Abstract: The disclosed systems and methods relate to improved tamper-proof cases for securely storing and shipping products. A case can include a back panel, two sidewalls, an upper foldable section, and a lower foldable section. The features of the case can be manufactured on a single sheet of material. The upper and lower foldable sections include panels having apertures for holding the top and bottom of a product, respectively. The upper foldable section includes one or more fasteners that secures the upper foldable section to the sidewalls. Once secured, the products cannot be removed from the case without showing evidence of the removal. The case systems can also include one or more inserts, for example an upper insert and a lower insert, to provide additional structural support to the case and protection for the products stored therein.

Abstract: A battery package is described herein that advantageously maintains separation between batteries received therein while also providing a resealable opening to sequentially retrieve batteries therefrom. Further, the battery package can include an outer covering.

A pair of foldable wing extensions coupled to generally opposed sections of the base portion that foldably extend upwardly in a manner such that the foldable wing extensions substantially extend over the container mouth portion and mounted lid to form an interior pocket, in an engaged condition that substantially prevents access to the lid. A single use closure tape, laterally mounted to the wing extensions, has an upper lateral portion extending beyond the wing member, in an unsealed condition. A removable protective strip removably covers the tape adhesive of the tape lateral portion.

Abstract: A package assembly is provided with a plurality of pivotally connected panels to collectively at least partially enclose a product. At least one hang tab is pivotally connected to a minor panel of the plurality of pivotally connected panels, to extend through a slot in one of the plurality of pivotally connected panels to support the package assembly at retail. A method of assembling a package assembly provides the plurality of pivotally connected panels to collectively at least partially enclose and package the product. At least one hang tab is provided on a minor panel spaced from a pivotal connection of the minor panel to extend within the package. The minor panel is folded into the package. The at least one hang tab is inserted into a slot in one of the plurality of pivotally connected panels.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a carrier apparatus primarily for carrying containers having food products therein; but secondarily for carrying containers having any type of products contained therein. Specifically, the carrier apparatus of the present invention allows a user to transport various amounts and types of containers securely, minimizing disturbance to products, such as food products, contained therein. More specifically, the carrier apparatus of the present invention comprises a first configuration for carrying a first amount of containers and a second configuration for carrying a second amount of containers.

Abstract: Dual handle box designs, blanks for forming boxes by folding, collapsible and non-collapsible boxes formed thereby, and manufacturing methods therefor are disclosed. Preferably each handle is located on an opposite end of the box; is two-ply; defines an elongate hand opening for receiving fingers of a hand; defines an elongate tab opening for receiving a tab of a center handle, and that intersects the hand opening; and defines a recess for receiving and retaining a lid panel of the box. Furthermore, the boxes preferably have a waterproof or water-resistant coating applied and are used as ice coolers for beverages and food items.

Abstract: A blank used for making a rapidly erected and collapsible container is disclosed. The container is movable between a flat configuration and a box configuration. The blank comprises a primary panel and a secondary panel, which are hingedly coupled to each other. The primary panel is hingedly coupled to a terminal portion. The terminal portion is hingedly coupled to a terminal flap. The secondary panel is hingedly coupled to a secondary flap. The secondary flap is configured to fold towards the secondary panel. The terminal portion is configured to fold towards the primary panel. The terminal flap is configured to connect to the secondary flap. Embodiments foster a blank used for making a container that rapidly, easily, and conveniently transitions from a flat configuration to being ready for use in a box configuration. Moreover, the container provides speed and efficiency without compromising cost effectiveness and structural integrity.

The handle is housed within the handle aperture when in the stored position. The handle extends out of the handle aperture and is transverse to the top panel when in the raised position.

Abstract: A packaging container can be configured to include cushioning material and to be foldable between an expanded state in which the container can be used to ship an article and a compressed state in which the container occupies a smaller volumetric space without the article being contained therein. This can reduce shipping costs associated with transporting the empty container.

Abstract: A package includes a support member and a second support member coupled to a base member. The support members may be configurable between a heating position and a storage position. When in the heating position a recess is positioned below the support members. The package may be part of an assembly further including a flexible container. The flexible container may include a first portion with a food product and a second portion configured to receive liquid byproducts given off by the food product. The second portion of the flexible container may be received in the recess when the assembly is in the heating position.

Abstract: A carrier has a bottom, a plurality of side panels connected to the bottom, and a handle panel. The handle panel is connected to one of the side panels or the bottom. The handle panel includes a fold line, a first aperture, a second aperture, a first perforated line in continuation of the first aperture and the second aperture, and a second perforated line defining a finger opening in the handle panel. Pressure applied on the first perforated line tears apart material to produce a third aperture in continuation of the first aperture and the second aperture. Pressure applied inside the second perforated line dislocates material to produce the finger opening. When the third aperture is open in continuation of the first aperture and the second aperture, the handle panel folds along the fold line over a container to facilitate penetration of a handle of the container through the first aperture, the second aperture, and the third aperture.

Abstract: A dispenser is for removal of containers, e.g., beverage and non-beverage containers, held in a matrix configuration within a carton. A dispenser opening is defined in the carton's top panel with the dispenser opening being oriented on a single longitudinal axis oriented normal to the top panel. The dispenser opening is sized to allow egress of each container in the container matrix. Retaining flaps are included with the dispenser to inhibit unintended egress of the containers. A push hole may be provided in the carton opposite from the dispenser to allow access by a user to push the container out of the dispenser.

In one embodiment a handle reinforcing material may be disposed between the handle cutouts. In one embodiment the handle cutouts may be partial, and attached portions of material forming residual cutout flaps may remain attached within the cutouts. Other structural elements may be present to maximize economy of space while maintaining structural integrity, conserving materials and providing a package that is convenient for consumers.

A pair of diametrically opposed corner panels are folded inwardly into contact with opposed end panels. The end panels comprise rectangular cutout holes surrounding foldable flaps. The lid has a central panel that is divided from integral end panels and integral side panels. A lid side panel extending vertically downwardly is coupled to the carton. Lid end panels have elliptical orifices that register with carton cutout regions and adjoining slots that align with handle anchor orifices. An alternative lid has flaps comprising major and minor segments separated by a diagonal fold line. The minor segment has an apex that releasably biases the flap in engagement with the end panel, yieldably locking the lid.

Abstract: A wrap-around style or end-loaded carton for enclosing articles such as cans in multiple rows is formed from a single blank of sheet material, and includes a three-ply top wall and an integrated composite handle that is centrally located so as to balance the load in the carton when the handle is raised to an upright position. The top wall includes an outer panel, and intermediate panel, and an inner top panel, each hingedly connected to another. The composite handle is struck from the outer panel and the intermediate panel and is liberated or partially detachable therefrom so as to be hingedly connected to the top wall, and rotatable to an upright position. When the handle is raised, at least a portion of each edge of the top wall is reinforced by at least one additional layer of carton material, and thus, is at least two plies thick.

Abstract: A container suitable for storage of food and drink items is disclosed that allows for a quick visual check of whether the container has been properly and completely packed. The container also can be easily and inexpensively constructed from a single sheet of fiberboard. The container includes a base, wall sections, and a lid that is hingedly connected to one of the wall sections. The lid can include a handle and an aperture that allows the top of a drink bottle to extend out of the container. This provides a way to quickly verify the contents of the container.

Abstract: A carton has side panels extending upwardly from respective edges of the carton's bottom. Upright edges of the side panels are respectively connected to one another to define upright corners of the carton. At least a first opening to the carton's interior extends across a first of the upright corners. At least one partition has opposite ends that are respectively pivotably connected to the side panels that define the first upright corner, so that the partition can be pivoted between a deployed configuration and an undeployed configuration. The partition at least partially closes the first opening in the undeployed configuration. The partition extends into the carton's interior and at least partially around a compartment during the deployed configuration, whereby the partition at least partially defines the compartment during the deployed configuration. At least a second opening extends through the partition.

Abstract: A bag-in-box beverage container and dispenser is provided, incorporating an outer shell fabricated preferably from corrugated paperboard material, and an inner liquid containing bag, fabricated from a suitable material. The carton includes ready assembly features, as well as an air cell structure for creating an air space for insulating hot liquids contained within the container. An easy opening feature is provided, to permit direct access to the inner liquid containing bag, and a recessed handle structure is also provided.

The box also comprises a left side wall with a lower flap configured to form a portion of the box bottom and an upper flap configured to form a portion of a handle. The box further comprises a rear wall with a lower flap configured to form a portion of the box bottom and an upper flap having a portion configured to surround the handle, the upper flap further comprises a distal portion configured to surround a mouth attached to the flexible bag. The box also comprises a front wall with an opening for receiving a mouth of the flexible bag, the front wall also has a lower flap configured to form a portion of the box bottom.

Abstract: A container primarily for hot (or cold) beverages such as gourmet coffee has an outer shell formed of a stiff sheet material having heat insulating properties such as cardboard which can be erected from a flat storage condition to enclose an inner lining member for containing the liquid. The inner liner is blow molded from a plastics material to form an integral structure including a neck and a handle projecting through openings in the shell so as to be exposed on an exterior of the container for manual transportation and lifting of the container. The use of a blow molded integral liner allows the handle to be integral with the liner and relatively stiff as a tubular member parallel to an inclined upper surface of the liner. An optional folded leg can be provided to allow the liner to be drained through an optional spigot on the neck. An optional accessory box can be slung on a flap engaged around the neck.

Abstract: A laboratory tote, formed from a single sheet of corrugated polymeric material, includes a receptacle portion defined by a bottom wall and respective end walls and sidewalls hingedly joined to opposing edges of the bottom wall. A handle extends between the sidewalls and above the receptacle to facilitate placement and removal of items into and out of the receptacle. The tote may be provided with a variety of partitions formed from separate removable components and configured to divide the receptacle into compartments of varying size, as desired.

Each side panel has an integral outer handle panel comprising an inner roof segment that forms the container top and handle segments with locking tabs that are captivated within the receptive slot. A radiused locking tab ramp comprises an enlarged portion providing an overcenter action. Notches adjacent the tabs captivate the locking panels.
