  • Patent number: 6871747
Abstract: A product display shelving assembly according to some embodiments of the invention includes a pair of shelves in which one of the shelves is suspended from the other by a plurality of suspension pieces. Because the suspended shelf does not require a dedicated horizontal support member, a higher proportion of the shelving assembly's frontal area can be used for displaying products as compared to many types of conventional display shelving. More products can be thus displayed in a given space, less inventory needs to be warehoused and customers can shop more conveniently. The product display may be embodied in new shelving assemblies or conventional display shelving assemblies can be adapted with assembly structure according to the present invention.

  • Publication number: 20040261359
Abstract: A binding apparatus for packaging and paper recycling comprises of four separate holding trays, four legs connected to the trays, and several frames connecting the legs. Each of the trays holds a corner to a quarter of the area of the papers or materials which need to be bound. The four trays work together to hold papers or any materials that needs to be bound but there is a clearance between any two pairs of the trays. Given the clearance between the trays and the clearance between the frames and trays, human hands, ropes, or binding tools can go through to bind the papers without touching any one of the trays and without moving the objects which needs to be bound. The ropes are placed in the clearances between trays. Once the binding is finished, a stack of bound papers or materials can be removed directly from the top of the binding apparatus without moving the apparatus. The apparatus can be used for paper recycling, as magazine rack, or as furniture for decoration.

At the aft portion of the index divider are two lateral tabs which project outward and are retained in a vertical groove along the right and left sides of the box. The lateral tabs prevent the index dividers from sliding forward and allow the index dividers to ride up or down in the vertival slots as the stack of sandpaper sheets changes. The lateral tabs function as a unique lifting mechanism to permit the index divider to be raised enough to provide ample clearance to easily insert or remove a sheet of sandpaper. Abstract: An adapter for use with dispensing racks having a central mounting hook and T-shirt style bags with tab openings providing a rupturable portion of the tab between the tab opening and the bag mouth is described. The adapter includes a hollow body with a cavity that is sized and shaped to fit frictionally over the central mounting hook. The body has a front surface, a top surface, a bottom surface, first and second side edges and a back surface. The back surface includes a vertically oriented tearing ridge. The adapter's cavity is fitted over the central mounting hook with the front surface facing a direction in which the support arms extend. When a pack of T-shirt style bags that have the tab opening with a rupturable portion mounted on the support arms with the tab openings of the bags placed over the adapter, the tearing ridge will serve to facilitate tearing the rupturable portion of the mounting tab as a bag is removed from the dispensing rack so that the mounting tab will remain attached to the bag.

Abstract: A sheet holder is comprised of a base with a sheet holding area, a pair of side posts attached to the base on opposite sides of the sheet holding area, a top post attached to the base at a top edge of the sheet holding area, and a bottom post attached to the base at a bottom edge of the sheet holding area. The side posts are positioned one higher than the other. The bottom post is offset to a side of the sheet holding area corresponding to the lower side post, and the top post is offset to a side of the sheet holding area corresponding to the higher side post. The posts secure a stack of sheets between them on the sheet holding area, and prevent the sheets from rotating or sliding in any direction. The sheet holder can be positioned horizontally or vertically. Heads on the side posts prevent the sheets from falling out when the sheet holder is positioned vertically, or from being blown out by wind. In alternative embodiments for vertical mounting only, the top post is eliminated.

Abstract: A divider arrangement for organizing documents including a base part for supportive engagement with either an elongate mounting rail positioned above a worksurface or with a generally horizontal support surface, and a plurality of divider elements which project upwardly from the base part. Each of the divider elements is defined by an upwardly opening channel member having spaced-apart front and rear walls joined together by a bottom wall extending transversely therebetween, with a plurality of the channel members being supported on the base part in sidewardly adjacent relationship so as to define a plurality of adjacent storage slots. Each of the channel members assume a slightly angled relationship relative to the base part so that the bottom wall extends at a slight angle relative to the horizontal and the front and rear walls extend at a slight angle relative to the vertical.
