  • Patent number: 10487607
Abstract: A fracturing system includes a fracturing spool that mounts onto a wellhead assembly for injecting fracturing fluid into a well beneath the wellhead assembly. The fracturing system includes an isolation sleeve and fracturing spool. The isolation sleeve inserts in an axial bore of the fracturing spool, and has a lower end that extends into the wellhead to isolate and protect portions of the wellhead assembly from the fracturing fluid. A groove in an inner surface of the fracturing spool receives an annular seal for sealing between the isolation sleeve and fracturing spool. Injecting a viscous fluid into the groove energizes the seal, and blocks high pressure fracturing fluid from flowing between the isolation sleeve and fracturing spool.

  • Patent number: 8137568
Abstract: Prior art washer designs have segmented radial ducts feeding the filter valve which collect the filtrate emerging from the longitudinal ducts. Because these ducts are radial, the volume at the periphery is much greater than at the valve entry which creates undesirable conditions such as a large volume where air can escape from the filtrate forming a pocket which will reduce the effectiveness of the vacuum and promote non-uniformity in filtrate velocity. The present invention incorporates a baffle in the radial duct which reduces the volume at the periphery and maintains a uniform cross-sectional area for the filtrate to reach the valve. This maintains a constant filtrate velocity and prevents the possibility of the formation of an air pocket.

Abstract: A vertical cylindrical dewatering apparatus for dewatering fibrous slurries, slurry of manure and water, or other similar slurries. The apparatus includes a housing that includes a defined chamber having an enclosed top end with a slurry injector into the chamber, a centrally disposed first filtering element that includes first and second flightings, and a second vertical cylindrical filtering element including a support grid. The first and second filtering elements define the chamber. The slurry in-flow port at the top of the apparatus directs the slurry spiraling down between the flightings. The particles start building up at the bottom of the chamber as the water is filtered out from the housing through filtrate drains. Compressed air supplied through a rotating seal down through the centrally disposed filtering element moves through the filter, and through the particles forcing the water from between the particles out through the outer filter element.
