Abstract: According to the present invention, an electrolyte membrane having recesses and projections on the surface thereof is obtained. In addition, a membrane-electrode assembly comprising the electrolyte membrane, in which the effective contact area between the electrolyte membrane surface and an electrode catalyst layer is increased, is obtained. An electrolyte membrane 1 which comprises a fluorine-based electrolyte is heated and pressed with the use of plates 10a and 10b each having recesses and projections 11 on the surface thereof such that recesses and projections 2a and 2b are formed on the surface of the electrolyte membrane 1. Thereafter, the electrolyte membrane 1 is subjected to a treatment for imparting ion exchange properties to an electrolyte polymer, such as hydrolysis, such that an electrolyte membrane 3 having recesses and projections on the surface thereof is obtained.

Abstract: A pressure sensitive adhesive (PSA) is used to attach a plurality of wedge-shaped glass filter segments on a first side to a hub during the color ring build portion of the color wheel fabrication process. A strong adhesive, such as epoxy, is then used to adhere a second side of the filter segments directly to a turning surface of a motor, completing the color wheel fabrication. The epoxy is cured if necessary. The pressure sensitive adhesive can temporarily align the plurality of color filter segments in an alignment. The adhesive between the filter segments and the turning surface can then permanently bond the color filter segments in the alignment.

Abstract: In an ultrasonic transducer array, a plurality of vibrators arranged in an array is bonded to a base plate by bond material. The bond material bonds the bottom of the each vibrator to the base plate in a manner to surround lower part of the side face of the vibrator. A filling material is filled in between the vibrators. The filling material has a multi-layer structure of different rigidity. In a double layer structure of the filling material, it is preferable that thickness ratio of layer of filling material at the base plate side (lower side) to the other layer of the filling material is 1:1 to 1:3. Preferably, a beam is provided for connecting the side faces of the adjacent vibrators.

Abstract: Disclosed is a multilayer film for a strain-free laminate that is used for flexible TFT substrates or the like. Also disclosed are a laminate obtained by arranging such a multilayer film on a substrate made of an inorganic material, and a method for producing such a laminate. Specifically disclosed is a multilayer film wherein an adhesive resin layer that can be adhered to inorganic materials is arranged on a base film made of a resin. This multilayer film has a first average thermal expansion coefficient at temperatures from 60° C. to 80° C. measured during a first raise of the temperature of the multilayer film from 30° C. to 130° C. by heating the multilayer film, which first average thermal expansion coefficient is larger by 30 to 400 ppm/° C. than a second average thermal expansion coefficient measured at temperatures from 60 to 80° C. during a second raise of the temperature from 30° C. to 130° C. after cooling the multilayer film from 130° C. to 30° C. subsequent to the first raise.
