Patent number: 6234324Abstract: A sheet holder is comprised of a base with a sheet holding area, a pair of side posts attached to the base on opposite sides of the sheet holding area, a top post attached to the base at a top edge of the sheet holding area, and a bottom post attached to the base at a bottom edge of the sheet holding area. The side posts are positioned one higher than the other. The bottom post is offset to a side of the sheet holding area corresponding to the lower side post, and the top post is offset to a side of the sheet holding area corresponding to the higher side post. The posts secure a stack of sheets between them on the sheet holding area, and prevent the sheets from rotating or sliding in any direction. The sheet holder can be positioned horizontally or vertically. Heads on the side posts prevent the sheets from falling out when the sheet holder is positioned vertically, or from being blown out by wind. In alternative embodiments for vertical mounting only, the top post is eliminated.Type: GrantFiled: March 4, 1999Date of Patent: May 22, 2001Inventor: Neil Getz

Patent number: 6227384Abstract: A divider arrangement for organizing documents including a base part for supportive engagement with either an elongate mounting rail positioned above a worksurface or with a generally horizontal support surface, and a plurality of divider elements which project upwardly from the base part. Each of the divider elements is defined by an upwardly opening channel member having spaced-apart front and rear walls joined together by a bottom wall extending transversely therebetween, with a plurality of the channel members being supported on the base part in sidewardly adjacent relationship so as to define a plurality of adjacent storage slots. Each of the channel members assume a slightly angled relationship relative to the base part so that the bottom wall extends at a slight angle relative to the horizontal and the front and rear walls extend at a slight angle relative to the vertical.Type: GrantFiled: April 30, 1999Date of Patent: May 8, 2001Assignee: Haworth, Inc.Inventors: Charles Saylor, Sheldon Phillips, Edward Mitchell

Patent number: 6216869Abstract: A flash card management apparatus has a progression of compartments that govern or direct which cards are reviewed at a given drill session. When the progression is ordered by card capacities, a given card will come up for review possibly at each drill session for the first few sessions, and then come up for review with ever decreasing frequency thereafter. The use of the management apparatus will assure that each card will be not only periodically reviewed, but also reviewed a fixed number of times before it is put on the side.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 1999Date of Patent: April 17, 2001Inventor: Li Feng Zhang
