  • Patent number: 6216899
Abstract: The present invention refers to a box for transporting and storing different products, which is made of wood and can be fully assembled and disassembled. The box is suitably used for transporting pieces and automotive parts for long distances. The improved box comprises a pallet type bottom plate (10), side plates (20) and upper cover (30), said side plates (20) being coupled (i) together by means of pairs of hinges (24; 25), (ii) to bottom plate (10) by means of pairs of parts (27; 28) in the lower portion that cooperate with the respective pairs of parts (12′; 13′) of said bottom plate (10) and (iii) to cover (30) by means of latches (20′; 30′). In a first embodiment of the present invention, all said pairs of hinges (24; 25), pairs of parts (27; 28) of side plates and said pairs of parts (12′; 13′) of bottom plate (10) face the interior of said box.

  • Patent number: 6170687
Abstract: An apparatus packaging enclosure includes end members (preferably injection molded plastic) of desired configuration to define a cross-sectional shape including a desired height and width to the packaging enclosure. Spaced-apart elongate fastener members (preferably extruded aluminum) extend longitudinally between the end members to define therewith a desired length to the packaging enclosure. Devices secure opposite ends of the fastening members to the inside surfaces of respective end members at generally outer peripheral areas of the end members. Elongate panels (preferably pultruded plastic) extend between the end members and around the outside of the fastener members to define outside surfaces of the packaging enclosure. Devices secure longitudinal edges of the panels to the fastener members. The panels are positioned within the edges an abutting relationship with inside surfaces of the end members.

  • Patent number: 6170689
Abstract: A collapsible container includes a substantially rectangular plastic base, a first plastic wall coupled by a first hinge to a first edge of the base, and a second plastic wall coupled by a second hinge to a second edge of the base opposite the first edge of the base. A first corrugated element is folded to form a first corrugated floor portion and a first corrugated wall portion, wherein the first corrugated floor portion is attached to the base so that the first corrugated wall portion is positioned between and adjacent to the first and second plastic walls. The first corrugated wall portion mates with a first lip of the first plastic wall and a first lip of the second plastic wall.

  • Patent number: 6170686
Abstract: The container has a pallet-like base platform (1), provided with short vertical tubes (5) at its vertices, into which two side panels (7-7′) can be inserted, which are definitively secured to the base platform with the aid of pressure-activated joining clips (16-17), while the back wall (20) and front wall (21) are subsequently secured to said side panels (7-7′) with the aid of clamping pins (24), formed by a roughly rectangular rod, open at one of its vertices, one of whose end sections can be fitted into aligned holes (18-19) on the panels, while the rest of the rod acts as a clamp which appropriately connects the vertical posts to be joined. Thus, the container is easily assembled and disassembled without threaded fasteners, by means of the aforementioned clips (16) and clamping pins (24).
