  • Patent number: 7878425
Abstract: A conventional liquid spray gun having a compressed air supply equipped with a liquid, e.g. paint, container for supplying the liquid to be sprayed onto a target surface. The container has a closed bottom, an open top and a cylindrical sidewall. A removable cover is attached over the open top of the container, and the cover has a pair of apertures extending through it, one of which holds a proximal end of a rigid tube whose distal end extends to a point close to the container's bottom. Slidingly mounted on the rigid tube is a generally circular, movable plunger whose periphery engages the cylindrical sidewall of the container. Pressurized air injected through the second aperture in the cover forces the plunger against the liquid's surface and causes the liquid to flow through the lumen of the rigid tube to the liquid inlet port of the spray gun.

Abstract: A container lining device and a method for using the same are disclosed. The container lining device for being installed in a container includes a sealed rectangular bag made of a pliable material and having a single-layer or multi-layer bag wall. The bag has a front side centrally provided with a valve, and a rear side provided transversely and longitudinally with plural pulling straps whose free ends extend out from edges of the bag. Liquid or fluid cargo is delivered into and out of the container lining device through the valve. After unloading, the container lining device is taken out through an opening of the container and replaced by another such container lining device to facilitate reloading. The container lining device facilitates saving the time and cost otherwise required for cleaning the container, increasing the utilization rate and service life of the container, and lowering overall cargo transportation costs.

Abstract: A palletized shipping container (10) for bulk handling of liquids and fluent materials has a collapsible inner bag (30) enclosed in a flexible outer liner/bag (11) having rigid stiffener panels (20) in pocketed sides. The inner bag has a bung at its top end for filling or discharge and a valve fitment (50) near the bottom for receiving a discharge valve. Tape tabs (34, 19) at upper ends of the inner bag and outer liner/bag attach to the top panel and/or stiffener panels to maintain the bags in an erect uncollapsed configuration. The stiffener panels prevent bulging of the inner bag and provide vertical support, but their lateral sides are spaced apart and form non-structural “floating corners” to maximize volume, minimize shock, vibration and abrasive forces on the inner bag, yet maintain impact and compression strength meeting international certification standards.

Abstract: The therapeutic hot and cold water belt (20), which offers comfortable relief from pain, is placed about the waist, lower abdomen, back or any other part of the body, and then secured in place by an elasticized belt terminating in a hook-and-loop fastener system. The belt includes a water pouch (32) to receive and contain water. Ribs (46, 48, 50) are secured to the inside of the pouch, which divide it into compartments (46a, 46b, 46c, 46d), and maintain the shape of the pouch so that it will not balloon out when the water is inserted therein. The ribs also limit and thereby conserve the amount of water placed in the pouch. For comfort against the body, the pouch may be covered with a combed cotton material (54), which is secured also by a hook-and-loop fastener system. A funnel opening (34) to the pouch allows easy filling of the pouch with water. The funnel opening is secured with a screw (42) to prevent any pressure on the pouch from forcing the water flow out.
