  • Publication number: 20130168005
Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to systems, methods, devices, and computer-readable media for forming a fiber panel. A system may include a feed section for unrolling a round bale of material. The system may further include a compression section for receiving material from the unrolled bale of material. The compression section may include a press configured to apply a force to the material and a plurality of pistons to apply another force to the material. Additionally, the system may include an adjustable cutting section including a saw and configured to cut the material to form a panel having a desired length.

  • Patent number: 7527084
Abstract: An apparatus for affixing glue strips to both the top and bottom sides of folded, yet-to-be assembled cardboard containers. The apparatus, which is loaded prior to use with a wide roll of release coated paper, slices it into two strips. Each strip is then cut into many short strips of the desired length and glue applied to these short strips just prior to their being placed on folded containers. The release coated paper than forms a protective cover for the glue until the containers are used. The use of the release coated paper not only is much cheaper than pre-glued paper but also eliminates problems associated with storing and handling narrow pre-glued paper strips.

  • Patent number: 6145561
Abstract: A tape processing device has a feed device, a cutter assembly, and a coating device. The feed device feeds a tape having a layer of an adhesive. The cutter assembly has at least one cutting blade and cuts the tape. The coating device applies an adhesion-preventing liquid on the at least one cutting blade of the cutter assembly to thereby prevent any of the tape and the adhesive of the tape from adhering to the at least one cutting blade of the cutter assembly.

  • Patent number: 5162061
Abstract: The device of the invention for introducing liquid composition into the pipes of corrugated cardboard sheets comprises at least one guide bar (3) having a guiding slot (4) for the top edges of the sheets being conveyed below the guide bar. Knives (8) are provided near the bottom edges of the slot. To cut loose narrow top edge areas of the exterior walls of the corrugated cardboard sheets from the adjacent pipe walls the edge areas constituting seals against the side walls of the slot exteriorly of the knives. Injector nozzles (13) open into the slot bottom for injecting composition into the pipes of the corrugated cardboard sheets. The vertical distance between the bottom of the guide bar slot and the conveyor is adjustable. The injectors are connected into a composition circulation circuit.

  • Patent number: 4689107
Abstract: Wallboard tape and compound are simultaneously dispensed through an applicator which is provided with a pressurized reservoir which acts as a fluid capacitor to ensure an even application of compound to the tape, even under intermittent and uneven tape application rates. Applicator nozzles are provided for applying the tape and compound to flat surfaces as well as to corner joints. Compound is wiped from the edges of the tape and the remaining compound is subsequently spread laterally to these wiped edge areas so that no excess compound is extruded from under the tape, thereby avoiding subsequent wiping and clean-up procedures.
