  • Patent number: 9780554
Abstract: A moisture sensor includes one or more electrodes and sensor circuitry configured to detect the presence of moisture by detecting a change in an electrical measurement of the one or more electrodes. In response, the sensor may signal a component to perform an action. In some examples, capacitance and/or resistance between a pair of electrodes may be monitored, such as a pair of electrode sheets or meshes positioned in passage of a device that are separated by a gap. In various examples, a first electrode may be mounted cantilever to a second electrode and the presence of moisture between the electrodes may pull a free end closer to the second electrode. In some examples, the presence of moisture may cause bridging of a gap between two or more electrodes to complete or corrosion of a portion of an electrode to result in a change of resistance that can be detected.

Loosening members (25) are provided for loosening fibre material that has been filtered out of the suspension and deposited on a filtering lining (13) of the respective filter element. Receiver chutes (30) are located in the part of the vessel where the filter sectors (12) are rotated down into the suspension from a position above the suspension. The receiver chutes receive loosened fibre material together with flushing liquid from cleaning members (26) located above the receiver chutes to thereby allow the fibre material to be diluted in the receiver chutes to a desired dry content by means of this flushing liquid.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to an environmentally sensitive mobile cleaning system, and more specifically relates to a closed loop water recirculation system for high or ultra-high pressure mobile cleaning apparatus. The system includes a water tank sized to contain an established volume of fluid sufficient to circulate through the system, a pump to pressure the fluid to a cleaning head, a vacuum system to return the contaminated fluid to the system, and a filter means to remove the contaminants from the fluid so that clean fluid can be reintroduced to the cleaning head. The method comprises the steps of increasing the pressure of a fixed volume of fluid in a closed-loop system, jetting or blasting the surface with the pressurized fluid, vacuuming the blasted fluid into the system, and removing the contaminants from the fluid.

The filtering portion further has a wash water spray nozzle directed at the conveyor belt so as to dislodge the watery cake penetrated within the conveyor belt. A dewatering portion has a compression auger screw positioned for receiving the dislodged watery cake and the wash water. An auger screw receives the wash water and cake which is transported to a compression cage where compression drives water out of the cake leaving a semi-solid cake which is pressed against a door where it exits the plant.

Abstract: A solvent filtration and recovery system for filtration and recovery of a solvent-based liquid used in dry cleaning includes filtration tank having filter chamber with motor-driven spin filters which are selectively operated. A valve and conduit arrangement allows the liquid from dry cleaning to enter the filter chamber for filtering and flows out as filtered liquid while the spin filters are not rotating. The arrangement allows initial at least partial draining of the solvent-based liquid in the filter chamber after such filtration procedure. A recovery tank is in communication with the filtration tank through a main drain. A motor drives the spin filters during a recovery procedure, in which centrifugal force caused by the rotating spin filters for a predetermined amount of time removes by-product from the spin filters, which is drained off from the filtration tank. A reservoir stores the solvent-based liquid and receives the liquid from both the recovery tank and the filtration tank.
