  • Patent number: 7947932
Abstract: An open coil electrical resistance heater uses a number of offset insulators to support the coil of the heater. The offset insulators configure the run of coil in a sinusoidal shape to hold the insulators in a more secure manner and reduce vibration and noise generation during heat operation. The sinusoidal configuration of the coil also reduces the problem of shadowing of portions of the resistance wire coil.

  • Patent number: 7923667
Abstract: Electric Room Heater in its housing contains heaters which consist of strip of oriented cold rolled transformer sheet that are cooled by natural air circulation. Heater consists of two cross supports (11) connected by a central support (14). Between the cross supports are placed non-flammable insulating holders (13). The insulating holders have sprockets. Between sprockets lies strip of the heater of oriented cold rolled transformer sheet (12). The insulating holder (13) by its width (17) creates distance between layers of heater strips, and by sprockets width (18) makes distance between adjacent strips, windings, in the layer. These distances make channels for air circulation, thus enabling strip temperature to be less then 100° C.

  • Patent number: 7618588
Abstract: An integrate device includes a heater thermally coupled to a plurality of flow-through tubes to perform thermally-driven chemical reactions. A wire mesh heater is wrapped around each of multiple flow-through tubes, thereby creating a thermal interface between the mesh and the tubes. Each end of the wire mesh is coupled to an electrical contact. The electrical contacts are preferable positioned at an exterior portion of the integrated device to be easily placed in electrical contact with a voltage source. As current passes through the mesh, heat is produced. The heat passes from the mesh to each of the flow-through tubes via the thermal interface. The flow-through tubes can be fluidically coupled to a sample preparation module. The sample preparation module, the flow-through tubes, and the heater can be integrated within a single integrated device that provides automated sample preparation and thermally-driven chemical reactions for a variety of applications.

  • Patent number: 7595465
Abstract: Device for keeping a heating wire (2) in position in a horizontal oven includes a ceramic bar (3) and a number of ceramic spacer elements (4). Each spacer element consists of a bar-shaped part, on which a Y-shaped part (6) is placed near the center of the bar-shaped part. The V-shaped part of the Y-shaped part can partially enclose the bar. Near one end, the bar-shaped part is preferably provided with a transverse part, which is at right angles to the bar-shaped part and runs parallel to the Y-shaped part, so that a U-shaped recess is created which can accommodate the heating wire and the other side of the Y-shaped part and the bar-shaped part together form an L-shaped recess in which the heating wire can also be accommodated. The one end of each spacer element is provided with a projection and the other end with a recess.

  • Patent number: 7592572
Abstract: A cartridge heater, especially a compressed cartridge heater (1) has at least one heating coil (8, 9), which is arranged exposed in a metallic tubular body (2) and is embedded in a granulated insulating material. The ends of heating coil portions (8, 9) are provided with terminals (7) projecting from the tubular body (2). To make it possible to manufacture such a cartridge heater with minimal effort in terms of labor and material, a flat insulating plate (10) coordinated in its width with the internal diameter of the tubular body (2) is provided as the carrier. The heating coils (8, 9) extend along the two flat sides of the insulating plate (10) and the two heating coils (8, 9) are connected to one another by a coil section (12, 12?), which is led around a deflecting edge (27) of the insulating plate (10).
