Abstract: A tool to assist with hand-tying of knots in balloons, cords, and the like. The tool has a head consisting of a hollow tube with an opening running the length of the tube. The tube is typically tapered with a flange toward the larger end, and the opening is incorporated at an angle nonparallel to the center line of the tube, forming a notch feature that passively retains material on the head until removed by the user. The head is connected to a handle with two or more functionally independent finger loops. The tool may be retained on the hand without unduly impeding dexterity and provides for greater control of the tool when in use.

Abstract: A tape dispenser system includes a monolithic plastic injection molded frame with an integral anti-reverse rotation pawl. To help prevent the free end of a roll of tape from accidentally retracting, falling back, and frustratingly bonding onto the coiled portion of the tape, the pawl engages the inner diameter of a cardboard spool that holds the roll of tape. Strategically located mold parting lines and certain air gaps allow injection molding of a dispenser frame that has two spool-supporting sidewalls plus the integral pawl.

The provided adhesive tape dispenser overcomes the problem of jamming due to tape accumulation behind the blade by providing a switchable double cam system that allows adhesive tape to be dispensed, the cutter blade to be urged suddenly downward to cut the tape, and then the cutter blade suddenly retracted during one rearward motion of the tape-cutting button.

Abstract: An offset, double-sided tape dispenser. The dispenser mounts two independent rolls of single surface adhesive tape on a common spindle. One of the rolls is inverted resulting in one roll wound clockwise and the other roll wound counter clockwise. The tapes are simultaneously drawn from the two rolls through a guide, across a roller and then a cutter. The clockwise wound roll tape has its adhesive surface facing upward as the tape crosses the roller. The counter clockwise wound roll tape has its adhesive surface facing downward as the tape crosses the roller. The clockwise wound roll tape is positioned beneath the counter clockwise wound tape as the tape passes through the guide. This results in the counter clockwise tape being joined to the clockwise tape as both tapes pass over the roller. The resulting double sided adhesive tape is then formed into desired lengths by the cutter.

The strip includes a cover layer attached to a base layer to define a plurality of blisters therebetween that have one or more medications therein. The blisters are aligned in single file generally along the longitudinal axis between the first and second ends and/or otherwise arranged in single-dose packages adjacent one another, e.g., at least some of the single-dose packages including a plurality of blisters having different types of medications therein. A first single-dose package at the first dispensing end may be separable from a second adjacent single-dose package such that individual single-dose packages may be removed successively from the first dispensing end.

Abstract: An apparatus comprising a flexible plastic rectangular frame with a tape cutting edge; the sides of the frame flex to accommodate mounting on to a spool of pressure sensitive adhesive backed tape and are so formed as to retain the tape spool during dispensing and cutting variable lengths of the tape. The apparatus allows the tape to be dispensed upon application, cut to desired length, and upon cutting, provides capture of the supply end of the tape to ease the dispensing of additional lengths of tape. The tape spool is held within the frame by the spring tension exerted by the frame side as it is distorted during mounting of the dispenser to the tape spool.

This support continues throughout the cutting operation, so that curling, wrinkling or edge deformation of the wrapping paper is prevented. The flap member is provided with a flap slot in a hard polymeric sheet. An upper surface of the top wall of the dispenser is comprised of a hard flat polymeric sheet. The cutter traverses the flap slot when contacting the hard flat polymeric sheet, thereby severing the fully supported wrapping paper in a reliable, efficient manner. The cutter may be a separate cutting implement, such as a razor blade or knife. It may alternatively comprise an integral, spring loaded, slidable cutter that rides in the flap slot.

Abstract: The painter's tape dispenser with cutter has a base, a rotatable spindle for receiving a roll of tape, and a cutter mounted on the base, which is ergonomically dimensioned for a comfortable fit on the user's forearm. The base is generally triangular in shape, with a pair of elongated sides and a relatively narrow base of the triangle, so that the base is adapted to extend along the inside of the forearm between the elbow and the wrist. The cutter blade and pressure pad are secured together and are snap-fitted into the frame so that the blade extends a short distance beyond the front edge of the frame. The pressure pad applies pressure to the adhesive tape as it is being dispensed from the tape dispenser. The frame has side walls that each have a tab formed thereon. The tabs are positioned a short distance to the rear of the pressure pad and they do not extend below the lower edge of the side walls of the dispenser. The tabs are positioned and shaped in such a manner that tape from the roll is supported on the top surface of the tabs. The tape is biased into contact with the pressure pad by the tabs so that the tape is ready to be dispensed from the roll and is prevented from curling back onto the roll when cut.

Abstract: A hand held tape dispenser for applying adhesive tape to a surface. The dispenser includes a housing for holding and dispensing a roll of tape and has a tape dispensing opening therein. A plurality of rollers are within the housing, the outer surfaces of which coact with each other and the tape to retain, guide and feed the tape through the opening. The outer surface of at least one of the rollers protrudes through the opening on one side thereof enabling frictional contact of the roller with the surface to be taped. When the tape dispenser passes over the surface in one direction the outer surface of the roller engages the surface and the tape causing it to roll and to coact and drive the other rollers. This causes the rollers to grip the surfaces of the tape and feed the tape through the opening enabling the tape to adhesively contact the surface and adhere thereto. The tape is cut off at the opening.

Abstract: The present invention provides an apparatus for dispensing a roll of material such as a pressure sensitive adhesive tape. The apparatus includes an enclosable housing having a roll holding piece, a cover piece, and a hinge assembly for joining the roll holding piece and cover piece. The hinge assembly permits opening of the housing while the cover piece and roll holding piece remain connected by the hinge assembly. The apparatus also includes an applicator located proximate to the dispensing end for applying a material to a substrate; a discharge opening for the material, and a cutting member located proximate to the dispensing end for cutting the material. The apparatus of the present invention is particularly useful as a hand-held tape dispenser.

A plurality of rotatable cylindrical rollers are mounted within the housing, wherein the surfaces of the rollers coact with each other and the tape surfaces to retain, guide and feed the tape through the tape dispensing opening to the exterior application surface. At least two of the plurality of rollers are opposed rollers that engage the tape surfaces therebetween. The outer surface of at least one of the plurality of rollers protrudes through the opening enabling frictional contact of the roller surface with the substrate surface. When the dispenser is drawn over the surface, the outer surface of the this roller engages and rolls over the substrate surface. It also coacts with the outer surfaces of the other rollers, causing them to grip the tape and feed it through the opening, enabling the adhesive tape to be applied to the substrate surface.

The recess may include a plurality of corrugations. The position of the recess allows the user to have both an improved grip on the dispenser and to apply directed pressure to the upper wall thereby allowing the tape to be cut more easily. The upper wall of the dispenser is also provided with wings that offer increased protection to the palm of the user's hand so that the rotating roll of tape does not cause injury to the user.

In the vicinity of the application element a cut-off/separating element is provided for cutting off or separating the applied correction tape from the rest of the correction tape when lifting the device off an application surface.

The shaft is fitted in the slide channel to enable the cover to pivotally turn about the shaft between a lifted position for a user to pull out via the long opening a length of air-permeable tape disposed in the cylindrical body.

The large rotating wheel is bored with three recessed grooves around the outer circumference at its front end for the clasp of the small rotating wheel to be fixedly secured therein. Then the tape-roll fitting device is easy in handling and convenient in assembling or disassembling.

A toothed cutter having an outwardly curved central portion projects downwardly from a front edge of the cover base. An elastic press piece is insertably provided at a front end of the cutter, with a clamping projecting piece provided behind. The case base is provided with opposed recesses in corresponding positions. The recess opposed to the clamping projecting piece is insertably provided with another elastic press piece. The film wrap clamped by the push clamping seats in the case base can be pulled out between the case base and the cover base.

The foil is cut on teeth.

Abstract: A dispensing apparatus comprises the combination of a bandage case and a roll of bandages, the bandage case including a bottom panel and a side wall peripherally mounted integrally to the bottom panel, and a top panel extending from a tab mounted on the peripheral side wall at a living hinge adapted for folding the top panel into surface contact with a top edge of the peripheral side wall. This structure is a single molded part. The top panel is in airtight contact with the sidewall and is secured by a pin-in-hole engagement. The side wall provides a tape exit comprising a pair of side wall portions in side-by-side positions with a tape exit aperture and a tape dispensing cutoff element. The exit aperture provides flexible closure lips enabled for tape sliding contact to exclude dust from the interior of the case.

Abstract: A tape dispenser is formed of a main body, a cutter, and an unpacking blade. The main body has a front portion and two side portions for holding pivotally a tape reel. The cutter is mounted on the front portion to dispense the tape. The unpacking blade is located at the front end of the outer side of one of the two side portions of the main body. The unpacking blade is used to cut tapes or cords which are used in packaging goods.

Abstract: A portable dispenser with which lengths of a sheet material may be manually dispensed from a supply roll of the sheet material. The dispenser has a frame including a bridging portion adapted to extend along a portion of the periphery of the roll of sheet material, and end wall portions fixed to the ends of the bridging portion and adapted to extend along the opposite end surfaces of the roll of sheet material on which the roll of sheet material is rotatably journaled. A resiliently flexible cantilevered portion of the frame has a proximal edge fixed to the bridging portion and has a sharp cutting edge along its opposite distal edge. A guard portion of the frame extends between its end wall portions and has an inner surface extending along the side of the cutting edge opposite the roll.
