Abstract: A backhoe for quick connection to an end of an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) is described. A quick-connector mechanism is secured to a main mounting frame of the backhoe for securement to attaching components of an ATV. The backhoe has a pair of adjustable telescopic legs and a pivoting boom assembly, as is common with such apparatus. The pivoting boom assembly is connected to the main mounting frame of the backhoe by a piston operated pivoting mechanism for 180° lateral displacement of the boom assembly. The pivoting mechanism is comprised of a toothed sprocket secured to a vertical pivot connection at an attaching end of the boom assembly and fixedly secured to the main mounting frame. A sliding rack is provide with a series of teeth in toothed engagement with the toothed sprocket and secured for axial displacement by a fluid operated cylinder to cause the sprocket to turn and cause rotation of the pivot connection to thereby rotate the boom assembly within an arc of 180°.

Abstract: A control system for a work machine. The control system allows an operator to selectively maintain control of a ground drive, a work tool, or both the ground drive and the work tool. The system provides a foot pedal movable between multiple positions. The foot pedal allows an operator to selectively hold the position of one or both of the ground drive control and work tool control. When the foot pedal is in a first position, the work tool control and ground drive control are not affected. When the foot pedal is in a second position, the position of the work tool control is maintained, while the ground drive control is not affected. When the foot pedal is in a third position, the position of the work tool control is maintained and the position of the ground drive control is maintained. A work tool control lock is used to prevent the work tool control from engaging when the foot pedal is in the second position or the third position.

Abstract: A mobile concrete pump including a chassis (10), a rotating gear (14) for a distributing boom which is mounted onto said chassis, a pump assembly and a supporting construction (20). The supporting construction comprises two arc-shaped telescopic guides (32) for arc-shaped support arms (22) that can be retracted into the chassis and extended obliquely outwards in front. The telescopic guides (32) cross each other on different horizontal planes. Their geometric centers of curvature (36) are mirror-symmetrical in relation to the longitudinal axis (38) of the chassis and lie at a lateral distance from the edges of the longitudinal sides outside said chassis (10), behind an imaginary connecting line drawn between the rear ends (42) of the telescopic guides (32). The inventive supporting construction (20) permits large construction stances to be achieved with simple means, said stances also being suitable for distributing booms in the 50 m class.

Abstract: A work vehicle is provided with an articulated frame having a first frame segment and a second frame segment that are pivotally coupled to one another by a vertical pivot. An actuator is coupled to the frame segments for articulating the segments relative to one another to steer the vehicle. Each frame segment is provided with ground engaging wheels which support the respective frame segments. A work implement in the form of a backhoe is mounted to the second frame segment. A stabilizer having two stabilizer arms is mounted to the first frame segment. The stabilizer arms have a work position and a transport position. In its work position the stabilizer arms are lowered and the ground engaging wheels of the second frame segment are lifted off the ground. The actuator for steering the vehicle can then be used to pivot the backhoe about a vertical axis defined by the vertical pivot.
