Abstract: A folding chair including holders for stacking and connection of multiple chairs to each other is provided. Each folding chair includes a back support member pivotally connected to a seat member, front and rear leg frames pivotally connected proximal to front ends and rear ends of opposing side bars of the seat member, respectively, and arm rests pivotally connected to opposing side bars of the back support member. The folding chair includes one or more first and second holders operably attached to the back support member and the rear leg frame, respectively. Using the first and second holders, the folding chair is connectable to another folding chair and in turn to another folding chair(s) to form a connected stack of folding chairs that can be carried and transported by a user.

Abstract: A transformable floor chair has a seat and a back. The seat has straps for carrying the chair when transformed into a transportation configuration. The straps are located on the underside of the seat when in a deployed configuration. A backpack including zippered enclosure is affixed to the rear of the floor chair back. The backpack remains usable and functional when in either the transportation configuration or the deployed configuration. When transformed into the transportation configuration, the upper portion of the seat is secured to the front face of the chair back, thereby sandwiching the chair between the straps and the backpack.

Abstract: A portable child safety restraint system is provided. The portable child safety restraint system includes a child safety seating system and a backpack. The child safety seating system includes a seat bottom that is connected to a seat back such that the seat bottom is rotatable from an open position to a closed position. The child safety seating system is entirely removable from the backpack or permanently secured to or within at least one enclosure of the backpack. A method of securing a child in a portable child safety restraint system is also provided.

Abstract: An apparatus for securing items to a pack for ready and convenient access is provided. The apparatus includes a load rail for use in connection with a pack, such as a backpack. The load rail comprises an elongated body formed of a dimensionally stable material having first and second end portions. The end portions may take the form of depending feet for attaching to the pack via fasteners. A plurality of load rails may be provided along one side of the pack, such as opposite the side including one or more straps for being worn by a user, and may associate with a connector for connecting gear to the pack via the load rails. When mounted, an intermediate portion of the or each load rail may be raised above and spaced from a surface of the pack to facilitate receipt of a portion of the connector.

Abstract: In one example, a backpack chair includes a U-shaped frame to form a base for the backpack chair. The U-shaped frame has two sides connected to each other by a semicircular section. In a sitting mode where the backpack chair is for sitting, the two sides of the U-shaped frame extend in a horizontal plane and the semicircular section extends in a substantially vertical plane. In a backpack mode where the backpack chair is carried as a backpack, the two sides extend in a vertical plane and the semicircular section extends in a substantially horizontal plane. The backpack chair comprises a top member that includes a combined seat and back support for the U-shaped frame. In the sitting mode, the top member is attached to the U-shaped frame, and in the backpack mode, the top member is detached from the U-shaped frame.

The resting panel retains an injured animal in a semi-recumbent position. The first wing and the second wing enclose the sides of the resting panel preventing the injured animal from being displaced from the proper securing position. The first handle and the second handle provide the user with gripping surfaces to easily transport the present invention into and out or a passenger car. The standing base retains the present invention securely on top of the car-seat. The car-seat securing mechanism prevents the present invention ensure the present invention remains mounted when the car accelerates or changes direction.

Abstract: A lightweight child carrier that can be mounted upon the front or the back of a wearer's torso with little or no need to adjust the carriers harness. The carrier includes a main panel having generally a rectangular shape. The bottom edge of the main panel is joined to the top edge of a padded waist band and the bottom edge of a head restraining panel is joined to the top edge of the main panel. Shoulder straps are connected to the main panel and are cojoined by a chest strap that is slidably mounted upon each shoulder strap. Adjustable restraining straps are connected to the chest strap and to the head restraining panel. A backpack body comprising a carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) material may be coupled to the hollow lower part of the handle assembly wherein the backpack body may include spinable wheels, an adjustable seat, and adjustable footrests for simultaneous human and luggage transportation.

Significantly, such multi-purpose items of luggage offer users access to safety devices unavailable to users of ordinary luggage, enabling such users to have access to lifesaving equipment without requiring the user to carry a dedicated PFD or rescue harness. In one embodiment a backpack includes an emergency lower opening that can be used to remove heavy items while the user is still wearing the backpack, to increase the buoyancy of the survival backpack by eliminating ballast. In another embodiment, a backpack includes a peripheral zipper that separates the backpack into first and second portions, one portion to be worn over the chest and the other portion to be worn over the back.
