Abstract: A multipart cover made of paper material and including a base body having a cover plate and a circumferential cover collar extending from the cover plate, wherein the cover collar, in a condition where same is placed onto a vessel to be closed, surrounds an upper rim of a vessel to be closed, and a reinforcement ring surrounds the cover collar at least sectionally on the radially exterior side of the cover collar. The cover collar includes at least one bead encircling the cover collar in the circumferential direction, and when viewed in the elevation direction the bead is disposed at a constant distance from the cover plate.

Abstract: A carton, package, or container formed from a blank and that include a film or other moisture resistant lining applied thereto are described. The film is adhered to the inside panels of the carton, package, or container. The carton, package, or container are capable of receiving a lid and contents therein when formed. The cartons, packages, and containers include reclosable features and may be sealed against moisture and other environmental factors.

Abstract: A container cover comprises a central dome, a peripheral rim portion surrounding the central dome, wherein the central dome extends upwardly from the peripheral rim portion, a skirt extending downwardly from an outer edge of the peripheral rim portion, and a plurality of grippers. Each gripper comprises a flange extending downwardly from a lower surface of the peripheral rim portion and at least two gripping fingers extending downwardly from the flange. The skirt and the grippers form a space for receiving an edge protrusion, for example a curled edge, of a container body. Each of the at least two fingers has a protrusion extending toward the skirt and the fingers are adapted to provide a gripping force to an edge protrusion of a container received in the space. The plurality of grippers are spaced from one another around the peripheral rim portion. The container cover may be combined with a container body having an edge protrusion at its opening.

Abstract: A carton formed from a unitary blank for storing food within and methods of manufacture of the carton therefrom, are disclosed herein. The carton comprises a generally rectangular bottom having a pair of major bottom flaps and a pair of minor bottom flaps that are folded to form a substantially closed bottom, and a pair of major side panels, a pair of minor side panels, and a secondary side panel that are folded perpendicular to the bottom. An opening is defined by the upper ends of the major side panels and the minor side panels opposite the bottom and is generally non-rectangular.

Abstract: A food enclosing container that has a top member and a bottom member, each formed of absorbent, corrugated paperboard, wherein at least one of the members has pressformed sidewalls. The paperboard has at least three layers, a smooth first layer, a smooth third layer and a corrugated layer interposed between the first and third layers. The top member has an unsealed interior surface so that it can absorb moisture from a contained food product. The bottom member has a grease barrier layer within the interior of its paperboard preferably positioned on the top surface of the third layer. Each of the members have engageable peripheral rims, which have a releasable, rebondable cohesive applied to the rims to permit the members to be bonded together, separated and rebonded together.

Abstract: A paper or foam cup having an aperture in the cap positioned to enable a user to drink from the cup through the aperture. Leakage through a gap between cap and cup, normally found in caps of the prior art formed by a step in the rim of the cup at the meeting location of the cup rim and seam of the cup, is prevented by any one of sevearal embodiments of the invention.

Abstract: A composite lid formed of plastic resin and paperboard is disclosed along with a method of making the lid. The lid has a primary panel of paperboard defining its center and a plurality of secondary panels, also of paperboard, continuously attached to the perimeter of the primary panel and oriented perpendicularly to its plane. A skirt of plastic resin is attached to the inside surfaces of the secondary panels, the secondary panels being in edge abutting relationship and totally covering the skirt. The primary and secondary panels thus form a lid having a continuous outer surface capable of receiving a print media, the continuous outer surface extending entirely over the lid. A bar of resin is provided around the inside surface of the primary panel and resin spokes connect the bar to the skirt. Raised segments are positioned intermittently around the inside surface of the skirt, the segments engaging a container to hold the lid in place.
