Abstract: The invention relates to a wheel (1), particularly a partially light-metal wheel and/or a light-metal wheel for motor vehicles, essentially comprising a rim (2) and a wheel spider (3), wherein the wheel spider (3) is made of a carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic. According to the invention, the wheel (1) has a clamping ring (4). The wheel spider (3) can be fastened to the rim (2) by means of the clamping ring (4).
Abstract: A take apart vehicle wheel assembly includes at least a first, a second and a third wheel part operatively connected together to form the take apart vehicle wheel assembly. A first one of the first, second and third wheel parts is provided with a plurality of first stud receiving holes spaced circumferentially therearound in a first unevenly spaced circumferential pattern such that each of the first stud receiving holes is spaced apart from a next adjacent first stud receiving hole by a different angular spacing. A second one of the first, second and third wheel parts is provided with a plurality of second stud receiving holes spaced circumferentially therearound in unevenly spaced circumferential pattern which corresponds to the first unevenly spaced circumferential pattern of the first stud receiving holes to enable stud bolts and nuts to be used to releasably connect the first one and the second one of the first, second and third wheel parts together.

Abstract: A wheel and tire assembly with a solid rubber tire for use on heavy construction equipment. The assembly comprises a mounting disc, a large diameter rim, having a cylindrical surface, rigidly affixed to the mounting disc and having actually opposed peripheral sides. Cross rib means are rigidly fastened to and laterally extending across the cylindrical surface. There are side support means rigidly affixed to and radially projecting from each peripheral side of the cylindrical rim surfaces. A base layer of even thickness of substantially flat rubber is cemented to the cylindrical surface interposed between the cross ribs and the side supports. Multiple additional layers of even thickness substantially flat sheet rubber are bonded to the base layer and each succeeding additional layer of even thickness substantially flat sheet rubber is bonded to the preceding additional layer until a low profile solid rubber tire is obtained, which tire is bonded directly to the large diameter rim.
Abstract: A wheel and tire assembly for a vehicle, including a solid rubber tire, and a wheel body, one or both edges of which are provided with a circumferential groove for receiving a retaining ring for the solid tire. In order to be able to repeatedly mount the solid tire with a sufficiently reliable seating, there is inventively proposed to provided the solid tire with a base having a width such that when the retaining ring is omitted, the tire extends slightly into the region which would otherwise be occupied by the retaining ring. Accordingly, when the retaining ring is inserted, the base of the tire must be slightly elastically deformed, thus assuring a secure seating of the tire on a wheel rim therewith.
Abstract: The present invention provides a device for assembling tools on a wheel. Stop pins fixed to the wheel cooperate with radial wedges to maintain tool-bearing sectors in a disc formation on the wheel. The pins and the radial wedges are located between adjacent sectors alternatively, with one wedge being positioned between two adjacent faces or ends of adjacent sectors to urge the other ends of the sectors into engagement with two of the pins.
