In aspects, the metalized layer reflects thermal radiation away from a covered electronic component or device.

Abstract: A magnetically configurable strap accessory for a mobile communications device and method of using the same is disclosed. The magnetically configurable strap accessory includes a strap and a base. The strap includes at least one strap magnet. The base includes at least one base magnet and a sleeve disposed at a first end of the base into which a portion of the strap can be retracted when the accessory is in a closed position and from which a portion of the strap can be extended when the accessory is in an open position. In the closed position, the strap is held in a substantially flat position against the base by way of magnetic attraction between at least one of the strap magnets and at least one of the first base magnets. In an open position, the strap is held in a substantially arched position with respect to the base hereby forming a loop between the base and the strap.

Abstract: A holder for a handheld electronic device, the holder including a container defining a space for receiving the handheld electronic device and an inner surface facing inwardly towards the space. At least a portion of the inner surface includes an infrared-neutral material or coating operative for interacting with infrared light emitted from the handheld electronic device and received by the infrared-neutral material. The interaction is such that, while the handheld electronic device is being received by the container, any reflected infrared signal effected by the interaction is inoperative for effecting activation of a functionality of the handheld electronic device when the reflected infrared signal is sensed by the handheld electronic device.

Abstract: A concealed carry weapon belt pouch for carrying a small firearm in a concealment pouch clipped to a wearer's waist belt. The pouch comprising a pouch body with integral spring tensioned handgun holster, a pouch cover flap with quick release fastener, and a spring tensioned belt clip. The pouch can be easily clipped and un-clipped from the belt with a spring clip. A flap covers the pouch opening while simultaneously holding the integral spring tensioned handgun holster portion of the pouch closed. Upon releasing the pouch flap the spring tensioned handgun holster tilts outward allowing easy access to the firearm.

Abstract: A belt mountable tool lanyard device includes an enclosure having diametrically opposed first and second openings, a plurality of internal dividers within the enclosure forming a plurality of lanyard device chambers wherein each chamber has at least one chamber opening that faces in the same direction as one of the first and second openings and wherein at least one of the plurality of chambers has a second chamber opening diametrically opposed to the one chamber opening forming a belt receiving loop.

Abstract: A holder for carrying cell phones and other small items is arranged to attach to a belt or other strap, or to a belt loop. The holder is of simple construction, including an elongated backing member and a cover that is attached to the bottom region of the backing member to form a pocket or holster that is open at the top. The backing member is divided near its upper end by a fold to form a first flap and a generally rectangular opening through the backing member, sized and shaped to accommodate a belt loop, is placed adjacent to and below the fold. A second flap is attached to the backing member at a location adjacent to and below the opening and is arranged to fold upwardly to cover the opening and to form a channel for a belt or other strap. The second flap is secured in that position by folding down the first flap and securing it to the second flap.

Abstract: A holder for a handheld electronic device, the holder including a container defining a space for receiving the handheld electronic device and an inner surface facing inwardly towards the space. Abstract: An interchangeable cumberbund with integrated wiring to allow for connecting a variety of electronic devices for an intended purpose or mission and exchanging a configured garment for another. The reconfigurable cumberbund allows for multiple quick-disconnect cable harnesses to be weaved into the cumberbund which enables rapid and convenient removal of hardware that incorporates all I/O to a computer. The reconfigurable cumberbund connected to a wearable tactical vest containing a mobile ultra-rugged personal computer is the essential combination that allows hands-free use by the user.

The invention features an accessory holder system for holding accessory items comprising at least one base plate comprising a top portion, a bottom portion, and a sidewall portion, a rubber band secured to the at least one base plate adapted to removably hold at least one accessory item inserted between the base plate and the rubber band, and attaching means for attaching the base plate to an object.

Abstract: The current invention discloses a safe and inexpensive tool holder designed to accommodates a pry bar or other tools. The holder comprises: a plate member having a top surface and a bottom surface, wherein the plate member has an elongated holding slot connecting the top surface to the bottom surface and sized to be a loose fit to the pry bar, the elongated holding slot roughly divides the plate member to a proximal section and a distal section; a blocking beam attached to the bottom surface of the plate member, residing adjacent to the elongated holding slot and on the distal section of the plate member; and attachment structures that affix the plate member to the belt. The pry bar holder may further comprise a specially designed backrest that attaches the pry bar holder to a belt.

Abstract: A tactical gun belt system comprises an inner belt, outer belt, and one or more belt units. The inner belt comprises hook-and-loop fasteners on an inner surface and an outer surface. The outer belt comprises a removable belt buckle and positions the one or more belt units about the waist of a user. The outer belt further comprises hook-and-loop fasteners on an inner surface and detachably affixes to the inner belt. The one or more belt units may attach to one another, may position guns, ammunition magazines, utilities, or pouches, and may comprise a quick-release harness for MOLLE-compatible accessories.

Abstract: The present invention includes a mountable holster for a package of stick electrodes and methods for mounting electrodes to an operator. In a particular embodiment, a mountable holster includes an electrode storage cavity extending longitudinally between a top receiving end and a bottom retaining end, a first surrounding member extending laterally about a perimeter of the electrode storage cavity, the first surrounding member forming the top receiving end of the holster; a pair of vertical members each extending longitudinally about the cavity along opposite sides of the cavity between the first surrounding strap and the bottom retaining end; a leg band extending from the holster and configured to be secured about a leg of an operator; and, a belt mount extending from the holster and configured to be secured to a belt of the operator.

Abstract: A backpack and cooperating waist bag carrying system is provided. The bag portion of the backpack releasably contains the receiver of a waist bag when the belt of the waist bag is secured around the bearer's waist and the backpack is worn on the bearer's back. The receiver of the waist bag can be moved without having to take off the backpack so that the receiver of the waist bag is disposed to the bearer's front and the bearer can gain access to the contents the receiver. The bearer can then move the receiver back to the lower region of the backpack. The combination of the backpack and the waist bag then will appear to be a normal backpack with a waist belt. While moving the receiver, the waist bag remains operatively connected to the backpack.

Abstract: The present invention provides a stabilized belt mounted fish landing net holster for anglers. The holster includes a belt-mounted base to which a cylindrical sleeve, which holds the handle of a landing net, is mounted in a vertical plane when the holster is worn on the belt of an angler or mounted to other gear such as back packs. The holster keeps the landing net secure, out of the way while fishing or walking and is easily withdrawn for use.

Abstract: A belt-mounted, two-way radio holder unit assembly of the present invention is comprised of two components, namely, a belt mount and a radio holder made of high strength plastic. The radio holder releasably engages the belt mount by means of a post and a disc of the radio holder which are inserted into a receiver of the belt mount. When the radio holder is unreleasably engaged with the belt mount, the radio holder can rotate within the receiver throughout a range of up to, but less than, 180 degrees in both of either a clockwise or a counter-clockwise direction without disengaging from the receiver. The rotational ability of the radio holder within the receiver allows a two-way radio to swivel and move freely in relation to a user's belt and body and, accordingly, the two-way radio does not bind when the user is in a seated position.

Abstract: An architecture is presented that provides a pouch assembly that provides a convenient place to secure various items picked up while cleaning. The pouch assembly comprises a pouch comprising a front panel, a back panel opposite the front panel, opposing side panels, and an open top. The opposing side panels are secured to the corners and bottom of the front panel and back panel to create a triangular shape and to form a pouch with a semi-circular opening at the top. The pouch assembly further comprises a waist belt for connecting the pouch to a user and for positioning the open top proximate a user's waist. The waist belt can be extensions of the back panel or secured to the pouch via at least one belt loop which runs the entire width of the top of the pouch and is formed from the back panel being folded over.

Abstract: A pouch for holding items is disclosed and is formed as a tube of a stretchable material with a plurality of openings therein. Items may be inserted through the openings and positioned within the pouch. The pouch may be manipulated to position the openings at various positions around the body. The openings may also be positioned on the outside, inside, top or other part of the pouch. The pouch has a substantially constant width to better camouflage items placed therein. The openings may include closures to prevent items from falling out. The pouch may be formed of a single circle or include closures for placing it around the body.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a waterproof case for protecting electronic devices. The waterproof case includes a flexible waterproof bag attached to a rigid lid that can be opened to allow electronic devices to pass into the bag. When closed, the lid forms a watertight seal that protects the inside of the bag from ingress of water. The lid can include a pass-through jack which allows a user to connect an electronic device, such as an audio device, to an output through the lid. The case may also be incorporated into a flexible attachment system, such as an armband or swimbelt. Methods of connecting an electronic device to an electronic output, such as an audio output, through a waterproof case are also provided.

Abstract: An ornamental belt buckle/cup-holder combination having a front plate pivotably connected at its lower end to the lower end of a back plate. The back side of the buckle includes brackets and a hook for securing a belt. The front side of the buckle includes ornamentation. The front and back plates are held in parallel abutment with magnets. A loop is pivotably mounted to the top of the back plate and is captured between the front plate and the back plate when they in parallel abutment. The loop is urged into a upward perpendicular position relative to the back plate with a spring. When the front plate is folded downward perpendicular to the back plate, it forms a lower horizontal surface for supporting the weight of a beverage container. The loop is then urged by the spring into an upper horizontal position for receiving and laterally supporting the beverage container.

Abstract: A housing assembly is constructed of a front and rear sheets. The rear sheet has a horizontal linear upper edge and a convex lower edge with curved first and second side edges. The rear sheet has an upper section with opposing side edges and a lower section with opposing convex side edges. The front sheet has a horizontal linear upper edge and a convex lower edge with curved side edges, the lower and side edges overlying and coupled to the lower and side edges of the rear sheet. The upper edge of the front sheet is parallel with and spaced below the upper edge of the rear sheet with an upper opening to define a primary pouch. A generally rectangular supplemental sheet is coupled at its side and lower edges to the front sheet to form a secondary pouch.

Abstract: A kit of fixation devices for cochlear implant speech processors comprising a spring loaded alligator clip including front and rear pivotally connected legs, a top portion of the front leg forming a support latch with an upper portion of one of several vertically extending cradles shaped to receive and support speech processors of different size while (i) allowing for replacement of the battery pack of the processor, (ii) protecting the control panel thereof against accidental actuation and (iii) supporting the processor cable, the front and rear legs of the alligator clip including hooks for engaging and capturing a safety pin that may have been already attached to the clothing of a user of the processor.

Abstract: A system for carrying articles from a belt worn on the body of a person or other animate bearer comprises a belt or elongated member (20) with a substantially planar rail (30) borne on the outside surface of the belt and a carrier (50) for articles attached to the rail by a sleeve sewn to the body of the carrier. The carrier (50) may be free to slide along the rail (30) or may be secured at least temporarily to the rail. The carrier (50) thereby can be moved along the rail when worn on the belt so that the bearer can place the carrier (50) in a more comfortable or useful position with respect to the body of the bearer and secure it in that position at least temporarily.

Abstract: A compact yet expandable waist belt with a pouch preferably formed from a single piece of seamless elastic fabric, designed in some embodiments with pleats in the back, that remains taut around the wearer's body during even the most rigorous physical activities, whether the pouch is holding one smaller item (such as a key) or multiple larger items (such as a cell phone, mp3 player, and/or money). When empty, the pouch is preferably approximately the same width and thickness as the belt holding the pouch in place, and yet the pouch's internal volume can expand up to 300-400% or more to hold larger items or a large number of small items. The single pouch is sealed with zipper or other fasteners such as Velcro® allowing users to access belongings quickly and easily.

Abstract: The nature of the technical disclosures of my new invention will demonstrate visually and with expression, the uniqueness of having a “Utility Pouch and Attachments” to carry school supplies or to a work place around the waist. The art of this new invention will minimize looking in back packs for certain school supplies or not enough storage spaces at work to place them; when these supplies are ready and available in separate attachments around the waist.

Abstract: The present invention relates to carrying apparatus manufacturing processes. One embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for coupling materials of dissimilar stiffness on a carrying apparatus. The method includes adhering a cover fabric member to a base fabric member of different stiffness using applied sandwich pressure and high frequency transmission. The high frequency transmission may include translating the fabric members so as to sequentially straddle a high frequency wheel along a perimeter of the cover fabric member. An adhesive agent is disposed between the cover fabric member and the base fabric member. The adhesion between the fabric members is configured to exceed a peel test tolerance of ten pounds. In addition, optional acts of applying high and low temperatures may be included to pre-tack the cover fabric member to the base fabric member.

Abstract: The invention relates to a carrier system having at least one back part and means for fastening to a human torso. The carrier system also has a hip belt which can be connected to the back part via at least one lateral support. It is provided that the back part comprises at least one substantially vertically running carrier strip, the carrier strip having coupling members for the coupling of a housing, in the interior of which are arranged electronic components, or of a frame for carrying loads. The housing has, on its end facing away from the back part, coupling members for the coupling of the frame for carrying loads. The housing and the frame are at least approximately matched in terms of height and width to the back part, and the housing and the frame are designed such that the housing and the frame can be coupled in each case directly to the coupling members. Furthermore, the frame can alternatively also be coupled to the coupling members of the housing.

Abstract: The pliable fisherman's caddy apparatus provides hands free carry of fishing equipment. Additionally, hands free carry of two fishing poles is provided. The apparatus is worn by the provided waist belt by a user, much like a fanny pack. Absolutely no impingement on a wearer's torso, arm movements, or leg movements are in any way experienced. Quick movement of the case from back to front, on a wearer, is as easy as spinning the belt. As the fisherman's caddy apparatus is lightweight, and waist worn, a user does not experience any balance issues when negotiating varied terrain.

Abstract: Cushioned and conforming body bands, belts, and holsters are provided herein. Some embodiments may include conforming bands that are adapted to surround at least a portion of an individual. The conforming bands may include body portions having an outer surface and an inner surface, the body portion including an integrally formed pouch, the pouch including at least two sidewalls that are spaced apart from one another and joined together along a common bottom edge to define a cavity for receiving a firearm.

Abstract: A system for allowing an archer to temporarily position, place, and carry a bow when the bow is not specifically being drawn on a target. The system comprises two parts, a first part fixed on the bow and a second part positioned on the archer, typically in association with an article of clothing on the archer. The first part is a ball shaped component fixed to the bow. The user then wears a socket type clip, where the socket is sized to accommodate the ball by simply dropping the ball in for a quick attach and detach. A slot in the socket allows quick drop in ability, but is sized to secure to the bow as it swings in the socket during normal walking, hunting, climbing, or other shooting activities. The socket clip is preferably attached to the user's belt but may alternately be attached to the user's clothing, vehicle, or other stationary object for secure and tactical bow retention.

The device consists of a vertical pocket covered by a fabric flap affixed to button/snap/Velcro which covers said pocket when engaged in front position (security position). In one or more implementations, an apparatus comprises a flexible shell configured to removably secure a power tool through flexing of the flexible shell and a portion connected to the flexible shell and configured to removably attach to an item that is wearable by a user. In one or more implementations, an apparatus comprises a component having two or more securing portions configured to removably secure a power tool by engaging a handle of the power tool, the two or more securing portions being separated by a sufficient distance such that the handle is graspable by a hand of a user and a portion connected to the component and configured to removably attach to an item that is wearable by a user.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for attaching an object to an elastic surface includes an elastic surface and a first flexible, linear fastener attached to the elastic surface by at least two opposite ends separated by a distance that is less than a diameter of an object to be fastened to the elastic surface. A second flexible, linear fastener is attached to the elastic surface by at least two opposite ends separated by a distance that is less than a diameter of an object to be fastened to the elastic surface. The first linear fastener and the second linear fastener are separated by a distance sufficient to insert a leading edge of the object between the first linear fastener and the elastic surface and to insert a trailing edge of the object between the second linear fastener and the elastic surface so that the first linear fastener and the second linear fastener hold the object against the elastic surface.

Abstract: A hammer holder having a support member for attachment to a belt, garment, tool bag or nail pouch of a hammer user. The hammer holder includes a U shaped chamber integrated with the support member and provides support for the hammer head and for the hammer handle in an upright vertical position when the support member is connected to a belt or a user. The chamber is large enough to contain the head of the hammer and includes stop means which prevents the head of the hammer from passing through the chamber or out the top of the chamber. A clip is attached to the support member for receiving the vertically oriented handle of the hammer and a movable gate member pivotally attached to the support member permits the hammer handle to move into the clip and spring back to prevent the handle from moving out of the clip.

Abstract: An improved stripping basket for fly fishing is disclosed. The stripping basket is easily compacted for stowing while on board a boat, or for packing the stripping basket in a suitcase for travel to a fishing destination. The basket comprises multiple removable line separators and drainage holes in a base plate. The base plate folds towards the front wall of the stripping basket. The front wall has multiple slits that correspond to the arrangement of the line separators. With the line separators still attached to the base plate, the stripping basket can be quickly unfolded for use. This is convenient when on board a boat, awaiting a turn to fish. For longer term storage, such when packing in a suitcase for travel, the line separators can be removed for maximum portability.

In the open position, spacing is provided between the clip and the holster so as to receive an article. In the gripping position, the clip is disposed such that, when an article is disposed between the clip and the holster, the article is gripped by the clip against at least one gripping surface portion of the holster under the force effecting biasing of the clip towards the gripping position. When the clip is disposed in the gripping position, and a handheld electronic device is received and supported by the pocket, coupling of the handheld electronic device to the article is thereby effected.

Abstract: A system or device for securely holding mountain tools, such as ice axes/ice tools and avalanche probe pools (and other such tools), on a backpack in a manner that allows the user to easily and conveniently acquire the tool when needed without first removing the backpack. This is applicable in emergency situations such as a crevasse fall where an ice axe in needed for preparing a rescue anchor or in the event of an avalanche where a probe pole is needed for a victim search. The system also allows for easy and convenient stowing of mountain tools without removal of the backpack as the situation dictates in non-emergency situations, such as after using the probe pole to probe for crevasses when crossing a glacier or after needing an ice tool for security when a repelling (abseiling) onto an icy stance.

Abstract: A mobile device and holster system includes a mobile device that has a front face and a back face opposite the front face, the back face including an elastomeric layer. A pair of longitudinal sides are coupled to the front face and back face, and a pair of latitudinal sides are also coupled to the front face and back face. The back face or the longitudinal sides define a recessed slot extending along a longitudinal length of the back face or longitudinal sides, respectively. The recessed slot defines an open end at at least one of the latitudinal sides and the recessed slot has a recessed slot surface that comprises a low-friction material. Abstract: A property and evidence bag comprising a deployable inner bag inside a pouch attached typically to the belt of an officer. The inner bag can be deployed and expands from its folded compact state inside the pouch. It is partially attached to the pouch and deploys by pulling a tab. Property and evidence can be placed in the inner bag and its opening can be secured using one hand by pulling on a draw string at its opening. This allows the officer to safely secure property and evidence found during an arrest while at the same time holding the arrestee at bay. After the arrestee is seated in the patrol car, the property and evidence found during the search of the arrestee's pockets can be itemized.
