Abstract: A man's undergarment ergodynamically designed to have the combined quality and characteristics of a brief and an athletic supporter and which is of scant dimensions and fits snugly about a man's body with leg openings of such size as to provide additional comfort to the wearer. The system comprises four major parts, a waistband, a front panel, a back panel, and a 3-dimensional raised insert stitched in an oval shaped cutout in the front panel to act as a cradle and provide support without crush. Elastic edges are provided on the leg openings. Each of the parts are designed so that when sewn together, they provide a perfect fit for each size.

Abstract: Women's body wear is provided with a panel in the crotch area which is formed of open or loosely knit material formed using threads made up of a bundle of hydrophobic fibers having a large surface area and longitudinally extending channels to provide drier, more comfortable and "breathable" body wear. The body wear garment may be provided with an open knit exterior panel generally coextensive with the inner panel, and of the same color as the remainder of the body wear garment.

Abstract: A brief in which there is provided a shaping portion in a front portion of the brief for shaping the formation of a swell at the front of the brief at the position corresponding to the male genitalia. The shaping portion has a concave inner surface and a convex outer surface and is composed of a three-layer construction including an outer cloth, an inner cloth, and a soft synthetic resin layer. There is provided a concave portion for receiving the male genitalia at the inner surface of the shaping portion and the outer surface of the shaping portion is formed with a convex formation, and there is provided a fixing portion at the open ends of the concave portion. The shaping portion has a hard synthetic resin layer inside the shaping portion, and a receiving bag is mounted inside the resin layer to insert a shaping member into the receiving bag.

Abstract: A relatively wide elastic waistband is provided to encircle the waist of the wearer and has elastic stretchability primarily in the longitudinal direction. A pair of tubular legs is provided with upper ends connected to the waistband. The upper end portions of the tubular legs are adapted to surround the opposed hips of the wearer and the lower end portions are adapted to encircle the upper thighs of the wearer and define lower leg openings surrounding the lower thighs of the wearer. A crotch panel extends throughout the medial portion and crotch of the wearer with opposite ends being connected to the medial front and rear portions of the waistband. The crotch panel is preferably formed of two panel members with the front panel member having an open mesh stitch construction while the rear panel has the usual closed stitch plain knit construction.

Abstract: Comfort pants having cushioned buttocks portions. The pants comprise a pair of boxer-like shorts having a rear, reinforced panel including a pair of pads which are disposed on either side of a center line of the rear panel at locations thereon corresponding to those portions of a wearer's buttocks which come into contact when the wearer is seated on a flat surface.

Abstract: An undergarment which include a centrally-located pocket for the storage of small items, such as prophylactics. A crotch panel is generally attached by its edges to the front of the garment, the crotch panel extending from the waist opening to an area between the leg openings, forming a closed space between the garment and the crotch panel. An opening is defined to provide access to the enclosed space.

Abstract: An improved brief which provides an internal pocket in the front of the brief with an opening at the top. The pocket is positioned to hold the shaft portion of the penis as it extends downward, with the scrotum being separated by the cloth of the pocket piece from the shaft. Thus, any drippings from the tip of the shaft will not come in contact with the scrotum or any other portion of a man's body, since they will fall into the pocket and be separated thereby. In addition, by separating the skin of the shaft from the scrotum, the formation of sweat in the area that would normally be contacting there-between is prevented.

Abstract: The present invention involves an undergarment and an integral pocket secured thereto. The invention is applicable to men's brief, men's boxer shorts, women's panties, women's brassieres, and to pockets which may be secured thereto. The undergarment is generally made of a first material, and the pocket is made of second material which is different from the first material. The pocket has an elasticized band of material disposed across the opening thereof, the elasticized band of material being stretched taut across the body portion. The pocket opening includes a double density of material. Preferably, the pocket material is made of a plurality of stretch fibers which are oriented transversely from a plurality of nonstretch fibers.

Abstract: Reference is made to shorts or little skirt with an integral inner slip in which the shorts or little skirt on the one side, and the inner slip on the other side, are knitted together as one piece along their waistbands. A double layer knitting manufacturing process is described according to which the shorts or little skirt on the one side, and the inner slip on the other side, are knitted together in paralled rows along a common waistband running perpendicularly to their body axes, and pairs of shorts/skirts and inner slips are knitted continuously to subsequent pairs along common doubled seamed separating zones. Individual pairs of shorts/inner slips are then separated from the next pair and each pair is then subsequently folded into itself along a flexible transition point located in the waistband. According to the invention, the products are used to hold absorbant insert pads for use by incontinent adults.

Abstract: A man's garment, particularly a man's underwear garment, providing a codpiece compartment secured to a front of a trunk panel of the garment, the trunk panel providing an opening for communicating a man's genitals therethrough into the codpiece compartment, the compartment loosely holding the man's genitals, the trunk panel providing separation and heat insulation to reduce the thermal influence of the man's torso on the man's reproductive organs, to safeguard the potency of the man's sperm. The undergarment provides an access out of the codpiece compartment for removing the man's penis in order to urinate. The invention provides for an easily assembled undergarment with an attractive uncluttered appearance.

The front leg portions (3) are shorter than the rear leg portions (1) and have angular tops, one side of which is connected to the crotch panel (B) by seams (7), while the other, horizontal side is connected to the abdominal front portion (A) by means of seams (9) which contain the openings for pockets (12).

Abstract: An underpants provided with smooth side panels free of protruding edges and elastic bands cover the iliac crests on both sides of the wearer for providing comfort during sleeping on either side, minimize waistband discomfort and render the sides of the underpants inconspicuous when worn under a pair of trousers or skirt.

Abstract: An underwear garment that is specially constructed to be worn by men having semi-rigid penile implants. The construction includes not only a general type of a brief but also an athletic model, each of which is adapted to include a specifice type of front panel interior pocket or envelope that is constructed of a plurality of panels of material with each panel contributing a particularly desirable retention function. The envelope consists of outer paneling which exerts significant inward retentive pressure against the body and penis while a next layer of soft, thick batting material provides cushioning thereby to avoid abrasive tendencies of the structure. Finally, the inner contacting panels which directly envelope the penis are formed of a very soft fabric having a smooth surface in actual contact with the organ. The alternative sports model necessitates a stronger waistband elastic which, in turn, requires that a soft fabric window portion be placed adjacent the upper portion of the penis member.

Abstract: The invention relates to V-shaped briefs which can be produced in one piece and which consist of a preferably elastic crotch or gusset part and two side bands of essentially uniform width made of a decorative knitted border. The briefs are produced by continuously knitting single or double layer material widths which after having separated only need to be worked on along one seam or not at all in order to obtain the finished briefs. In addition, it is possible to sew on stocking parts with a very steep leg line. Production is considerably simplified and costs greatly reduced without adversely affecting the wearing properties and the fashionable appearance of the garment.

The leg openings of the brief function to receive a wearer's arms, the waist of the briefs extends downwardly over the upper torso toward the waist, and the crotch of the briefs includes a neck aperture to receive the wearer's head and neck passing therethrough. The flyfront of the briefs may be adapted, by the orientation and shape of the neck, to be positioned against the chest or the back of the wearer as desired.

Abstract: An article of apparel, generally a T shirt which includes a fabric layer upon which is attached a three dimensional molded article providing a three dimensional relief pattern on a front part of the T shirt to enhance the appearance and provide opportunity for increased sales. The three dimensional molded part includes a flat based disc and raised relief parts with the disc being attached to the T shirt fabric leaving a hollow area between the fabric and the raised parts.

Abstract: A method of sewing a length of elastic about a garment waist opening in which after the leading end is sewn initially below and then raised to the level of and sewn for most of its length about the garment waist opening, the unattached trailing end is shifted also below the garment waist opening and sewn to the garment, so that both elastic ends, which may exhibit fraying and otherwise be unsightly, are significantly out of sight in their location below the garment waist opening.

Abstract: Disposable apparel shorts fabricated from a single blank of non-woven textile sheeting, the blank having opposing isosceles triangular indentations therein whose vertices lie at the opposite ends of a transverse center line. When the blank is folded on this line to form identical superposed sections, these constitute the front and rear sections of the shorts in which the upper margins of the sections define the waist, and the folded-over triangular indentations define the leg openings. The side margins of the front section are folded in and the corresponding side margins of the rear section are folded over the folded-in margins to define side vents in the leg openings to provide additional space, should it be required by the wearer. An elastic band is bonded in its stretched state to the inner surface of the upper margins of the sections to create a shirred circular waist which is expandable to conform to the waist of the wearer.

First and second tubular blanks are slit longitudinally along the entire length thereof and when opened out flat define first and second panels. A third tubular blank substantially smaller in length and diameter than the first and second blanks is slit along one side to define a crotch panel. A crotch panel is secured to each of the first and second panels and the first and second panels are folded upon each other with selected overlying edges attached to each other thereby providing a panty or brief having front and back portions defined by the first and second panels.

Abstract: This invention is directed to a method of manufacturing knitted briefs and the briefs made by the method. In accordance therewith, two separate seamless tubular blanks are knit each with a knit-in waistband, a body portion and a crotch portion. The tubular blanks are each slit walewise, and the free coursewise edges of the crotch portions are sewn together by a crotch seam.Thereafter the side edges of the combined blank are trimmed to define the leg openings, and narrow elastic is sewn to the side edges. The side edges of the body portions are then sewn together. The yarn at the crotch area is then bulked to further reduce the crotch width.

Abstract: An underwear for men comprises a continuous cloth belt and an adjustable elastic belt for fastening the cloth belt onto the waist of a user. The cloth belt is integrally provided with a hip covering portion which covers the user's hips and to which the elastic belt is fixed; a crotch covering portion having a narrow breadth than the hip covering portion; a belly covering portion having a wider width than the crotch covering portion; and a pending portion adapted to be turned over the elastic belt in such a way that it hangs down therefrom in front of the belly covering portion. Abstract: The primary inventive concept herein relates to loose-fitting mens' garments which are in direct contact with at least the trunk area of the wearer, such as pajamas and woven "boxer" shorts (underwear), to provide protection for the wearer and his outer clothing from undesirable slight drainage of body-liquids (urine and semen) after normal termination of flow of these liquids, such as after urination. This drainage problem is experienced occasionally by entirely healthy men when they are careless or hurried after terminating the normal flow of these body-liquids. The new garment is also useful for men who are just starting to have a bladder-control problem, such as a slight delay in the normal closing of the sphincter muscle(valve), and even a minute leakage of the "valve" itself, which sometimes occurs in men as young as 30-35 years of age.

Abstract: A method and articles of underwear for effecting the method, the invention intends the prevention of damage to erectile and other tissue of the penis, primarily to prevent or to alleviate impotence caused by penile circulatory deficiencies. The present method provides for support of the penis in attitudes within which the major vascular conduits of the penis are not subject to bending or crimping, a particular supportive mode being the maintenance of the flaccid penis in an upwardly directed attitude such that the longitudinal axis of the penis is maintained in an essentially straight line or at least in a gentle arc. The underwear configured according to the invention act to maintain the penis in the attitude intended by a practice of the present method and can further be configured to increase or decrease fertility to the degree affected by thermal considerations.

The single piece elastic waistband attaches to the fabric piece and loops around the wearer's waist, passing through a passageway at the first end of the fabric panel, upon which the fabric panel gathers causing a bulging which forms a support cup of the athletic supporter.
