The assembly includes a pocket having a front panel, a rear panel, a closed bottom end, an open top, a first side, and a second side. The first side and second side each extend between the bottom end and the open top. A pair of leg apertures extends through the front panel proximate the bottom end of the pocket to receive legs of an infant positioned in the pocket. A first strap is coupled to the rear panel of the pocket for coupling the pocket to a person. A first side closure and second side closure are each coupled to and extend along opposite side of the pocket to allow use of the pocket in an open position as a changing pad.

The latch members are co-rotatable with the handle and the hollow connectors relative to the pivot plates about a rotation axis from an upright position to a lie-back position relative to the basket body when the latch members are disengaged from the notches, respectively.

Abstract: The present invention provides an improvement that can be used on any baby carrier in place of a conventional buckle waist or a conventional tie waist. The wide strap system is threaded through a set of rings or a large buckle on the side of a wearer's torso and can increase comfort, support and smooth the appearance of bulging that a typical narrow or tying waist strap waist gives to the wearer. Therefore, women and men will use the improved baby carrier for a longer period of time, thus increasing the bonding experience between parent and child.

The multi-function cart comprises two shells that can be secured together to form a transportable storage container. When separated, each shell is convertible into various configurations that can be used to sustain life during and after a disaster as well as to clean-up and rebuild after a disaster has occurred. The multi-function cart can also be used recreationally. In this manner, the multi-function cart enables victims to quickly care for themselves, and encourages victims to immediately begin the clean-up and rebuilding process. Each shell is convertible into different configurations using various tubes. Hub brackets on opposing sides of the shell include adapters to which any of the tubes can be connected. The tubes can be connected to the adapters in an upward or a downward orientation to form different configurations.

The child carrier may include a pouch assembly including a bottom portion and a front portion, where the weight of the child in a first position is configured to be substantially supported by the bottom portion. The child carrier may further include a removable insert configured to be removably installed into the child carrier, where when the removable insert is installed in the child carrier, the weight of the child in a second position is configured to be substantially supported by the removable insert. The resulting improved baby carrier physically blocks and/or damps the force of kicks and other motions of an infant positioned in the baby carrier, particularly a front facing infant having a degree of leg movement freedom. The guard may be shaped with a substantially widened portion to provide increased coverage for the entire pelvic area of the caregiver. This comprehensive protection may be especially appreciated by male caregivers, whose pelvic regions would otherwise be unprotected. A variety of form factors are described, including a hanging guard, a pocketed guard, a wrap-around guard, and a through-buckle guard.

The child-carrying device includes a dual-shoulder harness, a rigid bar assembly including a rigid bar, and a hand/wrist support assembly slidable along the rigid bar. The rigid bar assembly is secured transversely between frontal strap portions of the harness. The movable hand/wrist support assembly can freely move along a portion of the bar toward on either side of the front of the wearer's rib cage, and optionally rotate about the bar. The device allows the wearer to support a child with their arm using minimal exertion.

Abstract: A fire and heat resistant rescue device designed to offer a safe and effective means to protect and remove, during an emergency, infants, toddlers, children or other persons from hazardous atmospheres which may include heat, flame, toxic gases and fumes, hazardous materials, and other dangerous exposures. This design was developed to give a firefighter/rescuer a way to safely move a potential victim through a dangerous environment found during a house or structure fire, but also has broader rescue and situational uses when protecting and moving a victim from a hazardous area. This device uses compressed air, when required, to supply slight positive air pressure inside the bag, thus excluding entry of heat, smoke, and other hazards. It is designed to function as a raising or lowering device when needed. It is also designed to allow the rescuer to perform CPR in non hazardous atmospheres, when required.

Abstract: The present invention relates generally to infant support garments configured for supporting and maintaining an infant against a wearer of the garment. In one exemplary embodiment, the garment provides a first pocket suitable for placement and securing of an infant. The garment further provides a second pocket that is adjustable to provide further securing and support of the infant. In one particular exemplary embodiment, the garment further provides a third pocket for added securing and support.

The invention includes an enclosure defining an interior space configured for receiving an individual, a harness, and one or more cable securements. The enclosure includes a bottom surface, a sidewall having an internal surface and an external surface, and a closure mechanism coupled to the sidewall and configured for at least partially isolating the interior space from a surrounding environment. In another aspect, the invention relates to a rescue apparatus including a harness assembly and a cable attached thereto.

The garment may also be comprised of netting or mesh fabric. The garment is designed to allow both parent and child to lie down and sleep safely and securely together. The garment has a zipper on the front portion to open and close the garment so that a child may be zipped into the garment with the adult. The garment has a square-neckline designed to position a child laying face down on the sternum of a supine adult and to expose at least the head and arms of the child. The garment may have a flap on the front portion which covers the zipper pull. The garment may also have buttons, snaps, or hook and loop as a fastener.

The belt fasteners are positioned at each end of the belt with the ability to connect to one another within a range of predetermined locations to adjust the diameter of the loop. A carrier receives and supports the baby. The carrier has a receptacle for receiving the belt post and a handle to facilitate gripping by the person. The carrier receptacle is positioned on the carrier for receiving the post to connect the carrier to the belt in a predetermined relation so that the baby is positioned at the ergonomic position substantially over the center of gravity and around the waist of the person so that the weight of the carrier is not concentrated at the lower back of the person.

The first loop of material and the second loop of material may be connected in an upper back region of the wearer. First and second handholds may be provided at the shoulder area of the first and second loops of material. The child carrier may have positions to attach accessories such as a water bottle, small enclosure for storage, and the like. In a first embodiment, a rigid or semi-rigid elongated platform having a width adapted to permit a child to stand on the platform may be suspended from the back of the shoulder harness by flexible straps, where the platform may be compact folding to allow the entire child carrier to be stored in a small pouch.
