Abstract: An invertible handbag. The invertible handbag has a handbag compartment defined by four sides, a handbag roof, and a handbag floor; a handbag roof mouth bordered by a handbag roof mouth closure in the handbag root and a handbag floor mouth bordered by a handbag floor mouth closure in the handbag floor. A strap is swivelably attached to strap bridges at opposite ends of the invertible handbag. Method steps are taught wherein the handbag closures may be closed, the invertible handbag inverted, and then the uppermost closure and mouth opened, to permit seeing and removing items which were formerly lost at the bottom of the handbag compartment. Means is disclosed to hold the closures closed. Optional sidebags may be mounted to the handbag sides, each including a sidebag roof mouth closure and a sidebag floor mouth closure.

Abstract: An apparatus to stack a first stackable luggage to a second stackable luggage, the second stackable luggage having a male connector device and the first stackable luggage having a female connector device. The second stackable luggage may be substantially a mirror of the first stackable luggage. The first stackable luggage may include a front 360° rotatable and spinnable wheel, and the first stackable luggage may include a rotatable back wheel. The first stackable luggage may include a releasable and biased strap, and the first stackable luggage may include a first wheel depression for the front wheel in the top surface of the first stackable luggage. The first stackable luggage may include a second wheel depression for the back wheel in the top surface of the first stackable luggage, and the male connector device magnetically may connect to the female connector device.

Abstract: A remote cinching device 14 comprising a resiliency mechanism 15 and 16, a force-transferring device 17, and a cinching device 28, 30, 32 enhances luggage, totes, briefs, and other transport and/or storage devices. The resiliency mechanism biases the luggage in an open condition, while the cinching device, located remotely from the areas undergoing the highest levels of expansion force (the top and bottom ends of an upright luggage case, for example), allows effective, easy, and visually pleasing compression of the case once it has been closed. The cinch is carried by force-transferring structures 17, by which the act of cinching is made even more efficient.

Abstract: An enhanced structure for the base with roller and belt of hardshell zipper case is provided, including a hardshell zipper case main body, a plurality of hidden roller units, a retractable belt unit, and an auxiliary wheel set. The hidden roller units and the retractable belt unit are placed inside the roller housing trench and the belt housing trench located at the bottom of the hardshell zipper case main body. When the hidden roller units are not in use, the roller units are entirely hidden inside the roller housing trench so that the roller unit will not be damaged due to careless handling. To move the hardshell zipper case, the outer rim of the roller units are exposed outside of the surface of the roller housing trench so that the roller units can roll along when moved. The belt of retractable belt unit can be easily pulled out from one end of the bottom of the hardshell zipper case.

Abstract: An article securement system for attaching an article to another article, such as article of luggage to another article of luggage. The article securement system includes a cord, such as an elastic cord, that is inserted through a handle. A cord locking mechanism is mounted on the cord as well. A second handle may be mounted on the cord as well with the cord locking mechanism between the two handles. In use, the cord is secured to a first attachment point on the first article, such as on a luggage handle. The cord and handle are pulled over the second article and engages over a second attachment point on the first article, such as an extendible handle. The cord is then through the handle until the tension is sufficient on the cord to secure the second article. The cord locking mechanism is then used to lock the cord from movement relative to the handle.

Abstract: A connector with a flexible arrangement for attaching one or more small or mid-sized bags is described. The connector provides a shoulder strap or handle that allows the user to conveniently carry the assemblage. The connector may include slotted top and bottom rails vertically displaced from each other, where mounting tabs on the small bags may be threaded through the slots to attach a bag to the connector. Slotted sheets of material may be placed between a top and bottom rail, or the entire connector may be made of one or more sheets of fabric or other flexible material. Again the mounting tabs may be threaded through the slots to secure the bags. The vertical edges of the sheets may be folded and sewn of bonded to better form supports for the connector, and combinations of rails, vertical supports and sheets of fabric of other such materials may be used.

Abstract: Apparatuses convertible between at least a storage container in a first configuration and an activity mat in a second configuration. One apparatus includes a circular lid, a circular base, and at least one zipper pull that zips the lid and base to a wall. When zippered, the apparatus has a generally cylindrical shape. A carrying handle is provided on the lid. When unzippered, the apparatus becomes an activity mat and lies flat. Another apparatus includes two sides, a base, a flap, and at least one zipper pull that zips the sides to the flap. The sides resemble the outline of a car, such that the apparatus when zipped up resembles a car and when unzipped becomes an activity mat and lies flat. Backpack straps on the back allow the apparatus to be worn as a backpack.

Abstract: A luggage holder for holding a carrying case or valise stacked upon a wheeled case having a telescoping handle includes a pair of spaced elastic cords extending from a fastener plate attachable to the wheeled carrying case. A medial bridging element connects the cords and is slidably adjustable along the length of the cords to enhance the placement of appropriate retention forces on a case stacked upon the wheeled carrying case and positioned against a telescoping handle. An adjustable spacing plate is provided to fit over the telescoping handle and includes frictional material on one side to insure retention of the spacing plate and the assembly with the telescoping handle.

Abstract: A steerable carriage apparatus for manually transporting a payload across a surface, the apparatus including a frame having a first end portion and a second end portion, further included is a plurality of arms each having a pivotal attachment to the first end portion. Wherein each pivotal attachment having a pivotal axis that is at an obtuse angle in relation to the surface, further each pivotal attachment is operational to allow a pivotal movement about each pivotal axis of each arm in relation to the first end portion. Also included in the apparatus is a plurality of first rotating elements that are each rotationally attached to each of the arms, each of the plurality of first rotating elements forming a contact on the surface, wherein each obtuse angle is adjacent to each contact on the surface, also each of the first rotating elements is operational to be steerable.

Abstract: A shoe storage insert for suitcases and the like containers within which shoes and other such footwear items are packed and protectively stored for travel purposes is provided. The insert may be designed to have the same general shape as the luggage within which it is to be used, and of a size which fits conveniently within the storage cavity of any standard size or custom luggage. The insert may have two panels each containing one or more pockets in which shoes can be placed. The pouches are arranged on alternating levels of each insert panel so that once the insert is closed it can lay flat within any standard suitcase.

Abstract: A combined diaper bag and purse includes a diaper bag with a plurality of bottle-holding pouches formed at opposed lateral faces of the diaper bag, and a purse conjoining directly to an anterior face of the diaper bag and oppositely situated from a posterior face of the diaper bag. The apparatus further includes a mechanism for detaching the purse from the anterior face of the diaper bag, a primary harness directly anchored to a proximal face of the diaper bag, and a plurality of auxiliary harnesses is directly coupled to the posterior face of the diaper bag. The apparatus further includes a mechanism for independently and slidably biasing each one of the auxiliary harnesses along a linear and horizontal path extending along the posterior face of the diaper bag.

Abstract: A garment organizing system, assembly, and method enables users to organize garmentry for travel. The basic assembly comprises a support panel, a restraint panel, a panel attachment mechanism for removably attaching each restraint panel to a first edge of a respective support panel, and a panel linking mechanism for linking each support panel to an adjacent support panel. The support panels support garmentry placed thereupon. Each restraint panel is fixedly attached to a second edge of a respective support panel, and the restraint panels selectively restrain garmentry supported by the support panels via said panel attachment mechanism. The panel linking mechanism enables the user to link and stack a series of interconnectable garment restraint assemblies for organizing the supported and restrained garmentry for travel.

Abstract: A garment organizing system, assembly, and method enables users to organize garmentry for travel. The basic assembly comprises a support panel, a pair of restraint bindings, a series of spaced binding attachment structures for attaching each restraint binding to the support panel at spaced intervals, and an optional panel linking mechanism for linking the first support panel to an adjacent support panel. The support panels support garmentry placed thereupon. Each restraint binding is fixedly attached to a first edge of the first respective support panel, and the restraint bindings restrain garmentry supported by the support panels intermediate the periodically spaced binding attachment structures. The panel linking mechanism enables the user to fold a series of interconnectable garment restraint assemblies into a back-to-back garment restraint assembly arrangement for travel.

Abstract: Carriers for flat objects such as sheet music are described which supplement the capacity of musical instrument cases having at least one handle. An adjustable hanger strap or straps are provided so that the carrier can be used on cases having different sizes, shapes and thicknesses. The case handle fits through one of a plurality of elongated slots on the hangar strap of the carrier with the carrier positioned against the case. The particular slot used depends on the shape and size of the case. The carrier has one or more compartments for storing articles placed therein, with the carrier draping over one of the sides while being transported about as a single unit by virtue of the case carry handle. Loops engaging the strap are also provided to provide stability.

Abstract: The invention provides an apparatus for constraining an object against an article of luggage and related luggage systems. In one embodiment, the invention includes an elongate member; a first loop member located at a first end of the elongate member; and a second loop member located at a second end of the elongate member, wherein the first loop member is adapted for non-fixed attachment to a rigid, elongated handle of an article of luggage and the second loop member is adapted for non-fixed attachment to a handle of the article of luggage, such that when the first loop member is attached to the rigid, elongated handle and the second loop member is attached to the handle, the elongate member is operable to constrain an object against the article of luggage and the rigid, elongated handle.

Abstract: A system for releasably attaching an article of luggage such as a first carry bag, with or without a pair of upright support members, to a second carry bag system or wheeled luggage cart having at least a pair of upright stationary support members is disclosed in which a handle is resiliently attached to the first carry bag, and a device is provided for resiliently attaching the handle to the first carry bag in a manner to permit rotation of the handle between a first storage position between a pair of upright support members of the second carry bag system and a second interference position with the upright support members of the second carry bag system to thereby attach the first carry bag to the upright support members of the second carry bag system. The handle is preferably in the form of a zippered pouch having a planar plate attached thereto for engagement with the upright support members.

Abstract: An interlocking case system includes a base case having a luggage receptacle and an overlying lid that together form a luggage compartment. One or more swivel wheels are located in proximity to one end of the base case and at least one non-swivel wheel is located at the other end. An upper case is configured to interlock with, and be supported by, the base case when the base case is supported by the first and second swivel wheels and the at least one non-swivel wheel. The case system may be towed using a flexible towing strap coupled to the base case.

Abstract: Portable container support systems are disclosed which include at least one re-closable enclosure which is operable to be coupled to the exterior of a portable container, and which has an integral support coupling adapted to receive supports used for supporting the portable container in a preferred orientation, such as a nearly vertical position for use as a rack for assembled articles. Various re-closable enclosures are disclosed which enable convenient deployment of support legs while providing protection for the supports when stowed for transport. The system may be used with a wide variety of portable containers, such as pool cue cases, golf bags, equipment bags, etc.

The first luggage article includes a casing, at least one rolling wheel, a retractable handle, at least one strip and at least one first fastener. The at least one strip includes a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion is secured to the casing. The at least one first fastener is disposed on the second end portion of the at least one strip. The second luggage article includes at least one second fastener. The second luggage article is configured to be removably secured to the casing of the first luggage article by means of the at least one strip, such that the at least one second fastener is secured to the at least one first fastener.

Abstract: A soft-side portable animal carrier has an interior vertical partition wall to form separate compartments for transporting two small pets and each compartment has a releasable opening at the top and an end wall that can be opened completely to allow the animal easy egress. In an alternative configuration, each compartment has an interior partition wall and the carrier has a continuous zipper around its center to permit the compartments to be separated for individual use.

Abstract: An improved storage bag has a retaining member disposed on an inside surface of a first side wall of a main bag. The retaining member allows supplemental bag to hang on an outside wall of the main bag. An existing storage bag can have a bracket configured to extend partially along an inside portion of a side wall of the briefcase. The bracket has a hook-portion to extend out of the top of the briefcase and partially along the outside portion of the side wall of the briefcase and a retaining member. This configuration also allows a supplemental bag to be attached to the retaining member to hang along an outside wall of the bag.

Abstract: A backpack assembly includes a luggage case having a first attachment interface and a backpack having a second attachment interface. The second attachment interface is configured to be mated with the first attachment interface to removably attach the backpack to the luggage case. The luggage case further includes a flap with a third attachment interface that is configured to be mated with the first attachment interface if the backpack is detached from the luggage case.

Abstract: An X-ray-permeable bag is provided with a hinged compartment attached to a wheeled trolley bag by a zippered hinge in side-by-side relationship but are spread horizontally about said hinge for edge-to-edge placement on a conveyor belt so as to allow separate X-ray inspection of the compartments without content removal. In its preferred form, the bag permits separate scanning of a laptop computer and the rest of the bags contents by utilizing a method that reduces the time required to perform an inspection while maintaining the integrity of the inspection process. Additionally, the zippered hinge allows the compartments to be separated so that they may be transported independently.

Abstract: The laptop computer case includes a storage case section having a recessed portion which enables positioning of the storage case over a telescoping handle assembly incorporated in luggage. One side of the storage case section includes multiple panel sections which may be folded to form a pocket to retain an item such as a laptop computer.

Abstract: A modular luggage system, including a core bag module and an additional bag module. The core module includes a housing, at least one internal compartment and a docking frame positioned on the surface of the housing. The additional bag module has its internal compartment and a rim located on the surface of the additional bag module. The rim of the additional bag module is engageable with the docking frame of the core bag module so as to removably secure the additional bag module on the core bag module.

Abstract: A travel case for liquid cosmetics, medications and the like includes an interior pocket with a separate transparent plastic pouch for the liquid materials such as cosmetics. Access to the interior of the bag may be effected through a principal access opening in the top of the bag. Access to the interior pocket which holds the pouch may also be effected through an auxiliary opening in the side wall of the bag. The access opening to the pocket within the bag as well as to the interior of the bag are all oriented in the same direction.

Abstract: A luggage transport system consists of a plurality of luggage or suitcase components, each with wheels and retractable handles, connected in a train or series. The connection between each luggage component is accomplished by unique luggage face to luggage face attachment. A support element is secured to and extends from the front faces of all but the last luggage component in the luggage train. The support element has insertion holes at its lower region and an interior groove at its upper region. The rear faces of all but the first luggage component in the luggage train have outwardly extended portions with downwardly extending peg members at their lower regions and transversely extended pocket sections at their upper regions. Connection is first made by inserting the peg members of the second luggage component in the train into the holes of the support element of the first luggage component in the train.

Abstract: An apparatus for transporting clothing comprising a wheeled suitcase and a detachable garment bag. The garment bag is adapted to wrap around outside panels of the suitcase and is held snuggly against the suitcase by a fastener system including connectively interlocking clips or the like. Auxiliary hook and loop strips ensure that the garment bag is securely held on the suitcase. The wheeled suitcase, in its generally upright position, includes an upper end and lower end. The upper end has an opening free of the wrapped garment bag affording ready access. Corners of the suitcase are rounded to facilitate gentle wrapping such that clothing within the garment bag is not subject to folding or wrinkling. The suitcase is slightly smaller than the size limited by airline regulations for carry-on luggage. Thus, when wrapped with the unique garment bag, the combined suitcase and garment bag will not exceed regulations.

A number of compression bags are contained within the shell cavity and are detachably retained by the attachment members such as to maintain a relative position with respect to one another within the case. Each of the compression bags includes is air impervious when sealed and can received the articles within the enclosure defined therein, and includes a one-way valve allowing air to be removed from the enclosure within the bag, thereby creating at least a partial vacuum in the enclosure which compresses the articles within the bag.

Abstract: Dividable luggage comprising two similar luggage pieces that can be reversibly attached to each other at one edge by a flexible hinge in the manner of a book, or can be separated, or fully joined to form a larger, more nearly cubic, piece of unitary luggage, with a flat top for supporting an additional bag, according to the convenience of the traveler. In the fully joined form, the closures of both luggage pieces are hidden, and an optional cart is provided integral to one or both luggage pieces with feet for supporting the upright luggage and additional straps for ease of handling.

Abstract: The invented modular, capacity-adjustable racquet tote bag device includes two or more individual container segments each configured to contain at least a head portion of a racquet and associated gear, each segment being substantially coextensive and congruent in dimension and shape on at least one face with another; cooperative fastening means extending at least part-way circumferentially around confronting ones of the faces, the fastening means configured to securely join the two or more individual container segments together; and tote means, e.g. a handle or a shoulder strap, associated with at least one of the segments for transporting the racquet tote bag device. Preferably, the cooperative fastening means includes one or more confronting loop and pile textile members configured to detachably affix to one another when pressed together.

Abstract: An improved storage bag has a retaining member disposed on an inside surface of a first side wall of a main bag. The retaining member allows supplemental bag to hang on an outside wall of the main bag. An existing storage bag can have a bracket configured to extend partially along an inside portion of a side wall of the briefcase. The bracket has a hook-portion to extend out of the top of the briefcase and partially along the outside portion of the side wall of the briefcase and a retaining member. This configuration also allows a supplemental bag to be attached to the retaining member to hang along an outside wall of the bag.

Abstract: Stabilizing means for a secondary bag carried on a wheeled luggage case is attached to the telescoping handle assembly of the case. The handle assembly has a single telescoping tube and a stabilizing arm or arms pivotally mounted on the outer section of the telescoping tube. When the handle assembly is withdrawn from the case, the stabilizing arm or arms are pivoted to a horizontal position. On retraction of the handle into the case, the arm or arms are pivoted to a position parallel to the tube section. In another embodiment, collar affixed to the outer section of the tube carries a pair of L-shape members, each with a leg extending downwardly and parallel to the tube section. The collar and L-shaped arms move with the outer tube section into and out of the luggage case.

Abstract: A portable enclosure for storing and carrying baseball and other athletic equipment consists of six fabric-covered rigid panels which can be closed by means of a single continuous zipper to form a rigid rectangular parallelepiped that can be carted easily by means of wheels located at a lower edge. When the portable enclosure is unzipped into the open position, the back wall and side walls open up flat so that the pockets, shelves and pouches located on the interior surfaces thereof are accessible. Yet, since the portable enclosure is now flat, it can be located out of the way, secured against the back of the dugout where it will not create a trip hazard for the players.

Abstract: A towable bag comprises a body having at least one wheel, a tow bar comprising a plurality of articulated sections, one end of the tow bar being releasably attached to the body of the bag and the second end of the tow bar being adapted to releasably engage a coupling means being worn by the user.

Abstract: This invention provides a structured luggage system that allows for maximum versatility in luggage piece dimensions and using two luggage pieces. Each of the two luggage pieces can be converted from a full-height luggage piece to an approximately half-height piece with relative ease. The lower or main piece includes conventional wheels and a retractable/extendible handle for easy transport. The upper or secondary piece is adapted to stack on and be secured to the extended handle and (in full-height configuration) offer a secondary grip for added stability adjacent to the handle grip. The lower piece includes an inner central septum that can be sealed or opened to selectively define either a two-compartment piece or large, single compartment piece. Each compartment includes easily removable stiffeners in corresponding side pockets. By removing the upper compartment stiffeners, the pocket can be collapsed into a thickened top that includes the septum as the thickened top's inside face.

Abstract: A diaper bag body according to the present invention includes a bag body 1, and a storage pocket 10 disposed on a back surface 1a facing a user's back of the bag body 1. A folded sheet 13 such as a sheet for changing diapers is contained in the storage pocket 10. A small bag 2 is attached to a front surface 1b of the bag body 1.

Abstract: A combination garment bag and luggage bag includes a relatively rigid outer luggage bag and a relatively flexible inner garment bag. According to one aspect of the invention, the garment bag is secured to the interior of the luggage bag with the aid of a releasable coupling mechanism. According to another aspect of the invention, the interior of the garment bag is provided with a spring expandable hanger bar. The hanger bar expands when the garment bag is removed from the luggage bag. This allows easier access to the contents of the garment bag.

Abstract: A travel cover for a golf bag and clubs includes an integrated suitcase portion with one or more compartments for packing articles of clothing therein. In a preferred embodiment, the suitcase portion is in the form of a garment bag that releasably attaches to an inside back panel of the travel cover. The garment bag can be removed from the travel cover for separate transport and use. In another embodiment, the suitcase portion is fabricated within the travel cover and includes a top panel which secures closed to separate the clothing compartments of the suitcase portion from the golf bag holding compartment. In still another embodiment, the suitcase portion is provided on the exterior top side of the travel cover and includes an independently secured cover panel which opens to permit access to the clothing compartments. In yet a further embodiment, the suitcase portion is a garment bag that releasably attaches to the exterior of the travel cover and is separable therefrom.

Abstract: A security handbag system comprising a purse with a detachable portion removably coupled to the side of the purse and attached to the waist of a user. The detachable portion has pockets to hold the users valuables including cash, credit cards, defensive chemical spray and cellular phone. Upon extraordinary pulling away of the purse, the detachable portion remains attached to the user and uncouples from the purse.

Abstract: A wheeled utility bag that includes a customizable storage area for conveniently transporting a number of items and extendable axles for increased stability. The utility bag includes a rigid base incorporating an extendable handle, a fixed handle, extendable axles supporting at least one rotatable wheel and a container such as a flexible bag. A supply kit can be removably mounted to a first side of the rigid base while the flexible bag is permanently attached to a second side of the base. The flexible bag forms a main compartment area for transporting tools or implements. A customized insert can be included in the main compartment. The utility bag also including a number of secondary compartments, retainers, handles, attachments and pockets.

Abstract: A convertible carrying assembly has separable upper and lower sections, and a removable lower outer covering. The upper section consists of a small handbag with external fasteners for holding the lower outer covering and lower section. When disconnected, the upper section may be used as a handbag. The lower section includes a removable drawer-style organizer. Side panels formed from the outer covering may be unzipped to give access to the drawers in the organizer. If desired, the organizer may be removed for stand-alone use. The outer covering may be used as a stand-alone bag, or may be unzipped to form a flat surface that can be further used or folded for a variety of functions.

The inner core luggage member includes two open storage shells hinged on the axis and also about their peripheries, and at least one pair of support wheels, and a retractable-extendable handle mounted on one shell whereby the core luggage member may be independently transported. An outer, wraparound garment carrier is foldable about a central horizontal axis and includes at least one pair of spaced support wheels and a telescopically retractable pull handle. The outer carrier is of equal width but substantially longer than the core luggage member, whereby the outer carrier may be folded over the core carrier in closely engaging relation.

Abstract: A wheeled luggage item includes a collapsible bar assembly for stably supporting a secondary bag on top of the luggage item. The collapsible bar assembly includes a base mounted on top of the luggage and a generally U-shaped bar member having two ends respectively pivoted to the base. The bar member can be pivoted between a collapsed position, at which the bar member rests against the base, and an extended position, at which the bar member extends outwardly at an angle of about 90° to the base. Releasable locking means disposed on the base lock the bar member at the collapsed position. A push-button releases the bar member from the collapsed position, and an elastic member captured between the base and the bar member biases the bar member upward away from the collapsed position.

The shoe-storing saddlebag assembly includes strap members being adapted to be extended and fastened about a backpack; and further includes slack-adjustable straps also being adapted to be extended about the backpack; and also includes fastening members for fastening the strap members about the backpack; further includes saddlebag members being attached to the strap members and to the slack-adjustable straps and being adapted to be draped upon the backpack for carrying and storing shoes.

Abstract: My invention, the Fast Check Anti-terrorism Luggage, consists of two major parts. The first is a cloth outer shell like the kind used on the outsides of many types of luggage bags. The outer shell can be unzipped revealing a clear plastic inner shell that contains the actual luggage. The inner shell is connected to the outer shell on the top of the bag as a lining is connected to the shell on a regular bag (duffel) and is connected to the front and back sides on the wheeled style suitcase on its spine. The inner shell functions as both a lining, and a antiterrorism device. The contents of the bag can be easily seen so that it is not always necessary to open and search all bags. Also the inner shell, since it is plastic is easily cleaned up if something is spilled. Other than these special features, my invention is a simple duffel or wheeled style piece of luggage that is common today all over the world.
