  • Publication number: 20040093655
Abstract: A visor assembly includes a visor portion for blocking sunlight, a front portion coupled to the visor portion, a first elastic band coupled to both sides of the front portion to encircle a head, and second elastic bands coupled to a portion of the first elastic band. The second elastic bands have elasticity different from that of the first elastic band. As the elasticity of the first elastic band is different from that of the second elastic bands, the bands exerts resultant elasticity that allows the band to stretch for various head sizes and the contracting force at the overlapping portions of the first and second elastic bands is enhanced, thereby improving the wearing comfort. Furthermore, the first elastic band may be enclosed by a cover in order to satisfy a variety of consumer desires.

  • Patent number: 6658664
Abstract: A visor cap, having a bill, a forehead shield having sides, an adjustable strap attached to and extending between the forehead shield sides, and a non-elastic sleeve. The adjustable strap has a pair of display panels adjacent to the forehead shield sides, and an elastic strap extending between the display panels. When the cap is donned by a wearer, the adjustable sleeve stretches to accommodate the head of the wearer, creating temple openings between the non-elastic sleeve and the forehead shield sides, revealing the display panels. When the cap is removed by the wearer, the elastic band returns to the relaxed position and the non-elastic sleeve once again abuts the forehead shield sides—substantially concealing the display panels.

These two selectively detachable elements can be worn assembled as a cap, or each one can be worn separately as a distinct piece of headwear. The selectively detachable crown can be made in any silhouette, in any materia, and with any back closure known in the art of making caps, visors, and brimless caps of “beanies”. In addition, one of more of the panels of the selectively detachable crown can be made of velcro hook-engaging material, allowing the selective display of detachable insignias and detachable pockets with velcro loop-engaging material permanently affixed on back of them.

Abstract: An eyeglasses-held sun visor to provide sunshade to the face of the person. The eyeglasses-held sun visor comprises a visor, a headband, two pieces of flat, elasticized material, and four openings, two on the inside portion of the headband through which the arms of a pair of eyeglasses would be inserted, and one at each end of the headband through which the arms of said eyeglasses would exit, thereby securing said eyeglasses-held sun visor. The openings, along with the elastic nature of the material the eyeglasses slide under, secure the sun visor to the eyeglasses of a person thereby eliminating the necessity for any other apparatus to secure said sun visor to the head of the person.

Abstract: An eye shield assembly useful for selective attachment to the visor of a baseball cap for providing lateral shielding from direct or reflected glare includes, in its first preferred implementation, an elongate planar shielding surface defined by a forward and rearward end and an upper and lower edge. A front and rear attachment extends from the upper edge for selective engagement to the visor edge and the cap, with the shielding alignment further determined by a planar projection extending beyond the upper edge, intermediate the front and rear attachments, conformed for captured receipt between the cap and the skull of the wearer. The attachments may take the form of tined structures flexibly secured to the shielding surface to effect attachment along either side of the cap, or may take the form of convolved strips conformed for selective receipt of the cap edges in selected convolutions.

Abstract: A ferrous object is attached to or embedded within an article of golf clothing so that it is subject to the force of magnetic attraction of a magnet in a ball marker. A magnetic ball marker according to the invention has a body that can be stamped, painted, machined, or otherwise provided with surface embellishments, such as tournament logos, golf course crests, corporate logos, and other visual indicia that are favored by golfers. Unlike conventional golf ball markers, however, a ball marker according to the invention is provided with a thin, flat, permanent magnet that is attached to or embedded within the body of the ball marker. When the ball marker is moved into the proximity of an article of golf clothing modified according to the invention by the incorporation of a ferrous object therein, the ball marker will be attracted to the ferrous object and will cling to the article of golf clothing until purposely removed therefrom.
