Abstract: A lid for a container assembly is disclosed. The lid is configured for locking engagement with the container such that accidental or unintentional removal of the lid from the container is resisted. The lid includes an outer skirt that overlies the outer surface of the container about an upper rim. The outer skirt includes a plurality of lid locking members that are disposed at spaced apart intervals about the outer periphery of the skirt and extend inwardly, relative to the outer skirt, for engaging an outwardly extending container lip. Disposition of the lid on the container is with effect that the plurality of lid locking members deflect outwardly as the lid is displaced downwardly over the container lip, the lid locking members returning to their inwardly disposed position once clear of the lip. The inward disposition of the lid locking members effects a robust engagement between the container and lid.

Abstract: A cosmetic jar having a replaceable inner cup is provided. Two symmetric tabs are provided at an upper opening of an inner cup, the tabs each are provided with a tab clamping portion, accommodation regions recessed inward in a radial direction and shaped as a notch are symmetrically formed on an external thread of the outer jar, and an outer jar clamping portion is respectively provided at the accommodation regions. When the tabs are bent downward, the tab clamping portion can be clamped in the outer jar clamping portion to connect the inner cup into the outer jar. After materials in the original inner cup is used up, the empty inner cup can be taken out by releasing the connection between the tab clamping portion and the outer jar clamping portion, and a replacement inner cup is placed and fastened in the outer jar.

Abstract: An electronic component storage container includes a main body including recesses to store electronic components and positioned along a longitudinal direction of the main body and respectively including openings on one side in a height direction of the main body, a cover sheet to cover the openings of the recesses and removably attached to the main body, and a cover positioned such that the cover sheet is between the cover and the main body and engaged with the main body, slidably in the longitudinal direction. The cover includes a guide section to guide sliding movement relative to the main body, and a fitting section engageable with the main body in the height direction. The main body includes a strip section engageable with the guide section to allow the main body to be held by the cover in the height direction.

Abstract: A reinforced plastic container having improved rim planarity. The container has a non-round main body portion integral with a finish portion. The main body portion has a central longitudinal axis and defines a hollow interior of the container. The finish portion has an upper surface defining a rim with a circumference framing a round opening that provides access to the hollow interior of the container, a radially outwardly extending snap bead being adapted to receive and retain a closure and hermetically seal the container and including interrupted portions located around the circumference of the rim, and a plurality of reinforcements located in the interrupted portions of the snap bead and assuring substantial planarity of the upper surface of the rim even when substantial forces act on the container. Each reinforcement has a strut bounded by and centered between a pair of strut indents, with each indent supported by a buttress.

Abstract: An explosion-proof pressure-tight housing for electrical operating device has a rigid lower shell and an elastic upper shell terminating the lower shell in the manner of a cover, wherein the lower shell includes a base, preferably formed as a rounded rectangle, and also includes side walls, the outer surfaces of which are inclined inwardly by an acute angle, where the elastic upper shell has a cover base and side walls, which are splayed outwardly at the angle, the inside width of the upper shell is smaller than the outside width of the lower shell, and the upper shell is pressed with the lower shell such that a flameproof gap is formed between the side walls of the upper shell and the side walls of the lower shell.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an injection molded lid for use with a container. The lid includes a lid body and a securing member, respectively made of a first material and a second material. The lid body includes a cover portion and a flange portion disposed around the periphery of the cover portion. One side wall of the flange portion has one or more notches. The securing member includes at least one tab and a frame disposed at the flange portion. The tab extends from the top or bottom of the frame and covers the notch. Also disclosed herein is a container and lid assembly that includes a container and an above-described injection molded lid.

Abstract: A pit and an extension, each having flanges extending perpendicular to an axis of the pit and extension. The pit includes holes extending outwardly in the wall of the pit, preferably these holes are located at one end of the pit. Surfaces of the flanges are configured to mate together and clips secure the flanges together to inhibit movement apart of the pit and extension along the axis. In certain embodiments, the extension includes support ribs which may be both interior and exterior and the extension narrows from its flange towards an opposite end thereof.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are modular container systems having child-resistant containers, tray inserts and tray frames. Also disclosed are methods using the modular container systems and methods of storing substances in containers. The containers have a container base and a container cap and provide for child-resistant containers. A user can releasably remove the container cap from container base with a squeeze and lift sequence. For example, the user squeezes opposite sides of the container base, which releases a locking mechanism and allows for removal of the cap by lifting or pulling the container cap off from the container base. The components of the modular container system are modular and stackable. The modular system allow for organized, efficient, accessible and storage of the child-resistant containers. The modular container system also allows for easy counting, sorting and processing of the containers.

Abstract: The dish is formed by pressing a palm leaf to form a generally concave dish with a floor surrounded by sides extending to an upper edge. A rim extends laterally from this upper edge, formed as a unit with the floor and sides of the dish. A lid is provided which has a top surface with side walls extending down to a perimeter latch. This perimeter latch engages the dish, such as by snapping onto the rim. In one embodiment the perimeter latch extends downwardly from other portions of the lid and has at least one indentation which extends inwardly thereon to provide an upper recess above the indentation which is sized to receive a tip of the rim. A height of the upper recess is oversized relative to a thickness of the tip of the rim to accommodate some variation in dish thickness and some degree of dish warping.

Abstract: A packaged roast and ground coffee product comprising a lightweight, thin-walled reclosable container comprising a moisture barrier and an oxygen barrier, and a quantity of roast and ground coffee disposed within the container. The container comprises a finish having a top surface and one or more snap beads positioned below the top surface. A sealing member may be sealed to the top surface and may include a one-way valve permitting venting of CO2 resulting from off-gassing of the roast and ground coffee while preventing ingress of air. A removable overcap comprising a top wall and a depending skirt may be affixed to the finish. The skirt may include an inner surface with at least one locking member dimensioned to engage the snap beads in an interference fit. The packaged roast and ground coffee is preferably capable of withstanding stacking loads and loads associated with decreased interior pressure.

Abstract: A lid for a beverage cup includes a mouth opening, an aroma opening, and a concentrator member. The mouth opening is positioned closer to a rim of the lid than the aroma opening. An area of the aroma opening is greater than an area of the mouth opening. The concentrator member surrounds the aroma opening and extends from a plane formed by the aroma opening to a height above the aroma opening. A cross sectional area of the concentrator decreases in a direction from a base to an upper end of the concentrator, creating a concentration of beverage aromas in the space surrounding a user's nose. The concentrator channels a concentrated amount of aroma to the nose, providing an enhanced drinking and tasting experience.

Abstract: A carrier mounts an aerosol spray can on a backpack, a belt loop or the like. The carrier has a pair of downwardly depending skirts that are radially spaced from each other, and also has an upper connector section. There are two lower catches, one on each skirt, which snap onto the top of the can in opposed directions. There may also be a positive stop along an inner side of the outer skirt.

Abstract: The invention relates to a wiper drive for a rear window wiper of a motor vehicle, comprising a drive unit having a wiper shaft for the oscillating pivoting about a rotational axis, and having a protective cap surrounding the wiper shaft in an axial section, wherein the protective cap is connected to a housing of the drive unit by way of a radial press fit connection. The protective cap comprises a detent element engaging in a recess in the housing in order to absorb axial forces on the protective cap.

Abstract: A dispensing assembly includes a cartridge for containing a fluid and a mixer for mixing and dispensing the fluid. The cartridge includes a locking flange or wall and the mixer includes a locking latch configured to snap into and out of engagement with the locking flange. To this end, the mixer and the cartridge are coupled and uncoupled by a snap-on and snap-off engagement that does not require relative rotation of the mixer and the cartridge. The locking latch also includes a latch release mechanism such as a squeeze handle, a peel handle, or a locking ring for forcing the locking latch into and out of engagement with the locking flange. As a result, the connection of the mixer and the cartridge is a quick and easy process and cross contamination of fluids in multiple fluid cartridges is avoided.

Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of a vessel-lid combination includes a ceramic or glass vessel having an open top surrounded by a peripheral edge, a lid fabricated of a plastic material, and a seal structure. The lid is configured to attach to the open top by means of a latch or set of latches integrated with the lid, and the seal structure is configured to provide an air-tight seal between the lid and the peripheral edge of the vessel when the lid is attached to the vessel.

Abstract: A food package for sliced food products to be maintained with a fluffed appearance, the package including a base member forming a compartment for receiving the food product and a lid sealed to the compartment. The base member has a gripping portion and the lid has a tab which overlies the gripping portion when the lid is connected to the base member. In one form, the gripping portion of the base member has a plurality of edges that define an outer profile of the gripping portion and expose a portion of a lower surface of the tab. The outer profile limits tacking of the tab to the gripping portion when the lid and base member are cut from respective webs of material. Additionally, a method is provided for assembling a food container.

Abstract: A container configured to hold one or more units of a product is provided. The container may comprise a lid and a base. The lid may comprise a top wall and one or more lid sidewalls extending to a lower lip. A sealing member may be provided at the top wall in a channel defined therein. The base may comprise a bottom wall and one or more base sidewalls extending to an upper lip. Protrusions may extend from the base sidewalls. The lid may be moveable with respect to the base between a decoupled configuration and a coupled configuration. In the coupled configuration, the upper lip of the base may contact the sealing member of the lid to seal shut a storage compartment defined in the base. Further, the lower lip may engage the protrusions to retain the lid in the coupled configuration. A related method is also provided.

Abstract: An improved synthetic resin spout stopper to be combined with a discharge port of a container is provided. The spout stopper does not pose difficulty in breaking an annular score formed in an annular flange wall, when discarding the container. Damage to the annular score is avoided even if a considerably great impact is applied to the spout stopper owing to a fall of the container. Damage to the annular score is also avoided even when ultrasonic welding is adopted for welding the container and the spout stopper together. In an inner peripheral edge part of the annular flange wall, an annular additional score is disposed adjacent to the annular score radially outwardly of and/or radially inwardly of the annular score.

Abstract: A foldable food container includes a container body which is made of silicone material and formed with a receiving chamber and an upper open end, and a cover which is engaged on the top peripheral edge cover. A reinforced frame is built in a top peripheral edge of the open end of the container body, and on the top peripheral edge is provided at least one elastic nip portion. The reinforced frame is located below the peripheral edge of the cover, and a peripheral edge of the cover is engaged in the at least one nip portion of the top peripheral edge and pushed against the top peripheral edge of the container body by the nip portion, so that the open end of the contain body is sealed with the cover in an airtight manner.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide a waterproof box capable of improving waterproof performance and workability, and space-saving. When high-pressure washing is performed, washing water injected toward the waterproof box hits a peripheral wall of a box main body, and then washing water is increased along the peripheral wall. Since the increased washing water hits a lower surface of a first waterproof portion of a main body side waterproof structure, some force of the water is reduced. Furthermore, a part of the increase washing water passes through a space arranged inside of a wall upward.

Abstract: An all-plastic container comprising the combination of injection molded pail and lid. The lid initially locks onto the container at upper and lower undercuts and seals thereto by virtue of an inverted U-shaped peripheral section. A tear groove is formed in the lid skirt between the upper and lower locks to facilitate removal of the lower lock. The upper lock is segmented so as to make removal of the lid easier once the lower lock is removed. Indicia on the lid shows where the gaps in the lock segments are located. The lower lock may also be segmented to provide drainage for overfill which comes out of the pail when the lid is first applied. The lid and pail are dimensioned to provide a wedge seal between an unflanged pail rim and the top lock and to maintain a strong connection and seal even after the lower lock is removed.

The second lid element (20) has a continuous peripheral edge profile (21) and a vertical profiled section (22) which embraces the locking projections (12) from outside when the second lid element (20) is placed on the container element. A profiled tongue (23) at the end of the vertical profiled section (22) resiliently engages with the locking projections (12) while temporarily and peripherally tensioning the profiled section (22).

Abstract: A closure system for a container includes a pair of primary anchors located opposite one another on an exterior surface of the neck. Each primary anchor has vertical and horizontal portions. A cap has an upper surface and a series of walls depending downwardly therefrom and at least first and second locking tabs extending downwardly from an underside of the cap. The locking tabs are located opposite one another, and there is at least one rib between the walls of the cap and the locking tabs. Each of the locking tabs has an inwardly extending anchor tab on an inside surface thereof the locking tab. The anchor tabs are arranged to engage the primary anchors when the cap is engaged with the neck and turned relative to the container. The vertical portions of the primary anchors are arranged to positively stop further rotation of the cap relative to the container.

Abstract: Two embodiments of a molded plastic container/closure combination are described. Each can be structured to provide a child resistant opening feature and, optionally, a tamper-evident feature. In both embodiments, the closure has radially extending bayonets arranged around an outer skirt, which bayonets can be rotated into a position underlying semi-annular ribs in a beam molded integrally with the sidewall of the container. Rotation of the closure in the unlocking direction is opposed by a structure which requires depression of a release tab downwardly. In one embodiment, depression of the release tab requires that a frangible element first be fractured and removed from the container sidewall. In the second embodiment, depressing the release tab is made possible by a living hinge formed on one side of the release tab.

Abstract: A screw closure (10) has a screw cap (1) and a tamperproof band (5). The screw cap (1) has a head plate (2) with a cylindrical lateral cap surface (3,provided with an internal thread (4) and wherein the tamperproof band (5) has a flexible band (6) and is connected to the lower periphery of the lateral cap surface (3) via one or more easy-tear elements (7). In order to create a screw closure which has a flexible band and, even with relatively large tolerance deviations between the closure and container neck, still ensures that the tamperproof band can be reliably torn off is thus providing enhanced functional reliability. The flexible band (6) is a continuously encircling flexible band which, distributed over its circumference, has portions (8) which can be extended easily and, therebetween, portions (9) which are less easy to extend.

Abstract: There is shown in a pill blister pack container for holding a pill blister pack. The container having a central structure with a hollowed interior configured to hold the blister pack. A top is secured to the central structure by a hinge member and has a closure structure secured configured to maintain the top in a closed portioned. The closure structure includes corresponding first locking members formed on forward facing surfaces to cooperate in maintaining the cap in the closed position along with corresponding second locking members formed on side facing surfaces and formed on the top to further maintain the cap in the closed positioned.

Abstract: An exemplary embodiment of a vessel-lid combination includes a glass, ceramic or metal vessel having an open top surrounded by a peripheral edge, a lid fabricated of a plastic material, and a seal structure integrated with the lid to form a unitary structure. The lid is configured to attach to the open top by means of a latch or set of latches integrated with the lid, and the seal structure is configured to provide an air-tight seal between the lid and the peripheral edge of the vessel when the lid is attached to the vessel. In one exemplary embodiment, the vessel is a container fabricated of a glass suitable for baking or oven heating applications.

Abstract: A lid is provided for covering or sealing a cup by engaging a rim flange of the cup. The lid includes a top portion and an annular side plate which extends downwardly from periphery of the top portion. The plate is formed with a hole. An engagement plate is disposed on the side plate. A bottom edge of the engagement plate is connected to the plate. A top edge of the engagement plate stretches upwardly along the hole, so that the engagement plate is located in the hole. The plates are flexible. As such, the engagement plate can be pressed and bent inwardly when the lid covers a cup. The engagement plate would then engage with the rim flange of the cup so as to enhance engagement of the lid and the cup.

More specifically, the present invention relates to a closure for an access aperture in a panel, such as a closure for an oil filter access aperture in an engine cover. The present invention comprises a single-piece rotatably-engageable access closure element having a plurality of tension arms and adapted to seal an access aperture having cutouts corresponding to each of the plurality of tension arms.

Abstract: A package of smokeless tobacco includes a flavor patch located in the package to provide flavor to smokeless tobacco. Also disclosed is a method of packaging smokeless tobacco by combining a package with a flavor patch disposed inside the package, the flavor patch comprising a flavor and an adsorbent, so that the flavor patch resides in an interior of the package; and adding smokeless tobacco to the package with the flavor patch.

Abstract: The present invention can magnify a sealing characteristic and prevent deformation of hard rubber by coupling a container body with a rib formed on an external cap and through double-injection molding by an elastomer having a different elastic restoring force from the hard rubber charged and hardened in an injection concave groove of a support body that accommodates an internal container, in order to maximize product reliability by improving a sealing structure of a make-up base container or a cosmetic container and providing a clear air-tight effect since the sealing structure cannot be transformed even in case of long-term use.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a container comprising a container body with bottom and side walls and a container opening, and a container closure (1), said body and closure comprising corresponding screw threads (3) to allow releasable attachment of the closure onto the body in order to open/close the container opening, characterized in that the container body comprises at least one cam-like means (4) located on the external surface of the container body walls, and the closure comprises at least one engagement means (5) corresponding to the cam-like means of the container body, said engagement means being located at the internal surface of the closure walls, so positioned that during the screwing operation of said closure onto said container body, said cam-like and engagement means cooperate in a audible manner at the time said closure is sufficiently engaged onto the body to ensure gas and/or liquid tightness of the closed container.

Abstract: A cup assembly for holding a sample to be analyzed spectrochemically, includes a tubular longitudinal member which is disposed symmetrical about a central axis. The tubular member extends longitudinally between a first end and a second end. An indented peripheral flange is defined at the second end. The indented flange has an inverted L shaped cross-section. An annular collar extends longitudinally between a first end and a second end. An internal peripheral flange is defined at the first end. The internal flange has an inverted L shaped cross-section complementing the indented flange of the tubular member. When a substantially thin film is interposed between the second end of the tubular member and the first end of the annular collar, the film is retained between the sample cell body and the collar between the indented flange and the internal flange. The cup may have a funnel shaped sample retaining chamber.

Abstract: A package has a base for holding foodstuff objects, a cover fittable downwardly over the lid and having a rim with a rear edge and a front edge parallel thereto, and a hinge interconnecting the cover and base at the rear edge for movement between an open position with the rims separated at the front edge and a closed position with the rims engaging each other at the front edge. A female formation open vertically at one of the rims toward the other of the rims has a recess with a rear side formed by a forwardly projecting counterhook and a front side defined by a flank extending vertically forward and toward the other rim. A male formation projecting vertically from the other of the rims toward the one rim is fittable into the recess and has a hook matable with the counterhook.

Abstract: A lid is provided for engagement with a projecting rim of an opening on a container. The lid includes a covering panel for closing the container opening and a skirt formed on a periphery of the cover and depending therefrom. The skirt overlaps with the container rim when the cover is positioned over the opening. The skirt includes a defined gap therein that is positioned between adjacent gap edges. A clasp is provided on the periphery of the cover adjacent the defined gap. The clasp pivots between an open position and an engaged position. In the engaged position, the clasp engages the gap edges and draws the edges toward one another. The drawing of the gap edges moves the skirt inwardly towards the container rim. The lid may further include a flexing portion defining a connection between the cover panel and the skirt. The engagement of the clasp on the skirt causes compliance of the flexing portion and a corresponding axial movement of the skirt relative to the cover panel.
