Abstract: An improved paperboard beverage carrier, made from a unitary blank, is disclosed having an improved carrying handle. The carrying handle comprises a longitudinal strap having three plies of paperboard material extending longitudinally across the top of the carrier and downward over and affixed to the carrier end walls. Hand hold apertures are provided either side of the three ply strap and include tear directing cuts whereby inadvertent tear lines from the hand hold apertures are directed into the three ply strap.

Abstract: A box is erected from a blank and has a rectangular bottom, four sides and a rectangular top. The top is formed by four flaps, each extending foldably from an upper edge of one of the sides. These flaps overlap and interlock with one another. The flaps are additionally provided with finger-grip openings dimensioned to receive fingers of a person carrying the box. The arrangement of the openings is such that when the box is carried by fingers received in the openings provided in the opposing flaps, the interlock between the flaps prevents the flaps from parting from one another.

Abstract: A carrier 10 has a bottom wall (24), side walls (22, 26), a top wall (20), and end walls. At least one of the end walls is is a composite structure of multiple-ply construction. The composite end wall is made up of multiple end wall flaps (40, 42, 44, 46) in face-to-face relation with respect to one another with a hand-hole handle structure formed from hand-hole apertures (48, 48a, 48b, 49, 49a, 49b) in each of the flaps aligned over one another. In each end wall flap score lines (51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 81, 82, 83, 84, 85, 86) extend from the respective ends of each aperture generally toward a corner of the flap. One of the score lines (62, 65, 82, 85) in each set extending from each aperture (48a, 48b, 49a, 49b) is coincident with a supplemental score line (25, 27) which extends from the end edge of the adjoining side wall (22, 26).

Abstract: A beverage carton has a center panel, a left panel foldably connected to the center panel along a left fold line, a right panel foldably connected to the center panel along a right fold line, and a strap handle formed from the center, left and right panels. The strap handle extends transversely, instead of longitudinally, across the center panel between the left and right panels to absorb lifting forces in the side panels rather than end panels of the carton.

Abstract: A handle structure for a carton is formed within a panel having a opposing side edges and opposing end edges that intersect to form corners of the handle panel, the handle structure. A strap member is integrally conjoined with the handle panel and extends between the end edges. Opposing strap edges are substantially disjoined from the handle panel. The strap member includes a substantially centrally disposed region wherein opposing central strap edge segments of the opposing strap edges are substantially parallel to and mediate the opposing side edges.

Abstract: An improved paperboard beverage carrier is disclosed having an improved lift handle. The improved lift handle comprises a laterally extending elongated handle opening within the top panel of the carrier. At least one continuous score line encircles the handle opening and extends onto the carrier side panels to limit the propagation of paperboard tears emanating from the handle opening. Predetermined perforated tear lines are further provided extending from the lateral ends of the handle opening and terminating at the encircling score line.

Abstract: The present invention provides a fully enclosed wrap-around carton for bottles and cans that can be tightly packaged. The carton has triangular panels between the ends of the lower side panel and each lower end flap that diverge away from the bottom panel. There are a pair of triangular panels between the sloping upper side panel and each upper end flap that diverge away from the top panel. These triangular panels tighten the carton against bottles or cans packaged therein.

Abstract: A container carrier including a blank of a foldable sheet material, in particular cardboard, for wrapping around a plurality of bottles or other containers which includes a bottom panel, side panels hingedly joined to the longitudinal edges of the bottom panel, and a top panel hingedly joined to other longitudinal edges of the side panels. Two spaced-apart handle openings are included in the top panel. The container carrier also includes a connection between one of the aforementioned panels and an adhesive tab hingedly attached to an adjacent panel or between overlapping sections of one of these panels. A further blank made of a foldable sheet material, in particular cardboard, is arranged above the plurality of containers which comprises a reinforcement panel provided under the top panel. Two further spaced-apart handle openings are included in the reinforcement panel arranged under the handle openings of the top panel and a connection to the blank to be wrapped around the containers.
