Abstract: A carrier apparatus for use by fire fighters to carry fire hose, and to serve as a personnel carrier; a carrier body of flaccid material about five feet long has a bottom and side walls, and at one end there is an end wall, and portions of the side walls adjacent the end wall being perpendicular to the bottom and end wall. Handles and securing straps are provided. A continuous length of fire hose is placed in two side by side stacks, with a connecting portion from one stack to the other; a strap with hook and pile type fastener, such as sold under the trademark Velcro fastener extends around one stack and is released by force applied through the connecting portion of the fire hose.

Abstract: Apparatus consisting of a carrying pole and related equipment capable of releasable attachment on the one hand to frame members of at least two backpack frames worn by human bearers and on the other hand either directly to a load or to a portable carrier in which a patient or goods may be transported. The design affords a high degree of flexibility in carrying loads over difficult terrain with the use of the body's strongest carrying muscles. In different embodiments it may be used with either specialized or standard backpack frames.

Abstract: A baby lift, carrier and pad assembly specifically structured to allow lifting and/or transporting of a baby or infant comprising a base and a tail portion attached thereto, both of which are formed from a flexible material thereby allowing portions of the assembly to be disposed in a folded over relationship in at least partially covering position relative to an infant disposed on the inter surface of the assembly. A liner sheet or element is disposed on the interior of the assembly and is formed from a liquid impermeable material thereby preventing transfer or passage of liquid through the interior of the assembly from one surface to the other. Abstract: A multiple position infant carrier in which a main member of flexible material is supported at the front of a person carrying the infant by a main strap extending over one shoulder and around the back of the person, while a supplementary head strap extends over the other shoulder and around the back of the person to pass through loops on the main member, the arrangement of the loops and the head strap establishing a seat portion and back and head support portions for the infant.
