Abstract: A foldable lid for a box-type container includes a promotional panel that has a printable surface disposed on the same side of the blank used to create the lid as the other printing surfaces of the lid. When the blank is printed, material can be added to the promotional panel at the same time and with the same equipment as the other surfaces of the lid. When the lid is assembled, the promotional panel is disposed on the inside of the main body panel of the lid facing the cavity of the container. When the user removes the lid, the promotional panel can be viewed.

Abstract: A shipping and display container and a method of disassembling the same, having a first and second blanks configured to form respective first and second sections of the container when nested. The blanks are affixed to one another at least one cooperating fixation area. When a force is applied, the at least one fixation area of the first section is separated from the first section, and the at least one fixation area of the second section is disengaged from a portion of the second section as to rotate about a hinge. The fixation area of the second section remains affixed to the fixation area of the first section, and allows the first section of the container to be separated from the second section of the container. The second section of the container is retained to display the contents of the container.

Abstract: A combined trash receptacle and condiment holding apparatus includes a base member having a plurality of side walls configured in such a manner that an orifice as well as a plurality of recessed receptacles are formed in the base member, a plurality of vessels removably positioned within the receptacles, respectively, and supported at the base member, and a container removably positioned within the orifice and intermediately juxtaposed between the vessels respectively. The container is adapted to receive and segregate the trash therein while the vessels are adapted to receive the foodstuff therein. The orifice and the receptacles extend downwardly from an uppermost surface of the base member and remain supported on a lowermost surface of the base member. In this manner, the container and the vessels remain at a static and fixed upright position when the base member is transported.

Abstract: Reusable and recyclable target temperature storage and shipping containers designed to maintain the content therein within desired temperature levels for greatly extended periods of time are disclosed. A First species is customized to maintain refrigeration temperatures for extended periods of time and the Second species maintains freezing temperatures for extended periods of time. Both species models include containers having outer protective layers and inner insulating layers as well as a cavity for holding payload being stored or shipped, and one or more areas for holding passive coolants in a predetermined relationship to the products within specific target temperatures. The different species provide cold or freezing temperatures in reusable or disposable models for various applications.

Mitered edges of adjacent fold-over regions align to define mitered corners of the box opening periphery. Intermediate side flaps connected to the outer shell bottom are sandwiched between the side outer faces and inner face flaps, and a locking flap connected to one of the sides defines an interior bottom. The lid top face is connected to a first set of outer side faces connected by a fold-over region to inner side faces. One inner side face is connected to a top locking liner flap that extends to an abutment with the inner side face to define the lid interior. A second set of outer side faces connects to intermediate flaps sandwiched between the first set of outer side faces and inner side faces.

Abstract: A container assembly having an inner container and an outer cover fixedly attached to one another. The inner container has multiple sidewalls for forming the inner container sidewalls and has a bottom forming flap attached thereto. The outer cover has multiple cover sidewalls that fit over the inner container sidewalls to enclose the inner container. At least one attachment member attached to and extending from the outer cover is attached to the bottom forming flap, thereby fixedly attaching the inner container to the outer container. The attachment member can be separated from the container outer cover to allow removal of the outer cover from the inner container without marring the finish of the outside face of the sidewalls of the inner container. A knockdown assembly that is erectable to form the container assembly is also provided.

Abstract: A container preassembly which has an inner sleeve in a flat unopened position disposed within an outer sleeve in a flat unopened position. The two sleeves are adapted to form the two ends of the container and are secured together in the aligned relationship of the final open container, thereby allowing the preassembly to be opened into the form of the final container without requiring further adjustment. Once opened, the flaps for forming the container bottom are folded to create a container ready for use. A method of making the container preassembly is also provided.

Abstract: A waterproof, anti-wicking, and fully recyclable corrugated container comprises a base portion having a bottom wall, a pair of opposite side walls, a pair of opposite end walls, and a plurality of joined flaps foldably joined with the side walls and the end walls. Each of the plurality of the joined flap folds onto itself to form a gusset that is attached to the respective side walls. A lid portion is telescopically engaged over the base portion such that is coextensive in length and width with the base portion side walls and end walls. The lid portion comprises a score or crease line formed along near free edge of the side walls to inhibit liquid from traveling up through the side walls.

Abstract: A shipping container convertible to a display configuration has a removable cover base removable along perforated lines of weakness to form a display opening. Packages of product in the carton are supported in a horizontal orientation during shipping and in an upright orientation when the removable cover base is removed for display of the products at a point of sale. Roll-over flaps on one wall at the bottom of the display opening capture tuck flaps on opposite side walls, and full overlapping top flaps folded inwardly from opposite side walls close the display opening during shipment. An outer top flap has an end extending over the roll-over flaps, and the end is free of attachment to the roll-over flaps. The top flaps are removed with the removable cover base. In one embodiment a flange extends inwardly over an edge of the display opening to keep packages from falling out.

Abstract: Containers and methods for storing animal waste, such as feline or canine waste, human waste, and/or soiled waste products, and controlling associated odor are described. A container having a compressible body with an open top, is provided, the body of the container including a material substantially impermeable to vapor to prevent permeation of odor through the body. Waste is deposited within the container, and a closing member is used to secure the open top of the container in a closed position to at least partially prevent exodus of air carrying the odor from the interior. A filtering member secured within the interior of the container further removes odor to minimize exodus of odor from the container into the surrounding environment. The container can thereby effectively store waste while controlling associated odors, enabling indoor storage, or similar temporary retention of the contained waste until outdoor disposal becomes convenient.

The carton comprises a center panel, foldable end panels, foldable side panels, and foldable corner panels. A pair of diametrically opposed corner panels are folded inwardly into contact with opposed end panels. The end panels comprise rectangular cutout holes surrounding foldable flaps. The lid has a central panel that is divided from integral end panels and integral side panels. A lid side panel extending vertically downwardly is coupled to the carton. Lid end panels have elliptical orifices that register with carton cutout regions and adjoining slots that align with handle anchor orifices. An alternative lid has flaps comprising major and minor segments separated by a diagonal fold line. The minor segment has an apex that releasably biases the flap in engagement with the end panel, yieldably locking the lid.

Abstract: A container assembly having an inner container and an outer cover that fits over the inner container. The inner container is positioned within the outer cover. The outer cover includes an overlay formed in the outer cover sidewalls by a tear line allowing the overlay to be detached from the outer cover. An adhesive secures the inner container and the outer cover together with the adhesive being provided between the inner container and the overlay so that the overlay can detach from the outer cover and remain attached to the inner container over the adhesive when the outer cover is removed from the inner container. The transparent protective member (insert) has a top surface and a plurality of peripheral walls that surround the top surface (e.g., around a peripheral edge thereof) so as to define a structure that is free standing and independent from both the base and the cover.

Abstract: A collapsible storage device includes a collapsible container and a lid for the container. The container includes a plurality of resilient wall panels and a hinge portion connecting each adjacent pair of wall panels. The container may be foldably converted between a substantially flat collapsed position and a substantially rectangular prismatic expanded position by articulating the wall panels about the flexible hinges. At least one of the hinge portions is arched to latch the container in the expanded position. The lid may be used to cover the container in the expanded position and receive the container in the collapsed position.

In one embodiment the lid is of fiberboard material and the side walls of the container are aligned with the score lines of the lid.

Abstract: The present invention includes a blank and container formed of cellulose-based materials configured to form a triangular shaped container. The container includes a triangular shaped bottom panel, side walls and a rear wall that define a first triangular volume. The top panel and second side panels generally form a second triangular volume that is slightly larger than the first triangular volume. The second triangular volume is configured to fold over the first triangular volume such that the top panel and second side panels fully enclose the bottom panel and the first side panels. The container is locked by a friction fit between juxtaposed tabs inserted into a slot located between the ends of the intersecting first side panels.

The central panel has an annular area conterminous with the score lines attaching the side panels. The annular area is crushed, the liners and corrugated material being crushed together.

Abstract: The invention disclosed herein provides an apparatus and method for securely collecting, storing, and disposing of documents by attaching a reusable, secure, lockable closure to a cardboard receptacle box. The lockable closure has a slot in the top to allow documents to be deposited in the box. Two opposing side surfaces of the lockable closure have an interior lip that engages the box flap in such a way as to prevent the unwanted removal of the closure. The closure can be secured to the box with a locking seal such as a cable tie through locking holes located on the top surface and two opposing sides of the lockable closure as well as the box flaps and box sides. A hole allows removal of the lockable closure by exerting pressure on the flap. The disclosed method provides the steps of providing a single lockable closure, a plurality of receptacle boxes, and a number of locking seals capable of fitting through the holes.

The lateral edges of the front and rear panels of the cover are sized to prevent lateral displacement of the cover.

Abstract: A packaging container is formed from a single preformed, rigid unit of U-shaped cross-section having a generally flat bottom wall. The unit forms two end closures from first and second closure panels extending from both ends of a main body portion. The closure panels are foldably connected to the main body portion and each other by first and second fold lines. The main body side walls have straight-cut corners at junctures with the first closure panels, and the first closure panel side walls have straight-cut corners adjacent to the main body, forming square corners when folded. The first closure panel side walls also have straight-cut corners adjacent to the second closure panels, and the second closure panels side walls have straight-cut corners adjacent to the first closure panels, forming square corners when folded to form the end closures.
