handle interface for a user of the trowel handle and a post extending from the handle section. A mounting surface is coupled to the post and extends generally parallel to the handle section. The mounting surface includes a plurality of fasteners extending therefrom or formed therein. A trowel blade receiving plate includes engaging structure configured to engage a connector of a trowel blade and a plurality of corresponding fasteners extending therefrom or formed therein. The trowel blade receiving plate is coupled to the mounting surface by the fasteners and is formed from a different material than the mounting surface.
