A resistance weldment may reside at the attachment between the barrier component and the first fin. The first fin may be integral with the first beam portion. The first frame rail and the first fin may comprise a single roll form or a single extrusion.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an extruded rubber or plastic strip for adding it to the edges of textile and rubber vehicle mats with the purpose of keeping dust and grime inside of the mat, diminishing contamination of the vehicle's floor, and preventing the mat from slipping and obstructing pedal use, without need of replacing the whole mat. This strip is flexible enough to adapt to the shape of many rubber and textile vehicle mats. It has a slit in which the edge of the mat can be inserted to mount the accessory to the mat and an internal cavity, adjacent to the slit and higher than the slit, for imprisoning the edge of the mat and ensuring a firm grip. The exterior side is higher than the interior side, so that, once applied, the accessory stops the water, dust, or grime from exiting the mat.

Abstract: A wire drawing tightness controller for an easily detachable and foldable screen, comprising: a connecting member, a wire drawing control device, a first connecting unit and a second connecting unit, wherein the connecting member is provided on a window frame, the wire drawing control device is provided with at least a control unit, and the first connecting unit and the second connecting unit are arranged between the connecting member and the wire drawing control device. By means of the arrangement of the first connecting unit and the second connecting unit, the wire drawing control device can be conveniently connected to the connecting member, and can also be easily separated from the connecting member, thereby enhancing the convenience of assembling a foldable screen.

The base is provided with a longitudinal recess for collection of liquid. The longitudinal recess is disposed essentially parallel to an upper surface of the base. The base is further provided with a longitudinal trough disposed below the longitudinal recess. The longitudinal recess is disposed with one or more first apertures for drainage of liquid into the longitudinal trough. The longitudinal trough is provided with one or more second apertures for drainage of liquid to the atmosphere. The cabinet formed form a single continuous sheet of material having fold lines thereon.

Abstract: A wind deflector for a vehicle roof having a displaceable cover element. The wind deflector can have an unfoldable deflector element made of a flat flexible material and whose lower edge portion can be fastened to a vehicle-mounted base via a lower edge strip and whose upper edge portion is fastened to a pivotable deploying bow via an upper edge strip. The lower edge strip and the vehicle-mounted base and/or the upper edge strip and the deploying bow can form a respective fastening system. The fastening system may have a fixing rib on one side and an arrangement of tabs attached to the fixing rib on the other side, the arrangement of tabs being formed by locking tabs and support tabs alternating along the fixing rib, the locking tabs and the support tabs being in contact with the fixing rib on sides facing away from each other.

Abstract: A ceiling panel according to the present invention has opposed translucent membranes secured in a tensioned state across a perimeter frame. The frame includes frame members that are designed to oppose inward bowing of the perimeter frame caused by the tensioned membranes. The frame members have a side profile shaped to conceal a grid support network with the lower translucent member extending across and about a lower edge of the perimeter frame. The invention also includes a modified structure for supporting of translucent panels below a grid network.

Abstract: Products and devices are described for displaying a visible marker on a screen. Some embodiments disclose using different weave patterns and/or density patterns to create the visible marker. Other embodiments disclose using different colors of thread to create the visible marker. The present disclosure also describes methods for manufacturing or displaying the visible marker on the screen.

Abstract: A gazebo screen installation system is disclosed that is operable to allow screen frame assemblies to be installed in gazebos. The system includes a gazebo screen frame having a wedge portion and a trim portion. The trim portion includes a mounting rib extending upwardly from an upper surface of the trim portion and the wedge portion extends downwardly from said trim portion. A backing wedge strip is included having an angled surface and a mounting surface. The angled surface is formed in relation to the mounting surface such that a right angle forming angle is created in relation to a screen material when the backing wedge strip is connected with a vertical support member of a gazebo.

Abstract: A system for mounting a secondary panel within a window frame of an existing window. The system includes a rigid panel, an elongated deformable bulb, and an elongated carrier. The bulb has a resilient, rounded portion and a base section with at least one tongue extending from the base section. The carrier is configured to receive at least a portion of an edge of the panel within a panel gap and to receive, between opposing resilient prongs, the tongue of the bulb. The resilient prongs are configured to diverge to allow a distal end of the tongue to pass between the resilient prongs. Also disclosed is a system for mounting a flexible sheet within a window frame of an existing window.

Abstract: An access door unit includes a door, doorway structure, and elements for pivotally attaching the door to the doorway structure. The doorway structure has an outer perimeter frame and base affixed thereon. The base has support members extending in transverse relation to and outwardly fore and aft from the outer perimeter frame and adapted to rest on a generally level support surface such that the outer perimeter frame extends upright from the base enabling the doorway structure to assume a free-standing, self-supporting orientation on the support surface. The outer perimeter frame of the doorway structure defines a passage large enough to fit the door and permit entry or exit through the passage when the door is opened. A closure panel of the door may be full or half length in accordance with the different uses being made of the access door unit.

Abstract: The invention relates to a screen tensioning system having a mesh screen and a U-shaped channel that engages an edge of the mesh screen. A clamp engages the U-shaped channel and the mesh screen. A frame having a substantially H-shaped cross section, wherein parallel side members converge to define a longitudinal slot permit the mesh screen to extend through the longitudinal slot, yet the clamp remains secured within the frame. A plurality of fasteners secure the clamp to the frame and are tightened to apply varying degrees of local tension to the screen. Preferably, no fasteners are used to secure the screen to the clamp.

Abstract: This invention relates to a retention system for a pliable sheet comprising a support comprising a channel having an opening, a spline for capturing a portion of the pliable sheet between itself and the channel, and an attachment securable with respect to the support so as extend across at least a portion of the opening to the channel and prevent escape of the spline therefrom. An associated frame assembly is also disclosed.

Abstract: A safety screen frame has four frames joined together to form a fall resistant window screen to prevent accidental falling. Each frame has an upper frame portion and a lower frame portion integrally formed out of aluminum. A hinge channel runs longitudinally along a top portion of the upper frame portion and allows the upper frame portion to rotate around an integrally formed pivot slot that is longitudinally disposed at the vertex between the upper and lower frame portions. A spline track holds weather strip materials and spring detents. A plurality of compression ridges are disposed along the inside facing surfaces of the upper and lower frame portions that hold a screen when the upper frame is rotated and compressed against the lower frame. The screen is made of a high strength material such as stainless steel. Each frame is mitered and welded together to form a window screen.

The latch release is biased to prevent the locking pin from moving from the locked position in the absence of an external force applied to the latch release, the locking pin being movable between the locked position and an unlocked position when the external force is applied to the latch release.

Abstract: A decorative fireplace screen for a fireplace having a fireplace opening, and a method of manufacture therefor are disclosed. Decorative screens of the invention may also be for other purposes. The fireplace screen includes a planar main member, a decorative design applied to the front surface of the main member, a substantially clear adhesive layer over the decorative design, a design-enhancing mosaic of shattered-glass pieces adhered to the adhesive layer and substantially covering the decorative design, and grout between the shattered class pieces and securing them in place. Certain preferred embodiments are a support member along the lower edge, a frame, a foam board on the back surface of the main member to facilitate air-blocking of the fireplace. Preferred decorative features are glitter selectively applied over the design and use of a substantially transparent material as the main member.

The rear surface of the canvas comprises marking means defined thereon for marking out the location of said frame means in use. It uses profiles especially designed and made up of plastic material (polyamide) with fiberglass, thus allowing mass production and easy handling. The splines are forced into the cavities to a second position in which the perimeter of the screen is pinched between the splines and the longitudinal members. A radius nose of the splines is retained in a channel of the longitudinal members securing the screen without tearing it when under load.

A screen has an attachment region through the slot and within the chamber. The leg of each clip is in contact with the attachment region of the screen. Abstract: A modular window unit for an aircraft or other vehicle is disclosed. The modular window unit includes a shade assembly having a shade, a fixed shade rail, and a removable shade rail. The shade rail assembliy engages a frame. An inner and outer lens also engage the frame or elements engaged with the frame. A drive system, either electric or manual, moves the shade between an opened and closed position. The drive system includes a drive sprocket, a metal link chain, and an idler sprocket. Insulation may be provided on one or more elements of the modular window unit to help keep down noise and vibration.

Abstract: A system for securing a truck bed cover includes a pair of vertical side rails clamped to the bed railing of a pickup truck. A first one of a pair of horizontal side rails is attached along the front side of the truck bed and the second one of the pair of horizontal side rails is attachable via a latching mechanism along the rear. The cover is attached along respective front and rear edges to each of the horizontal side rails, and is attachable along respective side edges to the vertical side rails, preferably, using a hook-and-loop fastener. Tensioning devices are employed to keep the cover taut and even on both sides.

Abstract: An insect screen of increased invisibility can be created by using small wire diameter elements and/or increasing the mesh density of the screen. The combination of small wire diameter and increased mesh density provide a screen with a higher Dalquist Rating that becomes invisible at closer distances. A “sweet spot” exists at which a screen with a combination high mesh density and small wire diameter is less visible, while still providing the strength, durability, and quality desired. Further, screens with properties in proximity to this sweet spot also provide a marked increase in invisibility.

Abstract: A window dressing system for installation within a window structure is disclosed. The window dressing system has at least one dressing element. The dressing element includes a frame structure and engagement members outwardly extendable from the frame structure and adapted to forcibly engage a surface of the window structure to maintain the dressing element fixed within the window structure. The engagement members on the frame are arranged in manner that several dressing elements may be modularly attached together. The engagement members may be replaced by linking members when attaching adjacent dressing systems together. A method for installing such a window dressing system is also disclosed.

The screen includes covers (54) which are configured to be clipped to the frame members (3) and which each have a second holding channel (60) formed therein. The screen further includes a sealing assembly comprising first sealing members (51) and second sealing members (61).

Abstract: Provided herein is a non-stratified, or homogeneous, non-woven composite having (a) strength-imparting fibers of a relatively high denier and (b) binder fibers of a lower denier that adhere the composite together and that form a smooth, stiff skin on the outer surfaces of the composite. In one instance, the strength-imparting fibers are staple fibers and the binder fibers are bicomponent fibers having a low melt component. In a variation, the composite also contains a small percentage by weight (that is, less than 20%) of flame retardant fibers that impart flame resistant properties to the composite. Preferably, all of the fibers are comprised of the same polymeric material (e.g., polyester), so that the composite is recyclable. The resulting composite exhibits excellent flame retardance, strength, and stiffness, as well as having a smooth surface for attachment of a decorative fabric or other material. A process for manufacturing such composites is also provided.

Abstract: A “pop up” portable display apparatus includes a flexible frame and a tensioned fabric having a perimeter hem, such that the tensioned fabric is maintained by the flexible frame and integrated with the perimeter hem in order for the tensioned fabric to expand with the flexible frame to produce a display area and reduce with the flexible frame for ease of transport.
